From our…read morevery first meeting through to final completion, the entire project took approximately 18 months. Our experience was very positive. Throughout the project, the Salbo team managed the permitting process, city approvals, and coordination of the work while keeping the project aligned with our budget. We also expanded the scope to include the pool enclosure/screening and paving around the pool, and they handled everything professionally from beginning to end. We are extremely happy with the final result and with the quality of their work and service. We would confidently recommend Salbo Construction Inc. to anyone considering a similar project, and we would definitely work with them again for any future construction or home extension projects.

"WARNING" As you can see from all the other reviews, Salbo Construction's system is always the…read moresame: they start the work and then never finish it, constantly asking for more money. In our case, they were unable to obtain the permits and every time an inspector came, the work always required corrections, and they never managed to secure the final approvals. Naturally, we turned to a lawyer, who discovered that they inflate invoices and don't fully pay subcontractors, while still demanding full payment from us. The most outrageous thing is that they asked us to pay for the kitchen cabinets, which we did, but the cabinets were NEVER ordered! This company worked for us with the sole intention of starting our project and NEVER completing it. With excuses about permits and other shady reasons, they think they can drag things on indefinitely. But this will no longer be the case, because we are ready to take full legal action. For those who, like us, have had the misfortune of dealing with Salbo Construction, I urge you to contact us and join our effort to put an end to this disgraceful practice carried out by Salbo Construction Inc. If you agree, write to me at my email address and I will contact you immediately so that we can join forces: info@enricocortesano.com. We have also filed a complaint against Salbo Construction with the DBPR (Department of Business and Professional Regulation) so that their license will be suspended. We will also file a police report. Furthermore, for those who, like us, came across Salbo Construction Inc. through the pool company Latham, be warned: despite our repeated reports, they continue to promote Salbo Construction Inc. as an installer, washing their hands by claiming to have no relationship with them, and yet they still recommend them as a pool installer on their behalf even today! Needless to say, they weren't even able to get an inspector's visit to test the water pressure in the pipes or to obtain the permit.

Like any renovation, there were a few hiccups, but what set them apart was how professionally they handled them. Gil was great to work with, always in touch with us, and helped us choose the fixtures, vanity, and tile to make sure everything worked well together in our space. Looking for a Company to Reface Our Kitchen Cabinets along with Our Backroom Cabinets I came across a Yelp Friend that Promotes Factory Direct. After getting In-Contact with Daniel at Factory Direct he Scheduled Us an Appointment with Bruce the Interior Designer. Bruce came over with All Color Options, Designs, and Insight. We Fell In-Love with Everything he pitched (A Great Salesman). We pulled the Trigger with an Estimate to have the Cabinets Refaced in 2 Days, No Longer than a Week. All Cabinets were Measured and we were Introduced to Maurice the Contractor and Jason the Project Manager. They Submitted Our Order after Measuring and some Provisions to Our Kitchen such as taking out the Wine Cabinet, Placing Cabinet Doors on Our Microwave Opening, and More. We were Excited and Very Confident that this was going to be a Smooth Transaction. Once the Cabinets came in from the Manufacture, Instillation was Scheduled and Maurice began his work. Two Days turned into Two Weeks then in-turn was not Complete for Over SIX Months... With Over a Dozen Re-Orders and Send-Backs of the Cabinet Doors they still Returned to Us with Blemishes, Scratches, and Unpleasing Finished Work. On top of this Headache, Maurice was Unprofessional, Careless, Sloppy, and Disorganized which in turn falls to the Project Manger Not doing his Job or caring about the Customer. They left us with Damage to Surrounding Areas without Any Fix. We had Countless Conversations with Jason along with Bruce of which neither could find a Suitable Solution. We lived this long with Everything Out of Our Cabinets being All Over Our House. Each time Maurice came to "Fix" or Exchange the Doors a Huge Mess was left being a Huge Frustration to Us. Due to Signing a Contract with Factory Direct we were Stuck with this Vexation Day in and Day Out. Communication was Extremely Poor with Show-Up's Not Scheduled, Us Being Left in the Dark, and Pure Distrust. I would Never Recommend Factory Direct Renovations Group for Any Kind of Home Project or as a Company. This is as we are still awaiting a Piece that they Promised us..

The balconies were waterproofed but not leveled as requested by the Board of Directors, and when it rains, large puddles of water accumulate throughout the whole balcony floor. When the board of directors brought this to the attention of JMK Construction, they said leveling the floor of the balconies was not included in the over $16,000 paid. New railings did not have proper screw holes made for cone head shaped screws. Half of railings boots do not fit. In December 2024, the railings failed inspection. At the end of March 2025 the Board informed Lanyon Heinemann, the responsible party at JMK Construction that if by May 1st the issues with the railings were not resolved, complaints would be filed against the licenses of JMK Construction and Construction Integrated Services, and that the board of directors would seek legal action against JMK Construction, who holds the signed contract with the board of directors. As of May 8th, 2025, well over a month after, the railings situation has not been resolved. The board contacted the City of Miami building department on 5/5/25 and was informed that the pending revisions have been approved since 4/17/25 and that a payment is due from the contractor and that the City of Miami building department notified the contractor via e-mail. More days have passed, and no one from JMK construction has checked on this issue, after so many complaints about the extreme delay of this job. The owners and board of directors of The Blue Condominium Association feel defrauded, abused, and ignored mainly by JMK Construction who holds the signed contract with the building for all the repairs, and also by Construction Integrated Services, a company with horrible reputation, who has repeatedly lied to and ignored messages from the board of directors.
