Falasiri informed us it is a hand-woven wool 'Beijing' pattern rug, with very dense and thick pile, estimated value around $5,000 current market value. It was used over the years, not just displayed, so it had some stains as can be expected. The folks at Falasiri did a wonderful job cleaning it -- they are experts who know what they're doing to protect these valuable heirlooms. Really brightened up the colors and removed the stains. Our bedroom seemed the safest place to use it from now on to avoid further wear or food spillage... and the thick pile of this carpet feels nice underfoot, so that's a bonus.

I met with Joe Sullivan and the price quoted was less per sq ft than the builder wanted for the tiles. He was honest about potential issues with matching the existing tile due to dye lots and variations in color etc. I was so happy when he was able to obtain a sample and it looked close enough to move forward. We ordered the tiles and Deya and her crew arrived right on time and worked their magic. The tiles look great and the match is perfect. From start to finish the process was easy, the price was fair and the work is outstanding!

You will see Ollie's bucktooth grin along with funny sayings all over the store. In 1994 the company started their loyalty program called Ollie's Army which you can sign up for on their website. For every $1 you spend, you get one point. Points move you up the rank and earn you discount coupons off your purchase. According to the company, Ollie's Army get you "good stuff...even cheaper". Currently there are 408 stores in 28 states, several of which are in Florida. Ollie's purchases company liquidations, overstocks, and older items that haven't sold, and resells them in their stores for a discount. You can expect to see name brand items. Ollie's sells a little of everything, cleaning supplies, garden items, books, toys, food, health and beauty, automotive, holiday decorations, home improvements, electronics, flooring, housewares, and so much more. I had previously shopped in the West Palm Beach and Delray stores and they were great for stocking up on hurricane supplies. Ollie's always has a ton of inexpensive K-cups and cheap and unusual snacks. I usually grab some candy as incentives for the kids at school. On this trip I found the snack size bags I use to pack portion controlled snacks for my school lunches. This is the kind of store where you come in for one thing and pretty soon you have a cart full of stuff. Check back often because the merchandise changes frequently and you will always find something new.
