The staff were kind, responsive, and conscientious in quickly following through on important things like faxing orders, making appointments, etc. My provider was kind, intelligent, and appropriately hippocratic in her decisions to intervene, medicate, etc only when necessary. My entire visit was under $400 which included blood work and important referrals. For someone paying out of pocket this is a very good value in my opinion. When my cough was getting increasingly disgusting over the course of a week, I did a virtual appointment with a provider through my insurance, but felt like I needed the peace of mind of an in-person visit. ZoomCare fortunately takes my insurance (Providence), so I made an appointment for the next day. I teach communication skills to health care providers so am usually not too impressed when I have to interact with the health care system myself - but I had a great experience at ZoomCare! I was shown into an exam room as soon as I walked in, and I saw Erin, a nurse practitioner; she was empathic, warm, and collaborative. She shared her thoughts and recommendations regarding my options and asked what I wanted to do. We decided on a chest x-ray; she immediately printed out a referral form and they sent me over to Salem Radiology after a minute-long check-out process. When I got home, I was able to log on to ZoomCare to see my visit summary and notes, and there was an option to email the provider if I had any follow-up questions. So glad this place exists - hope I don't need to go again anytime soon, but it's good to know that it's there if needed. 3/20/23 update: I was back with another issue and saw a different practitioner, Joe; had yet another excellent experience (well, as excellent as a visit to urgent care can be). I didn't have child care so brought my toddler along with me, and they were 100% cool with that. I needed a prescription and was dreading rushing to a pharmacy with my daughter and trying to rush back home for work, but they had what I needed on hand, so no extra trip needed! (Note that it's not a fully-stocked pharmacy - the last time I was there they didn't have the OTC and prescription stuff I needed, but fortunately they did this time.) read more

The staff is friendly but incompetent. Dr. Erin Steiner is one of the most unethical doctors I've ever dealt with. If you are getting multiple prescriptions refilled, be sure to REVIEW THE NOTES before you leave. She will pretend that you didn't talk about them and hold them hostage to force you to have multiple office visits to get each one refilled. She is happy to let you run out of medication and compromise your health to be able to bill more office visits. read more

I do not think I can adequately express how disgusted I am with ZoomCare. To be clear from the start, my feelings have nothing to do with the location or the staff; both are wonderful. The business itself, however, embodies how corrupt and broken the American healthcare system is. If you do not have insurance, or if you haven't yet met your deductible, a visit is over $300. That is a visit without laboratory testing, imaging, or procedures. If any of that is needed, you will be charged more. Here's the catch -- the pricing isn't standard for an urgent care center at all. SwiftCare, just a few miles away, charges half of that for the same type of visit and is just as nice as, if not nicer than, ZoomCare. I am one of millions who believe that an overhaul of the American health care system is necessary. ZoomCare is a prime example and an excellent reminder of that. It's abhorrent to me that places meant to help people would engage in what essentially amounts to price gouging. It's repulsive, to put it lightly. read more

