    Bathroom sink

Withdrew my child after a few years of frustration. The textbooks are outdated, no technology, and the campus is dirty. The school has many fundraisers, but who knows where that money goes. There is mold/mildew on the water fountains our kids drink from, as well as mildew on the sinks, exposed electrical cables and basics like a handle on a water faucet are missing. There clearly is no oversight, only blatant health code violations.

It was a beautiful mass with a clear message in the homily about being the ears, eyes, and heart of Jesus to those around us. He encouraged us to offer up prayers for others in need and to do acts of kindness for the elderly. The people there were so friendly and even complimented my husband and my Bills jersey. It was clear that people there love God and love people. We went to this parish since we went to Universal yesterday and saw it was so close. No matter where we are going to mass on Sunday is a must! It truly was a blessing visiting this parish. We will return when we are in town.

He just believes the first person that tells them something rather than addressing the core concerns that affect students. There is visual and audio evidence, yet it appears some students' concerns are not being fully acknowledged. For the past few years, my daughter has been experiencing some challenges, and I believe there may be misunderstandings. Additionally, there have been reports of students being advised not to socialize with each other, and there have been instances of phones being taken without parental consent. I feel that more open communication with parents would be beneficial, as there seems to be a lack of responsiveness to calls and emails. I am concerned about the overall environment and plan to discuss these issues with the archbishop to seek a constructive resolution. My hope is that steps will be taken to ensure that the school promotes a positive and respectful atmosphere, where students learn both academically and morally. Hopefully this helps other parents before bringing and spending their money.. I'm sure public school is a lot cheaper.

All of our kids love the campus and the teachers. The curriculum is challenging but the school is always finding new ways to make learning fun. VCS encourage family unity and there are many social events for families. We feel like VCS is our second home and we have made many friends there, friends that we actually like to hang out with outside of school. As a parent I am always worried if the curriculum isn't challenging enough so when other kids come to Village I ask the parents if their children find the work too easy or more challenging. I have yet to hear of one parent tell me it is easier than their previous school. The teachers and staff alike truly care about these kids and love God. It is evident the moment you set foot on campus. VCS promotes college at an early age and will guide your children through the entire process and hold their hand every step of the way. They focus on what the children like and what they want to study. VCS is a wonderful school and we are so thankful our children have the opportunity to attend.

This was my first year teaching the program at a private school and I loved it! I went to public school my whole life, but this school makes me want to put my future kids in private school some day! There was a brand new principal this year, Ms. Samaniego, and I must say that she is the most involved, open-minded and caring principal that I have ever met! Growing up, I don't remember seeing my principal around very often, but Ms. Samaniego involves herself with the students, parents and faculty every chance she gets. She will serve lunch to the kids, walk them out to their parents car after school, and even set up chairs in the hall! She's always running around, but it's so great to see a principal with so much energy and passion for the students and the school! As an after-school teacher, I only see what goes on after school, but I've met all of the teachers and they care about the success of the students. At Carney, we work hand-in-hand with the principal and faculty to make sure that the students gain the best education that they can and become unique and successful individuals. Even the parents AND grandparents are great! Everyone works together to create an exciting and supportive learning environment for these kids. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to be apart of the school this year. Myself and the Carney Site Coordinator tried to be as involved as we could by going to their annual fashion show luncheon, Kindergarten and 8th grade graduation, volleyball games, and we even put on the first Carney-Val for Halloween. The energy at the school is contagious and you can't help but get involved. I highly recommend this school to anyone interested in private schools. It is definitely a school to look in to.
