Food is good, service was great and it's located inside the gas station making it rather convenient! The environment was clean and neat!

The Sunken chips are like nachos with less cheese, lotsa beef and beans, made with crispy homemade kettle chips, so much more satisfying than corn chips, and hard to finish! More props for their recognizing the wings were on the small side today, and compensating by tossing in a few extra. Classy. Good crispness, good tenderness and juiciness, which is even more impressive on a smaller wing. Strong flavors, with the Hot Mess Buffalo having enough heat to command your attention but without being a challenge. Mango Habanero mixed heat with sweet. -- Fish Sandwich: Giant piece of fish, curling out and up, crisp outside, moist inside. Aside from the coleslaw, my wife was very happy with it-- which is rare. Shoestring fries were a typical frozen version, but well executed. Service was great, even though (and actually because) it was not flashy. Syd anticipated our every need without resorting to the typical cliches. She slid in and out to refill water, take plates, bring napkins, and ask about beer refills with understated grace and efficiency.

We loved this place so much that we stopped back a second time for carryout on our drive back to…read moreBoston! We first wandered in on a cold, rainy afternoon and were immediately charmed by the cozy atmosphere. The service was warm and welcoming, and everywhere we looked, steaming plates of comfort food were making their way to happy diners. The cod Reuben with sweet potato fries was outstanding, and the clam chowder was exceptional. In fact, after trying chowder at six different places during our trip, my husband and I both agreed this was our favorite by far. The shepherd's pie looked incredible as it passed our table, but we'll have to save that for next time. The only real downside is the limited parking, but it's a small trade-off for such a wonderful spot. If you're in the area, don't miss this hidden gem!

We chose this restaurant largely because of its 4.5-star rating, even passing up a few waterfront…read morerestaurants with beautiful views but slightly lower ratings. Unfortunately, we left pretty confused about where the 4.5 stars are coming from. We were seated quickly, and the staff was genuinely very nice and welcoming. We had a booth, although it was oddly high and uncomfortable for me at 5'3" because my feet could barely reach the ledge. Service was pleasant, but after we ordered, no one really checked in on us. Our table tried quite a bit: the Reuben, classic New England cod, another cod and clam dish, clam chowder, and a pretzel. The clam chowder was probably the highlight. It had good flavor, although I would have loved more actual clams. The wine was mediocre. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was about a 5/10 for us. Nothing was terrible, but most of it was surprisingly bland and just not memorable. My cod and clam dish was especially disappointing. It came with four very large clams, but one was completely closed and should never have made it onto the plate. The cod, potatoes, and other ingredients were sitting in a pool of cream sauce, yet somehow the dish still tasted underseasoned. It felt more like something I could have steamed and put together myself at home for a simple, healthy weeknight dinner rather than something I'd be excited to order at a restaurant. Maybe we caught the kitchen on an off day, because the consistently high ratings made us expect much more. We specifically chose this place based on those reviews instead of going somewhere with a view and slightly lower ratings. In the end, we got neither the view nor particularly good food, which was disappointing. The kind staff and clam chowder were the bright spots, but based on our meal, I personally wouldn't rate the overall experience anywhere near 4.5 stars.

I forgot my server's name but she was the sweetest lady ever and knew the menu like the back of her hand. she suggested shareable platters to my coworker and I and we're so glad we listened. Everything was sooo freaking TASTY! now i understand how the restaurant got it's name! After each bite from a dish we literally closed our eyes to savor taste. You just have to try it! We got the cornbread, and omg!!!! Don't get me started on the duck wontons... i told her the chef needed a kiss on the cheek! lol Our entree was the star of the show and we both got the Beef cheek. The beef was fall apart tender and the flavors meshed sooo well together along with the cornbread. I think about this place often, would definitely fly back to Plymouth just to try the whole menu!

Bartender handled the whole joint on a Saturday lunch. -- Patty Melt: Nice straddling between traditional and innovative. Brisket patty, neither thick nor thin, with a soft grind, cooked showing pink (I asked for medium rare if possible). Bacon-onion-jalapeño jam with some zip and bacon saltiness and bendy texture. Caramelized onions with a hint of sweetness. Partly-melted American cheese. Griddled marble rye with unnoticeable butter. Not perfection, but an enjoyable mix of flavors and textures. -- Fries (with the patty melt): Thin, crunchy shoestrings, aggressively salted, in assorted lengths. -- Quinoa Bowl: Bright flavors, good textures, per my wife. -- Ginger Soda: Made in house, string Ginger flavors, not too much sugar. Very good, though at $7, it's gotta be something you're certain you want. Solid experience. Hard to get a full picture without trying more things, but good enough to try more. And many good options for vegetarian dishes and mocktails.

Huge credit to the chef at Waterfire for making them the right way (cold with mayo!) I hate when you go to a classic New England spot and they give you warm lobster rolls!!! We also wanted to try the coconut shrimp but they ended up running out of the larger shrimp and, to their credit, told us they didn't think they would be as good with the smaller shrimp (ok, another order of lobster sliders!). They had Canyon Road wines by the glass. We've always found that to be an excellent house wine. Either someone knows what they're doing or got lucky! I get the feeling they know what they're doing here. Because we were at the bar we had a chance to speak with others who were similarly enjoying the experience. I think that if you're a guest of the Inn you'll enjoy winding down at Waterfire before you settle into your room. We enjoyed it so much that we vowed to return here the next time we visit Plymouth. This is a solid, well-run tavern that did everything right!
