Had mixed feelings on this one but my experience was actually not bad. When I arrived I was asked if I had an appointment. We said no and that I had cut my hand and it would not stop bleeding. They said that they would try to get me in but it could take up to an hour. After checking in, I was seen with 10 minutes. They got me cleaned up and got stitches all within about 30 minutes from the time I arrived. If you call before you leave they can usually get you in pretty fast. read more

Caring staff, competent professionals. I have always received wonderful care at Salem Clinic. I like that they have many different treatment options like primary care providers, labs, imaging, urgent care and more. They have multiple locations in Salem which is very convenient. Front desk and nurses were nice and helpful. However, Dr. Sloan is incompetent and needs to be reviewed. I had to take my son for a second opinion after Dr.Sloan said he was "perfectly fine". My son was not. Luckily the second Dr we saw at a different clinic provided my son with the care he needed. read more

I hurt my knee a little over two months ago and I was hoping to get some answers on what I did. The doctor who saw me wiggled it around a bit, asked me to walk around (there is no space to walk around in a small office) gave me a useless brace for it, prescribed me medication, and referred me to physical therapy. He told me straight up that knee injuries are complicated and he didn't know what was wrong so they would figure it out in PT. I have tried to change my referral to PT Northwest, and the doctor is refusing to sign off on it since it is not connected to Salem Clinic. I have been walking around for TWO MONTHS on an injured knee. I have called twice a week every week asking for my referral status and they strung me along each time. After getting off the phone today, they said that there is not much they can do since the doctor won't sign it and to go somewhere else. Do not ever go here. They will not take care of you. read more

Just a heads up. "Urgent care" is actually false advertising. You need to get an appointment so if it's truly urgent don't waste time and go to an emergency room. I drove all the way in from Stayton and had to turn around and go home to the emergency room. Should be described as a clinic for those without a primary care physician. read more

Salem Clinic is one of the most incompetent billing staff I've ever come across. They billed my insurance for the wrong thing. They charge me over $300 for an appointment that should have been under $20. I called them over 6 times with ZERO help. When I called my insurance they tried to contact billing at Salem Clinic, and Salem refused to fix it. Although Dr. Stoessl is hands down the best doctor I've ever had. It's just unfortunate he works for such an awful and incompetent place. read more

I was told by the business office my name had been changed in the system, as I legally changed it, they said it was all good and my prescriptions would be resent over. It's been three months, I've been without medications I need to function for three months. The business office, patient advocate, nurses, and a doctor have all been rude and unhelpful. I shouldn't been starved of my medication because I'm transgender, shameful. read more

Worst experience ever! I would never recommend going there! My mother was prescribed the wrong medications multiple times. An urgent message was left for the dr to return her call to get the correct meds. And two days later, after calling 4-5 more times and leaving messages they called back. They said they were unable to speak to us, even though they had many times prior. Needless to say this is not the last time they will here from me or my attorney! read more

I have always found the staff to be professional and caring. Let me give you an example of how they accommodated me. After my appt., I crossed the street to wait for the bus to take me home. Apparently I had just missed it and it was an hourly bus. To make matters worst, it was pouring down rain and the wind turned my umbrella inside out. Front desk staff members apparently saw me standing there and one them came to get me and bring me back into the building. Another staff member brought me a blanket and a cup of hot coffee. I had no money with me, only my bus pass. I was soaked and miserable and was not familiar with the bus schedule so that I did not know when to go back out in time to catch the next bus. These same staff members took up a collection so that I could take a cab home! The medical staff has always done an excellent job as far as I'm concerned and been very professional. As far as my GP goes, Dr. Lee, you couldn't ask for a better doctor. He takes the time to listen even when he's got a tight schedule. All in all, I am very pleased with Salem Clinic. read more

Attempted to get a new patient appointment with Dr Cooley. The receptionist was quite rude and said that he is not taking new patients. I told her that the Cigna website showed Dr Cooley as accepting new patients and she dismissively said "the website is not updated regularly". She didn't offer any options for seeing another doctor and when I finally said "well I guess I'll have to look for another doctor" she said "yep" and hung up on me. read more

I can certainly understand how people can be frustrated with the care they experience. And if that had been my own experience, I would feel the same. But all the staff have been friendly and helpful, and I've never had a problem with seeing a doctor, getting prescriptions or referrals to specialists. The care I've received has been excellent. read more

All doctors have been excellent, especially Dr. Cooley. I've gone to the South Clinic since it opened. Annuals, illnesses, injuries. Always found them friendly and competent in all servuces. read more

