I attached a few photos from our dinner last night because the presentation and portion sizes deserve to be seen! The first dish is the Spicy Asian Beef & Broccoli, which was bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly. The second and third photos are of the Cape Cod Reuben--seriously, just look at the size of that piece of fish! It was massive, flaky, perfectly cooked, and incredibly delicious. The fourth photo is the Native Honey Scallops, made with large sea scallops--not the tiny bay scallops--and they were tender, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Every dish we tried exceeded our expectations, and it's easy to see why this has become one of our favorite places to eat. The staff is another reason we'll keep coming back. The servers are always friendly, attentive, and accommodating, making sure everyone at the table has what they need without ever feeling rushed. If you're looking for consistently great food, huge portions, excellent service, and a menu with endless options, Gateway Tavern is well worth the visit. The owner Bob was casually sitting at the bar, just hanging out. Joanne was our waitress and she was so darn nice and made us feel right at home. The place is really big, but from outside it looks small. I loved what Bob said when we asked if he was the owner, he said the place owned him. This is such a true statement. The place had a big clientele who you knew they had been there often because they welcomed them and knew their names. The lunch was so good! This is the first year I didn't get to eat Corn beef. First, what they call a 13 inch sub is actually a 10 inch sub because the 1 1/2 inch on each end was nothing but bread (no filling).
