Post examination, he stated that the prescription changed a bit and this new prescription would reflect that. Dr. BIlalis entered the prescription to read -1.25 for the left eye on 12/13/2024 which was inaccurate. I received new eyeglasses with the current prescription in which I was unable see out of due to the error. As a customer for over 10 years, I had never had this experience. It was such terrible service from a provider with a bad disposition but moreover, leaving me with a prescription error, wasted time and money for eyeglasses that had to be returned. I would not advise any other customers that I know of to utilize this provider. They also refused service to me after initially advising if I chose to return, I could be seen by the other optometrists.

This is what happens when you try to patronize local businesses in your area. Second, if you don't want to have people use certain insurance or parts of certain insurance, then post it on your website and take yourself off of the insurance company's website. I spoke with my excellent insurance I have since I retired as a federal agent. This insurance company (Aetna Preferred) informed me that you choose to stay on their website. My wife also has what they call an EYEMED Identifier number which specifically covers her for great eye care. My wife has been going to you for a while. Insurance seems to be an issue with your Business. I never have issues with other places.. If you choose just to take primary medical insurance, then let the customers know. Don't treat the insurance companies like a buffet And pick and choose what parts of what insurance are you going to take. Incidentally, The reason "I"only went there once was because of a similar insurance snafu with MetLife under my fed coverage. It took 20 minutes for the lady at the desk to figure out that I was covered. My wife continued to go there because she liked the convenience and the service. The people who handle insurance need to be schooled and how to handle claims and how to look up who's covered and who's not. Bottom Line. It shouldn't be a task just for a simple eye exam or any eye care. Feel free to call me anytime about this.

I've had 2 instances in the last 6 weeks with my kids and their sight equipment... first time baby girl had the leg on her glasses come off when the screw fell out. I didn't have a replacement screw and I didn't feel like driving into Baton Rouge to the place where the glasses were bought so I figured I'd pay whatever they charged to get it done local... stopped in asked if they could repair, didn't tell them I'd never been here before.... they said sure in under 10 minutes glasses back together and in my hand....I say what's the cost? They say nothing, free service...to myself I'm like Damn that's great! Thank them and leave.... A few weeks later the boy comes in with the lens out of his glasses... dropped them he said.... Back I go, the folks here look at them and 10 minutes later completely repaired.... how much I ask? Nothing, free service they say.... again I'm like Damn that's great!
