We ordered to go and were hoping to find a good local sushi place so we didn't have to keep driving to Santa Maria for Mikado sushi. We got the California roll, Japanese Lasagna Roll, the spicy ramen, the yakisoba, and the chicken curry. We were disappointed. The Ramen didn't taste or look like ramen. The California rolls were mediocre , kind of mushy (we prefer Mikado in SM sushi) . The yakisoba (the noodles) tastes like BBQ chicken. I've ordered a lot of yakisoba in my life and I've never had one taste weirdly like BBQ chicken, but not the good kind. The curry didn't come with fried chicken slices like the photos show but came with grilled chicken. Overall we were not Impressed and sadly disappointed. read more

Here is where the mis-adventure begins: took 7 Minutes to be seated, 5 minutes to order. Placed a simple roll (spicy tuna with tuna on top)/4 piece sushi. Took 20 mins. Until I had to go ask the server if the rolls were being prepared, they said yes. I approached the sushi chef and saw that they were just starting on my order. I then cancelled my order and walked out, 32 mins. for sushi seemed a bit slow. I then called to speak with the manager and after 30 seconds of arguing with staff was hung up on. I was very disappointed with the service at this restaurant.. I was 1 person at 3:30pm and was never seated in 20 minutes with very little acknowledgement, just that they would be right with me ... I enjoy this humble Asian fusion place. My favorite is the short rib dinner with tempura. The sushi is also reliable. Husband likes the bi bim bap bowls. I enjoy watching the Kpop while I wait for my food. It's not something I would ever otherwise watch, so it makes it fun. I'm only giving 4 stars because the bathrooms could use and overhaul and the last time I got the short ribs, they were actually burnt. But that's literally the first time something like that ever happened for me. I've never had anyone be rude to me and they have always tried to work with me if I had a special request. read more

Hubby and I did the AYCE and were so content with our meals. Besides the sushi, we got teriyaki chicken and spicy Korean ramen, which is not very spicy in my opinion. Called TWICE before coming here and had done an online reservation she'd of time stating I'd be with a dog and both calls were fine and the person on the phone never mentioned any issue with a pup. Drove 45 minutes got there and they said sorry we don't do reservations with dogs. Wtf.... If there is an issue with this situation then CALL the customer ahead of time to let them know you can't accommodated them or the situation. Use to come here a lot but lately they have been going downhill with their rolls. Kinda disappointing. Not every roll needs fish eggs and in the pictures when you order, they don't have fish eggs. Feels like they're trying to make up for their rolls by adding fish eggs to every roll you order. The fish egg isn't evenly distributed too. It will mainly be a chunk on one piece of the roll on one side and little scattered pieces to none on the rest. If the roll doesn't have fish eggs, please don't add it. Not everyone likes to eat fish eggs on every single roll they buy or a chunk of fish eggs on one single piece from their roll. The music is pretty loud when you're in there that you have to literally speak louder to the person in front of you to hear. Which makes other tables around you have to speak louder and you can't hear what the person next to you is saying. read more

Alright, story time! So Sake Sushi first opens, and my boyfriend and I decided to try it after a long work day. The service was awful, the food was sub-par and they ended up charging my card twice (luckily my honey caught it before we left). All in all i would have a given it three stars maybe less if i had rated it at that point(keep in mind it was a brand new restaurant). So couple months go by and my boyfriend convinced me to try it again. I reluctantly say yes and we give it a second chance. The place had totally turned itself around. The service was so much better, and the sushi was DELICIOUS. AND they stay open till ten, which most sushi places in Lompoc close at nine. Lompoc has obtained a new delicious sushi restaurant! I think it's perfect for a casual outing or even a date night! The menu was fairly priced and your food is definitely money's worth. Their rolls are pretty unique and my favorite was the Mexican Fisherman Roll which included some spice, cream cheese, cilantro and just overall tastiness. Service was great and very very friendly. Used to be the best sushi place in town. The rolls were reasonably priced and the food tasted great. The atmosphere was a little much, and if you would have asked me a year or two ago, that would have been my only problem. But now, price hikes, fly problems, and decrease in the quality of food served over the last year has me avoiding the establishment entirely nowadays. Which is a shame, because it was such a great spot. If you're looking for sushi you're better off trying one of the other spots in town now. read more
