No matter my need she helps me with my massages. I had a bad neck and couldn't turn my neck and she understood and worked on me well. I do prefer Anika because she has always been the one to do my massages and I have come to like her techniques. They have gift certificates and they are awesome. I have bought them for friends and family before. You can call ahead and is recommended to call ahead to make reservation for your hour or what ever time frame massage. The foot massages start off with a foot soak, hot towels and warm tea if you'd like. While sitting in a big comfy chair I forget if it's a massage chair. Been awhile since I got a foot only massage. But it is amazing. I fell asleep drooling almost because I was so relaxed. Exaggerating about the drooling . 10/10 recommend I am a frequent return costumer to this spa Check it out.

I got a reminder text three days before the appointment, which was appreciated. Trina was so sweet, personable and friendly. She did an excellent job with the massage; immediately figured out if I was uncomfortable with a certain pressure or movement and asked how she could change it. I got a great scalp massage and the knot in my shoulder straightened out. I really liked how there was no push to sell me a package or membership at the end (which happens too often at spas), Trina just gave me her business card, told me about the specials, and invited me back. The location isn't fancy-it's homespun and very clean and inviting, with plenty of candles and soothing music. I didn't go home feeling any less pampered than I would have somewhere upscale- in fact, I got a better massage than I have at those places. I'll definitely be back.

ZERO STARS: A couple…read moreof hours before my appointment I got a text from Trina which I've quoted below. "Good afternoon. I apologize for any inconvience. We need to reschedule your appt. Due to the power outages in the building yesterday the property management company are doing some emergency electrical work. What other evening this week is good for you." I immediately replied asking if I could come in tomorrow, but didn't get a response. So I called and left a voice message a few hours later. Still no response, and mind you this was still early on in the day. I eventually wound up sending her the text which I quoted below. "Hi, Since I haven't gotten a response from you these past 2 days in regards to rescheduling my appointment. After texting you, leaving voice messages and commenting on your Instagram account. I would like to be refunded my deposit. Thanks!" That got her to respond. - This deposit was labeled as an early access fee when I booked my appointment. Which I thought was strange. She claims she wasn't aware of it and had no evidence of it in her system.(even stranger) So I had to send her a screenshot of what I was talking about. She refunded me but what's annoying is that. When responding to me she simply responded saying what deposit. She didn't address the fact that I've made several attempts to reschedule my appointment and never got a response from her. Nor did she ask me about rescheduling. BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. And given the way she handled things I don't believe that there is really an issue at the building. She probably just didn't want to come in for my appointment!( And even if it were true. Why would you text me a couple of hours before my appointment. Instead of the day before when you firt knew of this issue.) I try to not let a few bad reviews detear me away from trying out an establishment. So when I saw them on the booking site and Google maps. I still decided to go ahead and book. Now here I am disappointed. NEVER AGAIN! I wouldn't come here if the appointment were going to be free! And I will be letting EVERYONE I know who's interested in the type of services she provides about my HORRIBLE experience! PS, SHE DELETED MY APPOINTMENT OFF OF THE BOOKING SITE SO I CAN'T LEAVE A REVIEW ON THERE!

My boyfriend and I visited Chung dam spa for the first time today. Admission without any treatments…read moreis $33. I decided to try a Korean body scrub which I've never experienced before which was $95 and included daily admission. After you pay at the front, men and women are separated into their own locker rooms. The locker room isn't that big and felt a little crowded at times. The women's locker room has 2 sauna rooms - one small one and one large one. The large sauna room (jade room?) was barely hot. More like warm. The other room was hot and much more sauna-like. The women's area also has a nude bathhouse area. I was instructed by one of the staff to prepare for my scrub by taking a shower and then sitting in the steam room. The scrub itself was a very interesting experience haha i liked it and felt very clean after! My skin is so soft now. The nude area is a little weird at first but you get used to it. In the bathhouse area there are showers, 3 pools (cold, warm, warmer?...none of them were hot), a dry sauna, and steam room. This isn't a good place to spend time with someone of the opposite sex. The co-ed lounge area is small and consists of a few couches and tables. There's one co-ed sauna in the lounge (salt room) but you can't lay down in there. It's a loose salt floor with benches. Overall I'd say you could easily spend a few hours here but it's not an all day thing like some other Korea day spas. If you're looking for a no frills, chill Korean day spa I'd recommend trying out this place.

