Phoenix roll and salmon nigiri

I eat sushi in almost every city I travel to. This spot is exceptional. If you eat sushi often, you can tell fish quality just by the color. See attached pics. The marbling on the yellowtail was incredible. Tuna and salmon were bright and vibrant and tasted very fresh. The Phoenix roll was very good as well. Presentation was 10/10 with the quality to back it up

I love to come here for their bento box lunch special! It's a great price and you get a little sampling of everything. Their sushi is delicious and the presentation is quirky. I have been here many times and each time the service has been excellent and we get our food extremely fast.

Sushi artists! Sake is my "Happy Place"! Anna & staff are so welcoming w personalized service! I've loved Sake for ~15 YEARS!

EXCELLENCE EVERY TIME!! BEST gyozo- potstickers! Beautiful sushi!! No simple rice or seaweed wraps-- wide variety of seafood, veggies, fruit rolls, & sauces! Almost too pretty to eat!

Food Poisoning from eating here on 10/10/25 I really hate to leave this review, but I unfortunately my mom and myself got food poisoning after eating here for her birthday. We both became very sick and have had all the classic food poisoning symptoms. We hadn't eaten anywhere else that day, so I'm confident it was from this restaurant. It's disappointing because the food itself seemed fine at the time and the presentation was lovely, but no one expects to leave a restaurant and end up ill. I'm sharing this so others are aware and so management can investigate their food safety practices -- I'd really like to see this addressed so it doesn't happen to someone else. The rolls we got were the Iron Man, the Sake Panda and King Salmon.

This place is a repeat favorite of mine. The sushi quality always hits and it's speedy service. I like to get it to-go because it's right next to my house. Prices are reasonable as well. This isn't pictured but I also love their stir-fry udon.

Ordered two Eel Avocado Rolls and one Color Dragon roll. Absolutely delicious

Was greeted promptly and walked into a well kept, attractive, modern asian restaurant! Waitress promptly greeted me and took my order. I ordered two rolls, gyoza and a bowl of white rice. All were brought promptly! Presentation, freshness and taste were on point! I do not have anything bad to say. This was a great experience and I will be back!

Then we sat down at the teppanyaki table, and things went south faster than a dropped egg. Our server was solid, but the "chef" was a total trainwreck. It felt like we were an inconvenience to his schedule. He just rushed through the motions with zero engagement, like he was checking off a grocery list instead of actually cooking for people. The "Highlights" (and I use that term loosely): The Timing: I ordered the steak and scallops. He finished my steak before the rice even hit the grill. My cow just sat there getting cold while we watched him "work." The Culinary Wisdom: When one of us asked if the beef was a strip or a ribeye, he literally just said, "It's steak." Cool. Glad we cleared that up. The Cross-Contamination Special: We had a vegetarian in the group. He proceeded to cook her tofu directly in the steak juice. Truly a "chef's kiss" moment if you hate your customers. The Doneness (or lack thereof): The salmon was basically still swimming (raw), and the scallops were charred and tasted like fire and brimstone. The Mussels: I grabbed a side of green mussels. They were... fine? I've had much better elsewhere in town, but they were the Olympic gold medalists of my meal by default. The Silver Lining? The Sake. It came in a take-home glass, was incredibly easy to drink, and was 100% necessary to get through the rest of the experience. I can't speak for the sushi, but if it's handled with the same "I don't want to be here" energy as the teppanyaki, I'd stay far, far away. Two stars only because the hostess was nice and the Sake did its job.

It actually came out in about 20, which was a nice surprise. Great sake selection, and the waitstaff was incredibly attentive all night. The head chef has been with this restaurant over 3 decades, a lot of their staff are long time employees, it tells a lot in times like now. It is not like the best that I had in my life, but it was decent quality with the price tag I was paying. The sashimi cut on the don is thick and fresh. I loved to hear a lot regulars came in and just ordered without looking at menu. I came here on a weekday evening and it was busy but not too crowded and we got seated right away…read more I am traveling from out of state and honestly have pretty high standards for ramen, and I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I really liked the market at the front of the restaurant with all the Asian goodies for sale. It seems like a good place to stock up on some groceries or gifts if needed. As for the food, we got the truffle edamame and pork gyoza to share, and I ordered the KC red. It was a good level of spice (my nose was running but my mouth was feeling good) and had a wonderful burst of flavor. I also got two pieces of pork belly as an addition, and I really enjoyed how it was cut (not too thin, not too thick). Service was good, everyone was nice and friendly. I'd definitely come here again for more ramen. It's perfect for cozy weather.

2 spectacular sushi rolls. 2 crab Rangoon…read more 1 salad or soup choice. For $13. Okay, so it's the lunch special... ...but yeah, $13. And you can make book that you are going to enjoy any sushi roll you get. The portion sizes are very generous and you won't go away hungry, guaranteed. Veggie or seafood, spicy or savory, and just about anything in between is on the menu. My go-to is the Spicy Tuna Crunch roll or maybe the Spicy Crab Salad roll and either way I'm happy as can be. Throw in a couple of Rangoons, with the sweet sauce, as an appetizer and your lunch or dinner is very likely to be an absolute banger. Sushi UNI does a LOT of to-go orders, but if you're staying in, then just know that it can be a touch 'cozy' with seating. There is not a lot of wide walking space, but their sushi game brings in the crowds. You can expect a short wait at lunch, but there are great seats at the sushi bar if you're lucky to get one. But you aren't there for the dining space, you're there for the sushi - and it's FABULOUS. The parking lot is a crampy nightmare, and since there are other popular spots nearby, the lot always seems full. Pricing is fair lunch or dinner, but the value is WAY more than the price point. Service is quick & friendly & most of all, accurate (who wants eel if they ordered tuna?). Great space and outstanding eats!
