It's squash, and it's so sweet and tasty in a roll! I'm not vegetarian, but I never tire of avocado and sweet potato rolls either. Their shrimp shumai was delicious too! But at East Pearl Asian Bistro, the crispy beef is like your most fun option at a carnival. It's deliciously-sweet with a thick fried coating. It really is like eating a plate of fun and I love it. I personally witnessed the cleaner taking the server's tip money, which I found extremely concerning and unprofessional. Tips are money that customers leave for the staff who served them, and I believe they should be handled honestly and respectfully. Seeing something like this made me uncomfortable and changed my impression of the restaurant. I hope management takes this situation seriously and makes sure employees' tips are properly protected.