I have been going to this place for over 2 years. I get messages often compared to the average…read moreperson. I do 1-2x a week depending on how stressful the week was. I also suffer from chronic migraines. After having horrible migraine attacks my muscles in my shoulders & upper back have spasmed a lot which causes them to hurt so I get deep tissue messages for 60-90min just focusing on that part so the muscles will loosen up and I will have a break from pain. Coco who works there is a horrible person. She thinks she has figured out America and what we all like or think. She used to massage me and I tip her and any others I have $10 which is good especially when I frequent often. $5 tip is also good in my opinion as well. Times are hard and you don't know how hard someone worked or what they had to do to get that money to frequent your business so you should be grateful! Instead Coco feels entitled to the $10! She will laugh, fake compliment you, all to get you to tip her that $10 min in her mind thinking you don't know what she is doing. I know I am grateful when I have a good masseuse so when they work hard and I feel a big difference in how I feel i tip them well to show my appreciation! if I was rich I would tip whatever they wanted but I am not and I try to tip well based on work done. One day I needed a $5. So i tipped $5 also because the masseuse was bad. Coco spoke in Chinese and told the woman to ask me for $10. I was baffled by her behavior and upset inside. In another occasion after that, I came in, she recognized me and called me the "bad tipper" laughing! It was so unprofessional and rude! Mind you Jimmy my favorite masseuse (male, Asian, clean cut and quiet) massaged me prior and i tipped him $15 because he worked hard and went to all the right places remembering what I need and like! She did not know of this or appreciate all the times I tipped her $10 & I didn't have to! She embarrassed me one too many times. She always wants to take you as a client when you come in but then dictate to you what you should do not knowing what your financial situation is. Mind you I had been tipping min $10 for 1hr massage always! Except for that one time. I would also take my mother and recommend others there. So when she treated me like that and had the audacity to call me a "bad tipper" it was so shameful of her character and showed how ungrateful and fake she is. You would think after being a long time customer she would be more respectful and appreciative of me coming back! Coco will also try to up-sell you without you realizing. She will suggest something, you tell her no and she acts as if she understood you but then do what you said you did not want and leave you stuck paying for something you did not want in the first place! This review was not done in haste! It took years and I had enough. I hope you took the time to read all of my review. This way you can choose to go or not but you will know what to watch out for. The manager woman (Asian, dark hair, round face 40-50yrs old) is cold and when Coco does her bs, she will not side with you but rather speak in Chinese with her and then talk down to you. I have attached a pic of the cards you get signed to reach a free massage after visits. Now I feel disgust and want to avoid having to put a snake in her place! I am not a violent or angry person either. I'm very laid back and happy. That is why she got so many chances to try and embarrass me as well as pretty much extort very high tips! When I go to get a massage, I am there because I really need it! I don't like to talk during my massage (she talks a lot if you let her). I usually show the person who speaks English the best what I need and if possible to the masseuse on their body because l don't want a full body massage but most focus on upper back, traps, shoulders, neck, and head! Also the pressure and methods used to kneed the muscles is key (hence being called deep tissue). So for me if after all my explanations you barely tackle my tight muscles then why do you expect I tip you $10? I wish I could get $10 every hour for 8hrs everyday for barely trying. $80 a day and $320 a month min. That is not bad to me during these financially hard times for many during the pandemic or am I wrong? In all, I am sad that after years of frequenting this establishment that is now under construction when i am due my free massage, oh the irony, Due to Coco and the manager I stopped frequenting them and have already found a new place that does great work and are very professional. Go at your own expense and gusto! Avoid Coco!!!!!
