"WARNING" As you can see from all the other reviews, Salbo Construction's system is always the same: they start the work and then never finish it, constantly asking for more money. In our case, they were unable to obtain the permits and every time an inspector came, the work always required corrections, and they never managed to secure the final approvals. Naturally, we turned to a lawyer, who discovered that they inflate invoices and don't fully pay subcontractors, while still demanding full payment from us. The most outrageous thing is that they asked us to pay for the kitchen cabinets, which we did, but the cabinets were NEVER ordered! This company worked for us with the sole intention of starting our project and NEVER completing it. With excuses about permits and other shady reasons, they think they can drag things on indefinitely. But this will no longer be the case, because we are ready to take full legal action. For those who, like us, have had the misfortune of dealing with Salbo Construction, I urge you to contact us and join our effort to put an end to this disgraceful practice carried out by Salbo Construction Inc. Furthermore, for those who, like us, came across Salbo Construction Inc. through the pool company Latham, be warned: despite our repeated reports, they continue to promote Salbo Construction Inc. as an installer, washing their hands by claiming to have no relationship with them, and yet they still recommend them as a pool installer on their behalf even today! Overpromised and underdelivered. Lied about starting and completion dates, took a year to get permits instead of couple of months promised. Left the backyard messed up after long overdue completion. Promised to get permits within a couple of months signing the contract, that never happened and often wouldn't respond to our calls/messages. We were supposed to rent the house short term but needed the pool for it so went with Salbo construction as completion, after few months of no responses we had to rent the house long term instead which caused at least $50k in lost income. After start of the work completion also took MUCH longer than planned with constant delays. After completion there were few problems which Danny said will be taken care of, we agreed we will pay the balance but leave a few thousand which will be covered after they fix things. They did fix a couple of things, regarding the messed up backyard Danny said that for constructions its "normal" to mess up your backyard and they don't have to return it to the same condition it was before they started the project but he will see what he can do about it and get back to us. Instead I just got an email from Rachel from their office they filed a lien on the property. Will be talking to them through attorney now. Stay away unless you are ok with a project that will never be done on time and an office which think they can overpromise, under delivery, plainly lie to customer and then try to bully you. read more

I had the pleasure of working with this company for the construction of my driveway. The owner of the company arrived personally to my home to take the measurements and review the materials. He listened to all of my ideas and my hesitations and took the time to explain to me each step that would need to be taken in order for the process to be completed. Out of all of the other contractors who came to assess the property he was the one I chose for that reason, I knew I would have someone to listen to what I wanted and ensure I would get the result that I desired. dont give them your money predatory contract - do not sign it! they haven't done any work on my property and still don't want to refund my $5000 deposit. here is a copy of their unfair - predatory cancelation policy. the cancelation of the contract by the owner/costumer, regardless of the reason, will result in liquidated damages to the contractor of 30% of the incurred expenses (labor, sub and material) about this contract, plus 30% of the remaining value of the work that has not been done but approved by the costumer, plus the deposit amount. read more

Please be very aware of this Contractor!! I signed a contract and paid $5000 deposit for work to be done at my house, after a year of no performance, I had to hire an attorney. If i could give them less then one star I would. Their communication is the worst, I have dealt with hundreds of contractors thought my life and Salbo is by far the worst. read more
