amazing food! and great services, the waiters are so sweet and very fast! this will be my new favorite!

They have curbside pickup which is great because not many places that i like are open during quarantine sadly but they are they also have great staff they're always so nice to me ( i'm a frequent customer lol) Hibachi Chicken is great and so are the California Rolls i'm planning on trying one of their bento boxes they have so much variety it's great read more

I am editing my initial review of Sakura. I have been back a few times in recent weeks, and service has improved greatly. It seems the growing pains they were experiencing have been handled, and the speed of service and quality of the staff is so much better! The food has always been good, but they were lacking the service for a while. It has been great lately, and I hope they keep it up. Highly recommended!! read more

This is one of me and my family's favorite places! We've been to the expensive Fuji in Fort Smith and Sakura tastes way better with a fraction of the price! We always get the spicy tuna rolls and different meats at the hibachi tables. Going there tonight and bringing my appetite!! read more

Nice, affordable sushi place. Those eel & avocado rolls are delicious and the Boston rolls are good enough to make one cry. I also recommend the avocado ball salad. A great place to go with friends so you can feel like a cool person. Food pics from Sakura are guaranteed to boost your Instagram feed. Will go back! read more

We really enjoyed our dinner here! I had the filet mignon hibachi which was excellent, my husband had the bagel roll and a sushi roll that was crisped with a torch all were superb. Our guest had chicken, shrimp hibachi and it was good. Try the chicken kabob appetizer bc it's the really tasty. Egg rolls were okay. Service was good, definitely going back! read more

I ordered the 10 piece sushi with tuna roll for $17 which is definitely a deal. The Sushi was very fresh and tasty all around. The server was very nice and attentive. I would have gave 5 stars, but I had to get up to ask for my drink after I ordered it upon first sitting down. No big deal though. Being from the Houston area, prices are spectacular here. read more

The server was impulsive and impatient, the salad that came before the meal (the dressing in particular) was watered down mayonnaise, the soup smelled like boiled hotdog water, the entree was a little over cooked but, edible ... first time at this location and sorry to say, it will be my last. read more

Went for the sushi and got the sushi. It was amazing as usual.... However they took my plate before I could finish my leftover masterpiece :( Scallops and filet mignon hibachi lunch is awesome. Don't get the Boston Roll unless you really really love lettuce. Shrimp Tempura roll is awesome but watch out for the tails sticking out. They hurt the mouth... read more

The sushi was fresh and good, service was quick. The only negative I can think of is that it smelled of fried food way to much- still not bad read more

In town on business. I went here to eat. If you are by yourself they require you buy to meals to sit at the table. A family had just came in and actually had a seat available at their table but was advised I would still have to buy two meals. This is ridiculous. Guess they don't want the business travelers. read more

Gave it another shot- several months later. Service still lacking but the food was good. Bento was a great deal.

Every time I go there the waitresses that are oriental seem like it's a burden that she's waiting on us. Very rude & I was always going to the bar to get my own refills! Absolutely unacceptable... the cooks are wonderful though that's why I'm giving 2 stars. The cooks are so funny! read more

Horrible service, never got a chance to even taste a drink! Once seated, the waitress never showed up and the other tables who sat down after us received their drinks and soup before we asked for a waitress. Of course, she comes over with no apology and asked what did we want which was water. Again she disappears for about 10 mins and we decided to leave. As we're leaving we run into her with still NO water and I tell her we decided to leave and she hunches her shoulders up like ok/whatever. I'm convinced people only eat here because it may be the only sushi bar in town. read more

Worst hibachi experience of my life. My food came out cold and then when I asked for them to warm my food it came back to me with hairs in my food. Do not recommend eating here. read more

This place used to be my favorite place to eat sushi. But lately they must have gotten a new sushi chef because everything has changed and not for the better. I'll still go here every now and then since it's the only sushi in Muskogee, but it's definitely not a favorite anymore. read more

If I could rate a 6 I would! This is, hands down, the absolute best meal ever. I had, steak, shrimp and noodles with a side of mixed veggies (broccoli, zucchini and onions). Although I didn't eat my onions, everything was wonderful. The soup and salad starters were also really good! Was absolutely worth every penny. read more

This is one of my favorite sushi places. I have a lot of allergies and they have had a lot of great options for me.

Great service!!! I love the food here. I had gotten the shrimp tempura roll. It's my favorite side there. read more

Sakura - Sushi Bars Near Me - Muskogee, Oklahoma

This was absolutely the worst service and food I have ever experienced in 50 years of traveling the world. Staff not trained owners don't speak English. Save your money, go to Mickey D's for a better experience. read more

This evening, I ordered chicken hibachi and a volcano roll. The salad was iceberg lettuce tossed in a sauce that tasted mainly of miracle whip (yuck). The soup was like any other broth soup you get at a hibachi place. Not bad, not good. The miracle whip sauce was offered for dipping which was unfortunate. The rice was over salted. The chicken was way overcooked. When chicken is overcooked, it gets a rubbery texture that I can't handle. I didn't eat any past the first bite. The vegetables were just okay. Overly saucy and salty in my opinion. The volcano roll was yummy although the presentation was lacking. The guy making our food was fun but our waitress was snippy at us for taking care of her job for her (getting chopsticks when she never offered them for our sushi and asking for a water refill that had sat empty for a long time). Overall, a below mediocre experience that will not have me coming back. read more

So, this place has NO air conditioning and is so uncomfortable that it's hard to enjoy a meal. You can tell this has been an issue for a while as they have fans and portable a/c units all over the place. Unfortunately they don't help. The food was about average and the chef was entertaining although I would assume he would ask before squirting sake from a bottle all over his guests. Doubt we'll be back. read more

Pretty good for the one and only sushi spot in town. Your ribs was bad...smelled fishy. But the rest was great. Keep trying and know when to sacrifice product for quality. read more

Food was good especially the amazing roll. Problem was it was extremely hot inside. We even asked if the air was on. My four year old son had sweat rolling down his face and the back of my neck and back were sweating. read more

Food has a lot to be desired. Service is terrible. It just doesn't match up price to product and service.

