I made a quick second-night ice run while waiting for parts for my refrigerator, and your ice box was empty. I took my motorcycle to make it a quick trip, backpack and all. The young guys told me, 'Sorry, we're out.' Monica immediately said, 'Hold on, let me check for you,' and within minutes she came back with the three bags I needed. Monica deserves special recognition! That kind of initiative and customer service is hard to find. And Monica, if you ever want to sell timeshare, I'd recommend you in a heartbeat!" Terry R

We are visiting Florida from Texas for a month and did not expect it to be chilly here, had to go grab some cold weather gear that us Texans did not pack.. ooopsies! Husband and I stop at Marshall's... Don't get me wrong, I know I'm not at Nordstroms or Saks.. I don't expect assistance finding things not a glass of bubbles while I shop... I came to Marshalls for a reason... good high quality clothes and brands for a fraction of the price. Husband found a few long sleeves and of course didn't want to go over to the beauty area and try on... he just put them up to him and proceeded to the checkout.... only to get back to our rental condo and can't even fit his arm in two of them... one was good to go and he will be wearing that one over and over...about to get into why.. Those two small shirts went right back into the bag with receipt and tags still on... that's how I roll... I want a refund and respect and honor store policies and want to make everything eezy breezy for myself and the store workers. A few days later we are heading to Destin and I grab my Marshall's return bag with all the goodies and receipts.. Husband that refused to try on stayed comfy in his Jeep while I went in and did the dirty work... Get to the register and kindly say hello and start my return process.... That's when my day totally took a turn....I was asked repeatedly why I'm returning and what's wrong with them.... I stayed kind as a true southern girl who was raised right would... Remember I am a visitor to this state and the only other time I have stepped foot in this store was with my husband a few days prior... he paid with his credit card and he checked out... after thoroughly inspecting the clothes, tags and receipt, holding up the line way longer than she had to... she asked me if I wanted the return back on my card and I said yes please... she attempted to verify the last 4 numbers and then it hit me.. husband paid.. but our credit cards are on same account.. I called him immediately, he answered on first ring.. I told him to run in real quick because we paid on his card.. he was headed in... I looked back at the line I was holding up and smiled and said sorry.. the cashier said "OKAY, I'm going to do it this time on your card but this is the last time!" I was shocked at her aggression and what she was saying... "I recognize you! I NEVER forget a face!" Ma'am I live in another state and this is my second time ever in this store and I have never returned anything here and you weren't even the lady my husband checked out with. still polite and respectful on my part... She continued on with how she remembers me and this is the LAST TIME! She recognized me. I took my cap off hoping for her to realize she had the wrong person. But don't forget, my return had the tags, I had the original bag and the clothes had never been worn and I had the receipt and it had only been a few days. I was 100% in favor of a return! She insisted on refunding back to my card and warned me again IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS that this is my last time. Husband walks in with his card... Im walking out... the cashier is now talking about me to the next guest... I am so embarrassed at what just happened... my husband notices and asked me what just happened.. customers are walking out looking at me because they heard the ridiculing being done to me... I felt like I broke the law or got in trouble... Embarrassing!!!! I explained what happened to my husband and told him I just wanted to go.. of course he had to go back in and set the record straight... We will never return to this store.

They each picked a new toy (yup, we spent over $100. on that little bit of spoiling!), when we were paying the person checking out our order asked us if we would like to buy a plastic Disney bag to put our purchases in? I said no thank you that I would take a regular bag. I was informed that "sorry, Disney is being 'green' and doesn't do plastic". Really? You were ready to sell me a plastic bag. So I asked if they had paper ones? Nope. They only have plastic ones to buy. So, we had to carry our purchases around the outlet mall...until we went to the Nike store. Nike store graciously offered us a shopping bag to carry our purchases. I personally can't stand when companies claim to be 'green', but it's all a show.

My family was on vacation and spent the afternoon shopping, I stopped in to buy a new pair of sandals for a girls trip to Hawaii. There were 4 associates working and 3 customers in the store when I walked in. I was not greeted or welcomed. I was not told about and sales or any sizes that might not be in stock. However I heard two associates telling two other women this. As I browsed, I noticed quickly that other women came in after me and were greeted and helped. They talked about their other pieces etc. Apparently in order to be helped on this store you have to appear that you are dripping in money. I guess my money doesn't spend like the other women in the store. Just because I don't flaunt it or ooze wealth and privilege doesn't mean I deserve to be ignored either by 4 unwilling people. I tried to get one person to help me and she flat walked away from me. It's rare for me to get upset but I was humiliated by elitist and uppity sales associates from Tory Burch. As I walked, the only male working asked if I found everything I was looking for. "Yup I did but no one would help me." And I walked out as freely spent my money elsewhere. I told this story to another retailer who so kind a few stores down and she had been working there for TWO MONTHS. She said she has heard this so many times she can't count them. That is outrageous and disgusting. Be better. Having money or name brand things doesn't make you better, kind, or classy.
