With black, white, and deep purple colors it is quite eye catching. When walking through the hall the lights are a light purple catching the glimmer of the crystals that hang the entrance. Once inside a woman hanging through a hoop is pouring champagne for the guests. I am sure this is an extra but very cool to know it's an option. The International buffet was eclectic from Hunan dumplings to garlic shrimp and shish kabobs. The food was very tasty and decor nice. The only con was the dance floor was made of some sort of vinyl instead of wood which made it hard to flow. All in all really beautiful hall.

I'd recommend to anyone who is looking for a NY that's outside of the house parties and club scene the crowed is mixed and tables come in placements of 10 so 5 couples is ideal for a full table and tickets sell out fast. The music was off the hook and they gave out door prices and Gold star entertainment provided light sticks glow rings and other great party favors!

I can't wait to see it all come together on November 13th! : )

What is your budget?…read more This is the first question you'll hear out of their mouth when you show up to visit their facilities. Renting the building and its furniture only did not seem like an option at all. We backed off because of the poor attitude of the staff. (+) Large space (-) Location; Low ceilings; No 'wow' effect. Please be aware that they are not asking what they can do to make your event special. They are really focused on getting the most $ out of you. The one staff wanted to charge 400$ per person for a 3 service banquet type of event or else he would serve corn to our guests! ...all of that even though we told them we would hire our own food service. This is not the way potential clients should be treated and it gave us a pretty clear idea of how their customer service is running after you sign a contract with them. We met two staff during our visit. The first one was nice but still very focused on our budget while the second one should be fired.

They tried, but their attempts at exotic dishes missed the mark. The room where the talks were held was very big with high ceilings and semi-stadium seating so that people in the back could see. The screen wasn't huge, but it was big enough. The last night we had a banquet in the large ballroom on the top floor, and that was very nice. It looks like a wedding venue. It would make a very nice wedding venue actually and I'm sure they have them there all the time. So it was a little weird feeling like I was at a wedding with a bunch of virus scientists.... The service during lunch/dinner was great. The waiters were nice and attentive. No complaints there. Overall, I liked the venue and wouldn't mind going back there for another meeting. Be careful with the food though.

I expect dried chicken but instead got veal filet. And I don't even know what that desert was except it was freaking amazing. As convention centers go, it works. We had a mixed experience working with this company to plan our wedding at their Salon Richmond,…read moreand felt it was important to share. On the positive side, the space is stunning and the food was excellent - both were highlights for us. However, our experience on the planning side raised several concerns. Communication and expectations were unclear from the outset. We initially believed we would be working with one team member, but later learned that a different person would be managing our wedding, which was not clearly communicated and created confusion early on. Throughout the process, we found the planner's approach to be rigid and not particularly collaborative. We were open to guidance, but often felt that our preferences were dismissed in favor of doing things a specific way. During our tasting, for example, some of our menu selections (chosen directly from the venue's own offerings) were criticized as not being "classy" or "elegant," which felt inappropriate and unnecessarily condescending. There were also multiple instances that felt unprofessional, including meetings starting late and recurring interruptions during scheduled time together. We also encountered a significant issue regarding payment transparency for a vendor booked through the venue. A deposit we paid was invoiced as a payment toward the band, but was not fully applied as such, and this was not disclosed at the time of payment. The matter was only resolved after escalation. While it is clear that the team is capable of executing events, our experience did not reflect the level of professionalism, transparency, or care that is essential when planning a wedding. A wedding is not just another event, and the planning process requires a level of respect, communication, and client focus that we did not consistently experience here. Due to these concerns, we ultimately chose to move forward with a different venue, as we did not feel confident continuing with the planning process. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this venue for weddings. Couples should proceed with caution and ensure they have a clear, documented understanding of vendor payments, responsibilities, and expectations before committing!

Further, the food was well prepared and looked after with staff hovering over it to ensure that there is always enough quantity to be served. Whether it's for a wedding, a party, an event, a seminar training, job fair or even to place my vote at an old job site if I wanted to go on strike or not .... "The Palace" was always an average experience. It's relatively large with the ability to have one big floor upstairs or split into smaller ones. Decorations do attempt to look nicer, especially the ceiling and chandeliers but the rest is as generic as they come. This may be mostly to avoid fancy floor decorations if your convention center is being used to provide a seminar or job fair. The on-site services are relatively nice, I actually really like their washrooms, always very clean, well presented with lots of room. Stairs are big and circular and their coat check is always fast and efficient. What sets me back is how ugly the carpets are and how every single event here has the most mediocre food ever! I don't think I've ever eaten anything here worth eating. Can I ask for some decent food for a change? It's a hard sell when across the street I can get the best pizza/pasta in Laval and have a bunch of good places to eat within 2-3 KM.