Side Note: I received a robo call to remind me of my appointment I heard the voice tell me it was at 10:30 am. The appointment was 2:15 pm I had it written down. I double checked when I called about a reschedule due to how early it was and my distance of travel. This Clinic has been around awhile same decor also. It was very busy, I had seen many familiar faces there. People asked me multiple times if I have been there before or have I seen this doctor before. I told them no but I am certain that I have many years ago. I also had seen certain people there that I have had previous encounters with and not in a good way.  I went in with some issues and had to get blood test done. I found it odd though the woman who did the test put the usual rubber tie around my arm rubbed the area with the cotton ball. She didn't wait for the vein to come up though she just stuck the needle in. She took 3 samples and put a sticker on it and asked if the sticker with my name on it was me. After she put the needle in my arm. She did call my name in the lobby, why wait to confirm it? After the blood test had been taken already. It should have been confirmed before. I have had this issue before and it looked like the same woman who did it the last time. It felt like a stage for a TV series or The Truman Show. I know this review will end up with me being hurt or someone or something I love will be hurt or taken a way from me I just hope it won't for once. read more

We went to Salem Clinic to See Dr. Eller. It would be two days to wait. The receptionist said it is $186 to see Dr. Eller or $186 to see Urgent Care. We paid $186 and saw Urgent Care. We got a bill for $5 more and Kendra refused to disclose what all the $191 included, saying you have to fill out a request form. Kendra also said we were told the $186 was a base fee. We were not told that and we were not told that it could be more. Sure, it is only $5 but it is the principle of charging more without warning ahead of time. The service is fine (and that is most important). The billing method is seriously lacking! read more

Second time with issue, different med person, which was a PA. Oh my, never succumb to a PA. They are paid from insurance for DOCTOR $$$ but a PA is NOT a doctor, yet. Thank God this one never makes it. This PA did NOT ask any pertinent questions. I told her that on a previous visit at the main clinic I was given what works for me, and the doctor at that visit agreed. The PA said she didn't want to lose her license if she gave me what I asked for. It's a common med, not a controlled substance or an opioid. She also did NOT ask what medications I was currently taking. She must have used chart from previous visits to assume what I was taking, but it has been many months since that last visit. Many other doctor visits have occurred, and other meds have been prescribed. She asked NOTHING about anything I was currently taking. What she did prescribe left me wondering. I took 3 pills and subsequently suffered considerable pain in urinary tract. A consult with Urologist confirmed her prescription would cause that, as it would override what I was supposed to take. Bottom line, clinic still wants me to pay difference from insurance payment, and I think it only reasonable that they drop it. I will have to continue to fight this. I may even have to sue. They must think getting the $62.50 is more important than paying out a few thousand plus legal fees. Best advice I can give is, other that previously stated, don't go to this clinic. You're just another source of $$$$ to them. They are more concerned about themselves than YOU. read more

Waited months to be seen only to have the provider tell me he didn't have time to go over my health concerns - printed off information from the computer and sent me on my way. I'm a health care provider and have good insurance. Wondering how they treat the rest of the population. I went back to my primary provider in Portland the same day. Hope everyone else can find care elsewhere. read more

Do not use these guys, I was admitted three times to the hospital because of my legs going numb and in between hospital visits I ended up with two mini strokes, when I signed up for Dr. Devaux, as my new primary care doctor to help investigate what may be causing the leg numbness and the mini strokes since they were unable to ID anything while I was in the hospital, but all Dr. DeVaux seemed interested in is preventive medicine where he can sell me a whole lot of cholesterol prescriptions even though my cholesterol test showed my levels were just four points away from a normal healthy test or useless CPAP tests or a chest x-ray because I used to smoke just in case of lung cancer and when I asked him about what would cause my immediate symptoms all he could say was my symptoms don't match my test results, and that's it, when I called him out on his lack of concern over my immediate health issues, and that I wouldn't be using his services any longer, I had decided at that point to go try and find a different doctor in the same clinic that may be a little more "interested", but II just received a certified letter from their corporate office telling me that they were firing me as a patient because of my abusive language, There was never any abusive language used to him or any of his staff and I have the text messages to prove it, read more

I cannot give this clinic enough praise for how pleased I was when I had to drop in due to an ankle injury this morning. The service was impeccable, friendly and professional. I got there about 9:45 a.m. and got checked in by Jill. She was super friendly and courteous and quick. She asked if I needed a wheelchair, which I didn't. The check-in process was so easy. I went and sat down for about 10 minutes. Alex, the LPN, called me in and took me back. He was very friendly and professional as well and had a nice personality. Then Dr. Eller came in, checked me over, gave me a diagnosis and sent me on my way. He had a great bedside manner. I got a cute little shoe for my sprain, and I was done in less than 45 minutes from start to finish. I'm sure the waits can be much longer than that, but I caught it at the right time. I highly recommend this clinic, and I will definitely go back again if I need their services. read more
