They handled every detail from first phone inquiry to final docking with professionalism and friendly service, yet never intruded in the least with our family dynamics and fun. That privacy as a family to enjoy our kids on deck playing in their sailor hats, the sun and breeze of sailing the Hudson together, photos in front of The Statue of Liberty will be memories for a lifetime. Our host organized a Manhattan architecture cruise tour for us on a gorgeous summer day. We all boarded the boat and peered out the large windows surrounding almost every section of the vessel. Our tour guide explained that while we would need to be seated for the beginning, we were welcome to head out the doors to the front once we were on our way, as the speakers would allow us to hear her narration from the outside. She was extremely knowledgeable and directed our attention with information and history as we moved through the waterways. A beverage is included on the tour, and they have a broad selection from still and sparking water to wines and beers. You can also bring your drinks outside. Most people didn't choose to come outside until later in the tour, so it was a great ride soaking up the sunshine with a breeze from the water. One of the highlights was definitely begin up close with the Statue of Liberty. There was plenty of time there for photos as we turned around before heading back. Getting to sail through the swing bridges was also pretty need. I definitely have a deeper understanding and appreciation for the architecture of the city, and we all had a really enjoyable afternoon!

I highly recommend this tour it wasn't congested on the boat and the service was friendly and accommodating. If I am back in NYC with others that wish a tour and easiest way to see Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge and One World Trade Center by the water I'm telling you this the one to select. You might be able to find a private sail for less money but trust me and just book with Sail NYC. I did based on the reviews and it was well worth it. The only thing and it has nothing to do with Sail NYC, was that we sailed on July 4th to make the Grucci fireworks part of the experience. The traffic getting into the marina was horrendous mostly due to the incompetence of the NJ park police. So if you plan on sailing on any high volume holiday like Independence Day then leave PLENTY of extra time.

He takes just as good of care with his boat as he does with his clients, and is super accommodating. *The boat was very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Had a microwave and stove! Lots of space on the table and seating around it. *Location of the boat was VERY CONVENIENT!! Had a parking lot with lots of space and the marina also had ice (great when you have a cooler/in need of ice for drinks). TIP: Captain Steve was really kind in offering to help us with our cooler, and offered to bring a cart/wagon to put the cooler on to make it easier to bring on the walk to where the boat is docked. *Captain Steve: Not only was he informative about the areas, but he was also a pleasure to have a conversation with. My friends and I had a fantastic experience and enjoyed our time sailing and relaxing , and will definitely sail with captain Steve again this summer!

Hudson River Community Sailing Camp provided her with not only fun on the water but also a valuable educational experience in navigating and controlling a boat. If any parents are considering whether to bring their kids to this camp during the summer, I highly recommend it. The staff are incredibly kind, patient, and professional, making sure each child feels confident and supported on and off the water. My daughter came home excited each day, proud of her new skills and friendships.
