Further my rating of Dr. Kristina Gonzalez and her staff at St. Mary's Primary Care, upon further research of the ailment vertigo which I requested a refill for the prescription of the medication meclizine 25 mg BUT was arbitrarily refused, it turns out that there are two primary types of vertigo one can suffer from. The more common is the peripheral type which can occur from motion sickness, inner ear infection, or crystals in the inner ear being out of place and you experience dizziness, imbalance, and an urge to vomit. The other type is the central nervous type which can indicate something more serious e.g. a stroke but how would Dr. Gonzalez or her staff known that if they didn't bother to further question the circumstance or need for the medication requested. Kristina Gonzalez, APRN is officially our new provider and she is knowledgeable, thorough, and really easy to talk to. The front office ladies are very friendly. Great atmosphere walking in. The primary care NPs and PAs were great however many of them left. I saw Dr. Raj who accused me of drug seeking for a medication I've been prescribed since my teenage years. He has horrible patient interaction skills and would recommend avoiding him if possible. Front staff is incredibly friendly. read more

I have never felt more disregarded or unimportant as I did the day I was to meet my new primary care provider. I have a complicated medical history, and I chose an internal medicine doctor, in the hopes of finding a compassionate, experienced doctor to guide me in this next phase of my healthcare journey. This "doctor" was 35 minutes late, and was clearly not the healthcare professional I had envisioned. I spent less than 10 minutes with that woman, and we barely touched on the reason I was there. She spent more time telling me what she wouldn't do for me and making referrals that I didn't ask for than asking about my CURRENT health concerns. All she did was listen to my lungs and look at my lower legs, and yet charged my insurance, as if she had done a full complete physical, which she did not. When she suggested that I follow up with another doctor, I wholeheartedly agreed. I was told to follow her to the front to make my follow up appointment with another doctor to go over my test results. By the time I gathered my cane and my purse, she was gone. It was my first time at that office, I didn't know my way around. Good thing her medical assistant found me wandering around trying to get out. When I finally made it to the front, she was nowhere to be found. I waited a little bit, then told the receptionist that I was leaving. I assumed whatever orders would be in MyChart... right then just wanted to go home. That woman made me feel so small, so insignificant and unworthy of her time...I sat in my truck and cried. I dont know what good it will do but i don't know where else to complain. i love my Dr.s here and the emergency room is second to none. I was scheduled for an appointment when i was discharged from the hospital. i have been trying to reschedule the appointment using the link that they keep sending only to be told, automatically that i cant do that. with no ability to get around it. when contacted several days later when i complained i was told i need to call the CEO. does that sound right to you? This automatic response program sucks and i don't know how to get through. Steer health is not managing this process very well. read more

I'm a new Medicare patient and I saw Dr. Ogden in March before the virus hit. He was great and very thorough. Today, May 26, I called the office to request a prescription refill. I spoke to Elizabeth at 9:30 in the am and she took my information. I was advised that I may have to wait up to 72 hours for the request to be processed. Refills have always been a problem. I tried to get a refill for some medication I had at CVS and was informed that a refill prescription was required. The pharmacist noted that she would have to fax the request to my doctor's office which I acceded to. She also asked me to call the office and remind them to take care of the request. Calling the office of St. Mary's Primary Care is not only time consuming but time wasting. On calling the number, your are informed that they are very busy and to please call back in an hour. After numerous attempts, I gave up and hoped the doctor would re4spoind to the pharmacist's fax. After a period of 10 business days, a visit to the pharmacy revealed that the request for refill had not been addressed. A call to the primary care center resulted in an advise to call in an hour as they were very busy. This resulted in a personal visit to the doctor's office only to be informed that the doctor was not available for the refill request as she had been on l;eave and there was no one wwho covered for her while she was away. I was then given the card of the Clinic supervisor and asked to call her to find out who could order the refill and when. I think this is so ridiculous and absurd. It is the reason so many people have complaints about the medical profession nowadays. These primary care (supposed) professionals have a 9 to 5 job. They handle outpatient concerns and the maintenance of health of their patients. They do not do emergency calls and do not do hospital visits. The least they could do is refill medications efficiently. read more

Have been going here a little over a year now and they seem to NEVER be able to give you a confirmation call. The first three appointments, I asked why I didn't get a confirmation call and they said they were super busy the day before. So apparently they're super busy coincidentally always before my appointment. Then, I've asked them three times to change the address on my file, yet each appointment comes, I'm given a form to verify my information and it's still my old address. I've seen my actual doctor once, Dr. Baldo. The first time I met her, she basically rushed my appointment and didn't really ask any questions about me or what I was in for. The second time was to learn more about different birth control methods and she listed two and I asked what the side effects were and she said, "There's not really any side effects." Okay, really? She didn't explain how they work or anything. So when the nurse came in, I asked her more questions and she was very helpful. She explained I would need to come in every 3 months and do a urine test to make sure I wasn't pregnant before administering me the new birth control shot. Well yesterday I came in for my 3 month check point. They didn't have my appointment on file and front desk was calling around asking who can give me my shot. Wow. Then they asked me which shot it was, out loud, with another family in the waiting room. Idk, maybe you can read my file? I was finally brought in. Although the nurse was very friendly, she didn't do the pregnancy test, and she also asked me which side I did last time. It was 3 months ago, how could I possibly remember! And why doesn't anyone read the patient files anymore before taking them in?? I leave this place worried every time.