Sub-standard sushi and hibachi. The two times I have eaten hibachi and ordered a sushi appetizer, the server forgot to bring it. The veggies that came with the hibachi were not fresh and sparse. Its the only sushi restaurant in Muskogee and we probably won't see much better unless some competition moves in. Fingers crossed. :-) read more

The chef was fun to watch. I had the chicken and shrimp hibachi. One sushi roll. Overall average with no major complaints.

Three of us dined yesterday at Sakura of Muskogee. My sister and i had the Bento box and was very good with a nice sized portion. My wife has to eat gluten free because she has celiac disease. The only thing she could order was of the habichi grill. She brought her own gluten free soy sauce. My wife ordered the grilled stake and scollups with veggies. The food was tasty put the portion was very small. She had six small bites of stake and 4 scollups. This seems to be avery small portion for the menu price of $21.00. This is the reason for the 2 star rating. Will we return for another meal? Maybe. But i know my wife will seek another gluten free option. read more

Sakura's has big city prices; the food and service are excellent; the upkeep of the dining area and bathrooms make Sakura's a substandard restaurant. Very unappealing; I have been in out houses that were cleaner and better provisioned than the ladies bathroom here. The two chairs that we were directed to sit in were unsightly, with wholes in the seat cushions. Correct these conditions and Sakura's would merit the big city prices in Muskogee Oklahoma. read more

Amazing! We got 4 rolls and couldn't even pick a favorite. They were all very good! Great service too!

Nice addition to Muskogee. Sushi comes out fast and is consistently good. If their air conditioner kept the place a little cooler in the summer I would eat there more often. Lots of great food choices. Give this a try you will not be disappointed. read more

Every time I come the service is horrible. My drink will stay empty for over half the time I am eating, they come to bring food and my glass is empty at edge of table and they don't even look at it. They walk away while your trying to talk to them. read more

My wife and I really enjoyed this location, but this last year has been a terrible experience. The last two visits resulted in bad service, bad food, and a high bill. There is nothing worse than the feeling you get after spending money on garbage food. The rice tasted old (which is on every dish) and the tea and soda tasted watered down. Not going back. read more

Not the best. A little disappointed that the soup was cold and the dinner salad was unappealing and no great flavor. Octopus salad look spoiled. Tempura shrimp was good. Entire dinner not worth the $$. read more

Great atmosphere. Food was pretty good. You are paying for a show as well as dinner. They also offer regular tables if you don't want to eat at the grill. read more

Love this place! Easy in and out with to go and great prices! Or great entertainment to dine in with the family!

Used to be a good sushi restaurant, albeit the only sushi restaurant in town. The service is okay but the food quality has went considerably down. Rolls are on longer top notch and the habachi is no longer delicious...portions are stupid small now, too. And when the clear soup is the best thing you have, you've had a bad meal...for sure not worth the price. read more

My family and I went to Texas for Easter break to visit my grandparents. We were making our way back home in Iowa when we stopped by Muskogee, OK for the night. We came across this Japanese restaurant, just a five-minute drive from our hotel. The service was good with friendly employees. The food was phenomenal with good quality and a wide variety. There was especially a lot of sushi rolls. I had some shrimp fried rice with some water and an orange-flavored Japanese soda. For dessert, my sister and I had vanilla-flavored fried ice cream. I even tried crab rangoons for the first time and loved them. Meals were reasonably priced. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who passes by the vicinity during lunch or dinner hours. I'm usually a tough grader on Yelp, although I do give five-stars every now and again (I just have to decide this was a perfect experience). I do rate businesses fairly, and this is no exception. My final grade for this restaurant: 5/5 (100%). And I'm sure to be back again someday. read more

I have been to Sakura several times and have always been impressed with the food. However, the service here is the worst I have ever experienced. Waited 20 minutes before the chef even showed up to cook our food. I had to ask for the sauce which is suppose to be given to you before your entree. If you are in a hurry and looking for a quick place to eat do not go to Sakura. If you have the day free and are looking for good food this is your place. read more

Ok, so I have been going here since they opened and have had only a few issues with the staff and the language barrier, how rude they are when taking orders and dealing with an upset customer when they were in the wrong. I and my co worker only have a limited lunch time to eat. I am 8 months pregnant and had a craving for sushi. I have never complained about the rising prices or the smaller portions, or how rude they can be in general because they are the only sushi place close to me. But enough is enough, my co worker called in the complaint to the restaurant and the man she spoke with was rude, condescending and kept interrupting her. He demanded that we bring him the trash bag that we threw the bad food away in so that he could see it. So I gathered the food into a single bag and brought it up to the restaurant where the waiter refused to acknowledge me and when I sat the dirty bag on the counter he finally decided I was worth paying attention to. Then instead of speaking to me he calls one of the sushi chefs form behind the bar in their native tongue to root through the trash. When he could not see the hair in the trash he went back to the sushi bar and went back to work with out washing his hands. Then proceeded to tell me that since I did not take a picture of the hair in the soup or sushi that he was not going to refund me even though he had the soup and other sushi that he made incorrectly. So if you want things done right the first time and polite service don't eat sushi in Muskogee. You are better off spending money elsewhere. read more
