I spoke to George who was very professional and listened to exactly what I wanted and needed. He inspected the roof and gave me an estimate. I happily signed on the dotted line and gave him the deposit. They came out as soon as the permit was approved and started right away. The workers were very nice to us and knew exactly what they were doing. Unfortunately they found a lot of damage on my roof that I was unaware of which drove the cost up. I had to replace a lot of the decking on one side of my home. This home is located in south dade and survived Andrew. The roof had not been done since then and that is why we did not see the damage. I also asked him to replace my roof with the toung and groove instead of plywood so that my roof stays uniform. The county came to inspect and even said that they knew exactly what they were doing. Needles to say, all was done to perfection, roof looks great and I even convinced the owner of my office building to use them for the commercial roof of over 120 squares!

I had originally contacted four different contractors for my project and had one week to decide who and what to do before I head back to SF. Out of the four, 2 could not properly communicate in English and the third one was trying to sell me things I didn't even need. Nick called the day before to confirm our appointment and showed up on time which is very important to me. He listened to what I wanted and then suggested some ideas that I didn't even think of. Then he explained the permitting process which seems to be a big deal in Florida and what we needed to obtain permits. He even gave me the name and address of a local supply house where I could get my cabinets, countertops, tiles, and fixtures. He provided me with a proposal within 48 hrs (just like he said) and his prices were in line with the others. Needless to say, I choose his company and headed back home. On the day of the deliveries, the delivery companies would not deliver the material upstairs to my condo unit, so his guys stopped their work and delivered the stuff upstairs.(he didn't even charge me for it!). He kept me updated on the progress of the project and sent me weekly pictures. There were a few issues that came up after the demolition but he explained them in detail, gave me an estimate on the additional costs, and asked if it was ok to proceed. When he was finished, I was ecstatic as I could not believe how nice the kitchen and bathrooms had turned out. This guy exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is thinking of doing a remodeling project.

Their work is outstanding, their taste exquisite and the job was completed on time and on budget. I have had a lot of experience with contractors since I flipped several houses in LA in the early 2000's and I can wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone considering any type of work on their property at all. They were dedicated to my happy outcome, gave me zero stress and made sure, and continue to make sure, that I have no problems. I am grateful that I found an honest and reliable company that does everything in their considerable power to make sure that their customers are satisfied, delighted and chilled out.

Fair enough, we'll take our business elsewhere and suggest others who value humility in business transactions, do so as well.

The City of Miami made our project a very very challenging one with trying to obtain approvals and get started. Throughout the project, the Salbo team managed the permitting process, city approvals, and coordination of the work while keeping the project aligned with our budget. We also expanded the scope to include the pool enclosure/screening and paving around the pool, and they handled everything professionally from beginning to end. We are extremely happy with the final result and with the quality of their work and service. In our case, they were unable to obtain the permits and every time an inspector came, the work always required corrections, and they never managed to secure the final approvals. Naturally, we turned to a lawyer, who discovered that they inflate invoices and don't fully pay subcontractors, while still demanding full payment from us. The most outrageous thing is that they asked us to pay for the kitchen cabinets, which we did, but the cabinets were NEVER ordered! This company worked for us with the sole intention of starting our project and NEVER completing it. With excuses about permits and other shady reasons, they think they can drag things on indefinitely. But this will no longer be the case, because we are ready to take full legal action. For those who, like us, have had the misfortune of dealing with Salbo Construction, I urge you to contact us and join our effort to put an end to this disgraceful practice carried out by Salbo Construction Inc. If you agree, write to me at my email address and I will contact you immediately so that we can join forces: info@enricocortesano.com. We have also filed a complaint against Salbo Construction with the DBPR (Department of Business and Professional Regulation) so that their license will be suspended. We will also file a police report. Furthermore, for those who, like us, came across Salbo Construction Inc. through the pool company Latham, be warned: despite our repeated reports, they continue to promote Salbo Construction Inc. as an installer, washing their hands by claiming to have no relationship with them, and yet they still recommend them as a pool installer on their behalf even today! Needless to say, they weren't even able to get an inspector's visit to test the water pressure in the pipes or to obtain the permit.

Permits for my project appeared to be filed through another company, M & Z Construction. My project experienced significant delays, change-order/upcharge disputes, inspection and engineering/blueprint issues, and several promised items that were never completed. Some work I ultimately completed myself to move the project forward. During disputes over these issues, the possibility of a construction lien was also raised. When I later sold the property, the closing attorney flagged concerns regarding the contractor/licensing structure and held part of the sale proceeds temporarily while the matter was reviewed. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to independently verify licensing, permitting, contracts, and who is actually responsible for the work / injuries / defects before making payments or signing agreements. Nick, the owner of Megapolis Construction is apparently a married man. To the licensed contractor of the Florida license he used for permits for my project. They are invested together financially but with the current structure, it seems they are able to possibly avoid any direct liability operating between 2 companies.
