He was kind enough to replace my order with a new bottle which did not solve the lack of smell. When I informed him of the situation he sent me a gift of a new scent Lime Orange Blossom shower gel. I had reached out to 6-8 perfume making companies in LA and I'm so happy that we went with them. We had organized a perfume party activity as part of a Bachelorette Party. She gave feedback and recommendations on scent combinations which helped to guide us during the process. The little touches just added so much and everyone loved it.

It is all about the notes and how they are blended...Twinkie is just a note, my friend. I went to visit a friend in California and stopped by a small boutique called Sugar. It was there I smelled the most delisha-awesome ..........perfume....called Frosted Tips by a company called Starring!....it smelled like frosting, but it was more than that. It wasn't like I smothered it on my arm. It just smelled heavenly....... I wanted to eat my arm. I can't explain how gourmand works for fragrance..but it does. ..but I am now a gourmand junkie. Fuck the flowers. The Starring...! owners are actresses. Yup.....how cool is THAT? Ever hear of Ashley Peldon??? No? ...........Yeah me neither. So fast forward to last month. I was google- fa-shee-ing and I found their website. They play on the movie industry. With scents such as "bombshell" and "stage mom"...how could I resist placing an order. Hmmm....should I order from the "I always get what I want?" (custom blends)..........a sample from the "Screen Test Collection".........or an item on sale from the "celebrity estate sale"......How freeking cute!! I ended up taking a personality test and had a custom perfume made for me....with my first time buyer discount of 15% (code NEW) ,it came to about $23.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..Not $600 like other places. Sure,my scent was based on the fact that I was a complete attention whore that liked people to turn their heads when I walked by and liked to smell like caramel and cake. I won't take one point off for telling me something I already know. I got a cool bottle with my own scent "name" and a small description of the scent and my personality on what looked like Willy Wonka's Golden Ticket.....the bottom of the bottle had a little star jewel thing that swam around when you shook the bottle. I skipped around singing "I've got the golden ticket,,,,,,,I've got the........." OK I didn't. But felt just like one of the kids. Maybe most like the round blueberry girl. It smelled awesome and yup. People noticed. I never got so many compliments in my life. Next I am doing a "Custom Carnival in a bottle"..http://starringfragrances.com/store/WsDefault.asp?Cat=IAlwaysGetWhatIWantCustomBlends&Sub=77&isThumbs=No&Thumbs= .......What fun is it if you can't smell like funnel cake, Toasted Marshmallows and Kettle Korn every once in a while????...You do it too! From…read morescented candles and fragrance diffusers for your home, to perfumed body products like lotions and body washes. The store is small, but beautifully decorated, including wallpaper made specifically for the shop. The shelves are filled with diffusers and "totems", most of which were works of art in themselves. There was also a profusion of candles that ranged from a modest 3.9 inch varieties to a whopping 13.8 inch one with an over 800 hour burn time. There were quite a wide variety of fragrances, from the resinous to the woody to the floral. The woman attending the store asked what sort of fragrances I liked and directed me to ones that fit those specs. The fragrances were quite complex with distinct notes and layers, much as you would expect in fine perfumes. They were very nice. And very luxurious. Candles start at around 150. And diffusers at around 90. Definitely a place for a fragrance connoisseur willing to pay for luxury.