Brought my daughter here with a medical issue right before closing time, they took us in right away, they were so kind and patient with us and did not rush us out. The front desk medical assistant employee and doctor were really good at their jobs and made us feel welcome and heard, and they are good with kids. They have prescriptions in house. This review is about their billing practices only. The staff is okay, nothing but nice, and did what was expected of them. That being said- for 5 seconds the medical staff spends with you, you are extremely over charged, especially if you have insurance. And if you haven't met your deductible, well then you are out of luck. If you can't pay right away, (like within a few weeks) you are sent to collections to an extremely predatory debt collector. I am quite dismayed with an urgent clinic where you cannot even make an appointment without giving your credit card information to the receptionist making the appointment. I have good insurance through Providence and gave them that information. Still I could not make an appointment unless I gave this information inspite the fact that I was having an acute breathing problem with asthma. Doesn't this violate the whole do no harm mandate. In all good conscience I could never recommend this poor excuse as an alternative to real medical care. Give us your credit card before the appointment or we won't see you. I arrived early and was seen right away. The waiting room was super clean, the receptionist really nice. My visit was quick and personable. I loved getting to set a time to be seen via the website instead of going and waiting for my turn with a room full of contagious others. I felt totally listened to, and received a full set of care instructions that were really wonderfully detailed. The dr. Had no problem answering all of my questions & concerns. Normally I would give Zoom+Care a 5 star rating. They're great for seeing a doctor for colds, flu, etc. when getting into your PCP is difficult if you need extended hours. I appreciate the fact that they are very strict about being on time for your appointment and keep the visits within the 15 minute appointment window. I have recommended them to several coworkers and friends as an alternative to urgent care (which I have had to fight on the insurance end because it gets billed as an ER visit - Zoom+Care is always billed like a regular doctor's visit with my normal copay). Today's visit was very disappointing. I scheduled an appointment for my lunch hour. A 10 minute-ish drive to be 5 minutes early plus a 15 minute appointment and a 10 minute drive back was perfect. Traffic was lighter than expected so I was 10 minutes early for my 12:45 appointment. At 12:55 I finally told the receptionist I had to go back to work. I did not reschedule and am choosing instead to see my regular doctor on another day. I will go back to Zoom+Care because I have had excellent experiences in the past. However, I feel like I should have been told up front that they were running behind and given the chance to reschedule my appointment. They state, very clearly, when you book your appointment that if you are more than 5 minutes late or do not reschedule more than an hour in advance you will be charged $99 for your missed visit; they should provide notice to their patients if they are running more than 5 minutes behind schedule. That courtesy would have been greatly appreciated. I would have contacted them directly to complain, but did not feel like a call to the clinic would have been taken seriously and there was no corporate contact on their website. read more

I was informed they took our insurance, they were indeed open. Ten minutes later..... Took my family member across town to Zoom. Rudely told as we walked in that it was to late to see us and they were not taking any new patients. So just a heads up do not waste your time with Zoom Care Medical. Huge waste of time. read more

Update: Today was the second time I have come in. My PCP was booked and suggested I go to urgent care. I went in for suspected sinus infection. I booked my appointment online and was seen on time by a professional and friendly PA. I was in & out in 15 minutes and left with a RX in hand. My insurance was accepted and there is no need to follow up with my PCP unless my symptoms don't go away. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed of my visit and the quality of care. With insurance my total bill was less than $60 and that included my visit with a NP, my lab test, and my RX. Signing up online was easy and I was able to pick an appointment time and when I got there I was seen right away. The facility is clean and they keep common medications on hand so you leave with your needed medication. If I'm ever in a bind or can't get in to my PCP I will definitely go back. read more

On 10/18 I tried to make an appointment online and could not, as my password was not recognized. I tried over and over for over an hour to reset it with no luck. I finallly found a Help option on their website and contacted someone. I was told to call a number that left me on hold for 10 minutes and then disconnected me. I tried again and had the same issue. I finally went back to their help option online and got someone to call me. We got the problem fixed, but this wasn't the worst thing that happened. I finally got an appointment and went in on 10/18 for a bad cold and was told I had a sinus infection. I was given medication (augmentin) for it and was charged $50.00. Note: They will hit your insurance for about $300.00 also! Within 2 days I began suffering horrible nausea along with stomach pain and the worst acid reflux of my life. I stopped taking the medicine and called them this morning and was told to use the online chat with a doctor. I'm not able to do so, and and explained that. They then said that I should come in to the clinic (and be charged full price again). ENOUGH! I'm trying to get better, not go somewhere where they make you more sick. I was in a lot of pain with a swollen, red finger joint. I thought about going to the Urgent Care I usually go to and I was checking online to make sure they were still Preferred Providers. Yes, that dingy, old place is still a PP. I also noted that ZoomCare was now listed as a PP Urgent Care. It is very close to my home. I went online and LOVED the full range of appointments available to schedule that same day. I booked online and headed in to find a spotless facility, and a friendly, efficient receptionist. The doctor saw me within 5 minutes. Joseph Wills was thorough and genuine in showing concern. He was very informative and knowledgeable, while being timely. I left with the antibiotics in hand and forms for x-rays. I also was able to schedule the follow-up appointment. I will absolutely return to this clinic and recommend them to family and friends. read more

