I looked at their website, none one answers their phone, it list 100 tests, I just need blood drawn for a test , the va sent me to the salem hospital, but before they will do some work a doctor sent me for a lab draw. I just wanted to ask the about a blood draw for that, and if there is walk in. of course the phone refuses to let you talk to a real person! the VA is sending me to the doctor who is sending me for the blood draw. I want to make sure the billing is correct, but of course they refuse to answer phones! Sick of driving al over oregon sick when I just want to talk to a real person. and to top it off the website is asking what species i am and list all the freaks and fetishes for sex! Brought in lab orders from the clinic and the worker refused to draw blood because the address was not on the paperwork. Ended up doing self-orders from an online site and went back the next day. Same lab worker, very pleasant, draw was quick and labs processed quickly. read more

You schedule an appointment and give your insurance info online. You show up for appointment and have to provide your ID and Insurance at a kiosk. Then you wait in the waiting room for 30 + minutes while you overhear what sounds like a meeting taken place. Then you get your bill and see they charge much more than other labs. ​ read more

Over a week after lab work done, no results provided. I was supposed to have them in 48-72 hours. First message to customer service received no replay after 72 hours. Online chat took 25 minutes, did not resolve anything, then gave me a phone number to call. The customer service agent on the phone was great. Got my information and emailed me what I needed very quickly. Currently my feeling is that I am unlikely to use Quest in the future. The level of disorganization I experienced is not OK when it comes to a matter of ones health. The tech at the lab location was good. Quest is relying a bit too much on automated processes, and if there is a snag nothing gets done. read more

Awful at communication and give you wrong Information about locations! Would not recommend

My wife had blood work done there . Medicare did not cover cost . Quest charged over $1400 dollars for blood work done that every Doctor we talked to said this should of not cost much more then $350. Kind of tough on retired people living on a fixed income and taking advantage of no coverage from our insurance. pretty sad. read more

Had my timed blood test done here over a week ago. My doctor hasn't received results and they can't find my record in their portal, yet they've already submitted the claim to my insurance. Impossible to reach anyone by phone. Now the timing of my medication level testing is thrown completely off and my doctor needs to know the levels before refilling my prescription. Miserable communication. No way to talk with a person or find out if the office is open. Drove 2 hrs round trip twice to find "delayed opening due to inclement weather" sign on door. Amazing that the folks working at Safeway can make it to work no problem yet the lab can't be bothered to update the phone message or website accordingly, let alone post what the delay means in real time on the sign taped to the door. read more

Horrible experience with the Safeway South Salem Quest Lab. I seldom write reviews, but this was so heart crushing I have to write one. Two days after receiving a very devastating diagnosis I went in to Quest to have my bloodwork done, to track the disease progression. The Lab tech, wish I had her name, told me my dr was 'working the system, because only someone dying would need all these tests'. I let that slide and said I was in fact dealing with something quite serious. Her response was, 'oh, I am sure you are' followed by, 'well, it could be worse'. I suppose dead would be worse, doubt I would need blood work at that point. In the end she could only do half the tests because the second set needed to be sent to Mayo Clinic. Fine, I do understand that, but the horrid attitude following a rough diagnosis was rather hard to deal with. I easily got the remaining tests completed after my Neurology appt at Providence, the professional attitude of the phlebotomist was very welcomed. I doubt I will go back to the South Salem Quest Lab. This was my second experience with this particular person, the first one not as bad but the same cold comments and indifference. read more

I had a fabulous experience today. I was seen on time by Victoria. She was super efficient, and I'd made the appointment online, which was on time. She reviewed my information, and we got started and I was out in 10 minutes. I have super finicky veins, but she checked both arms, poked me once, and surprisingly, 8 vials later (yes, 8), I was good to go. For the person who complained in the other review about not liking a grocery store location -- maybe they haven't considered that 1000's of people walk in there with flu symptoms and pick up OTC medications, there are animals that were slaughtered and brought in to be packaged into food, there are vegetables and fruits brought in from all over the world and grown outside where conditions are dirty. Those 1000's of people may not have washed their hands while touching said packages of food and produce. I will definitely go back again. The Starbucks inside the store was a real treat because I had been fasting and was ready for my coffee. Super great experience and I highly recommend it if you need to do lab work :-) read more

I recommend go somewhere else. The Quest Diagnostics lab was hired to count my platelets in October. The doctor ordered hand count only. The lab counted by machine and came up with an incredibly low count of 29k. When told to recount, the lab did not get a fresh sample from me but came up with a count of 100k. I have contacted the lab numerous times to have them tell me how they arrived at each count. Quest has refused me. Clearly the lab screwed up and does not wish to discuss their errors. I have asked to be refunded the price of the counts as Quest did not follow doctor orders of a manual count. Since these counts, I talked with my hematologist. She informed my platelet count was 45k in January and 43k in November. She told me the Quest counts of 29k and 100k both in October are clearly wrong. Clearly Quest is incompetent. Granted few people have my blood problem. However, I would think Quest should be willing to admit their errors and refund all charges. Instead, Quest Diagnostics treats me as if I do not exist. I really thought Quest couldn't sink any lower. How wrong I was. I went to the "new" location, (that was established in Yelp after I submitted the info). There is sheet of paper posted on the door, advising that Quest in Salem is now down to 2 ( from 5) locations. No hours or phone number were provided. Both locations are inside Safeway grocery stores. The one on South Commercial and I believe the other is in Keizer. I am disturbed at the thought of a laboratory inside a Grocery store. I find that quite frankly, disgusting. Like I want to shop in a store where people are carting urine, stool, and other biological samples through it to the lab. But that's where my lab orders had been sent. After driving to the closest new location, I arrived just in time to have the door shut in my face, as the staff went to lunch. I never returned. The hours have gone from having multiple labs open straight from 0730-1700, plus having 1 location open Saturdays until 3, to being open Mon-Fri only. I don't recall what time they open now, but they close for lunch for an hour, and close at 1630. I decided to try the Salem Hospital lab on State st. and found two former coworkers, one who has been a Phlebotomist for over 15 years. I fully recommend both of them for anyone!!!
