my local super market deserves a mention, well i say its local, but its about half an hour away! and thats if the A64 pass grimston bar is not congested or at a stand still!
(avoid around bank holidays etc, its just the small section, pass grimston bar, so sometimes works out faster to go through york)
it seems small compared to asda's and tescos? but they always have in what i want! the staff always super helpfull. (pity about some of the customers! you know the ones, they drive there trollys down the aisles, as if there in their 4X4's, and when they park up, its at a 90 degree angle! blocking everybody! and when asked to move, they have that eww look! as the aisles are not over wide in this store!)
the cafe food is always nicely cooked, good sized, fresh salad garnishes
(more of a side salad then a garnish) so a nice place to stop and eat when in monks cross!
it does get busy at meal times! quite child friendly, with high chairs!
simple seating, the cushioned chairs tend to go fast, counter service, but you order your food at the tills and they bring it to you! you only need to carry your drinks and any food's out of the fridge. help yourself to cutlery, sauce sachets, even newspapers provided.
the taste the difference range is, good especially the choriz0!
the homewares section is worth a look around, and the Tu range of clothing is practical and nice (though not my thing, conservative cuts) and good value and quality!
the fancy dress outfits they have for halloween, easter etc for small children and babies are always mega cute! the school uniforms, though not cute, does for my son.
nice electrical, recent dvd, playstation games etc
have a gluten free section and a what i call a posh foods of the world, from dried seaweed to extra special chocolate sauce!
the wines and spirits section is always good, and every now and again certain lines get discontinued, so its worth a look, they might not have a big sign up for it, so check out the price tags! same with the beauty section! read more