He is knowledgeable and thorough and genuine. When needed, I've obtained prescription medication at the office. We had a friend staying with us from Spain and they got her right in when she was sick. So the website advertises "We also offer on-site prescription medications*, lab tests, vaccinations, and injections at every clinic." We went to get some lab tests for my daughter. Only to be told, "we have to do the full work up..., blah blah, blah..." so in oder to get a simple blood test that our dermatologist needs, zoom care requires a 1.5 hour office visit. Even though we have all the tests the dermatologist needs. Zoom could have made money on us today, but choose to put road blocks up instead. WTF?.... read more

My experiences so far with this place have been excellent. I've never had to wait more than ten minutes past my appointment time, which is a welcome change from the hour-long waits I've previously endured. My doc here has always been compassionate, kind, and thorough. When I came in for an ongoing cough, she quickly diagnosed me with walking pneumonia and sent me away half an hour later with prescriptions for daytime cough meds, codeine, and pneumonia meds. She even gave me a prescription for a chest x-ray to make sure I wasn't sicker. When I have previously asked my doc here for herbal or more natural kinds of medication, she has also prescribed me specific herbs and vitamins. The doc I see at Zoomcare in Salem provides excellent homeopathic as well as Western treatment, all with a friendly and optimistic attitude. Update: Definitely go see the female doctor here, especially if you are a woman yourself. She is patient, calm, and respectful. I'm not at all convinced the male doctor has any clue what he's talking about. He also really doesn't seem to know very much at all about women's health. I'd give this guy like a two. He basically seemed incredibly uncomfortable discussing female physiology and quickly fobbed me off onto a gyno, like, thanks for making me sit here for forty-five minutes while you basically did absolutely nothing and then sent me to someone else. I mean, he had to disappear to go chat with his supervisor--and he was the only doctor in the place! What IS that? How unprofessional can you get? read more

Traveling outside of my home state, I was quite literally in a pinch when I awoke one morning with a pinched nerve in my neck. In excruciating pain and unsure where to find care on such short notice, I was very pleased when I saw the rave reviews about this facility. With a convenient app to schedule an appointment and a customer service line that answered within minutes, I was reassured that not only was my insurance accepted but that I could be seen same day, with no wait. The facility was very clean and I was seen by the physician in less than five minutes of checking in. Dr. Young was incredibly personable and very empathetic towards my situation. Although she was unable to process imaging within the location, she provided some great insight on what to do and how to manage my symptoms prior to traveling back home. I will definitely be recommending this location to my family and friends who live in the area. I hope someday that Zoom+Care will be available in Arizona soon. read more

What a great experience...well as great of an experience you can have when you aren't feeling well. Heard about ZoomCare on the radio the other day. After seeing my normal dr the beginning of last week and feeling like the meds weren't helping by Saturday, I made an appt with ZoomCare for Sunday morning. Was able to schedule online and had new prescriptions by 10 am. They have insured & self-pay options. Self-pay prices seem reasonable. Friendly staff. Open 7 days a week! Took my husband to ZoomCare today. They ask that you arrive 5 minutes early to check in. We waited 45 minutes to be called back. It wasn't until we had waited 20 minutes past our appointment time that the receptionist let us know that they were running behind.. ya think!? I went in after feeling sick for over six weeks. Turns out I had Pneumonia. Its easy to make an appointment online and not have to make a phone call and deal with getting put on-hold while a schedule is searched to see if you can be fit in on the same day. My only issue is that their website says x-rays and prescriptions on-site, but this isn't true, at least for the Salem location. I had to go to another medical office for the x-ray and prescriptions were written and I had to drop them off, just as I normally would with any other doctor. All in all, I would return should I need to be seen same day. read more

Super impressed. We were visiting family and our baby started tugging at his ears and being super fussy. I knew right away it was an ear infection...woke up in the AM and googled "urgent care in Salem" and this place popped up. Went online to my insurance and confirmed they were in network - I then went to the website, booked an appt for an hour later - went right in, saw the dr and got antibiotics in 15 minutes. This company is horrible to deal with. They over charged me on my co-pay and keep telling me that they will refund it but it has been months since I received services from them and nothing. My insurance paid the claim promptly but Zoomcare is NOT prompt in returning the money they owe. I refuse to ever use their services again. Funny how they do not list a actual phone number for contacting billing... You have to deal with e-mails or computer chatting only. Wonder how many other people have been through this. read more
