The website is useless, and their virtual assistant (called "Chelsea". A.I.?) doesn't even work properly. The website isn't setup (desktop PC) properly, and you can't log-in anywhere due to poor formatting. The mobile phone app for android devices is also useless. They push this junk software and are going BACKWARDS in quality of service. I'm not able to do any routine banking tasks with them at this point. Very poor customer service! I've been with Metro Credit Union (used to be Mass State Employees Credit Union) for 40+ years, and I don't recommend them at all.

Up until that point I had tons of debt from various credit card companies. It was tough to pay them all foen due to the high interest rates. Joe was able to do a balance transfer, consolidate my debt to a new line of credit that was interest free for like a year and a half. Solved everything and I'm debt free due to a random phone call. Thanks citizens. Aside from this, all the tellers are extremely polite and pretty cute too. They always make a point to welcome the customer with a smile. Even when there are long lines they periodically say "thanks for your patience!" Which makes me a little less irritated that I'm stuck standing in line at the bank. We feel as if we are under extreme scrutiny when we go there. They make us feel as if we shouldn't be there and we are doing something wrong: usually cashing a check against our checking account or depositing checks. I feel as if they look for any reason to not cash checks, we get the look similar to what people get when being pulled aside at a security checkpoint in a war zone, and all the fees are chocked up to "That's just what we charge." I was even told about 7 months ago, "Your lucky we are here." How terrible!!! I've had my same checking account since 1988, a mortgage which I paid off (they wouldn't release my title till I "proved" I paid it off which took a lawyer), and a home equity line which we paid off after getting the hardest time about it. Today is the last straw! They gave my wife, who is on my account, the worst time when trying to cash a check. By next month at this time I can tell Bank America to kiss my butt!!! If you are starting off with any bank around this area, believe you me, unless you like balls of anxiety when banking, feeling belittled, and paying many fees for this experience, go somewhere else!

Worst. Service. Ever. They consistently understaff (one teller) and attack you when you walk in to…read moresee if you can use the ATM instead of the teller. Well, not until your ATM gives 10's, 5's and 1's, or can change rolled coin, type a bank check, dispense traveler's checks, etc. I always combine transactions (i.e.; make a payment, cash in rolled coin) when I go into the lobby, but I am always approached by a staff member (2 yesterday) to shoo me out to the ATM. I want to say to them "Really? You have *machines* that give out *money*? WOW - when did *that* happen??" -or- "I'm sorry, am I *bothering* you? I know this is a full-service branch, but maybe you'd rather be playing on social media?" Funny, every time I go in to this branch, there is a line for the teller, but there are 2 customer service reps. at their desks (and sometimes one in the office), with nobody in front of them. Seems like very poor management. I realize the banking industry has been pushing ATM's since the 90's - and have been able to successfully cut back on staffing at the branch level. But somehow, that's just not enough. They just don't want to pay salaries/benefits, and their customer service is almost non-existent because of this. Hey BofA - either SERVE customers at the branch level or CLOSE the branch, but don't punish customers for being customers!
