They were so easy to contact and provided the most incredible cheese to go with the margaritas that we brought along. None of the bridesmaids nor the bride are avid sailors (2 had never been on a sailboat) and Jeff made us feel at ease. The day had a bit of rain but cleared into a light misting for our trip and we were able to enjoy the ride without the cover for most of it. The father and son team is hilarious and kept us joking around with them the whole time. Would highly recommend their service and definitely will return soon!

My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our two-hour sailing excursion with Let's Go Sailing. From…read morethe moment we stepped aboard, Gideon made us feel welcome. He is an exceptionally skilled sailor and a genuinely enjoyable person to spend time with. His friend Dave joined us on the sail, and we loved his warm personality and fascinating knowledge of the history of Lake Champlain. The boat was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. Gideon offered to teach us the basics of sailing, which we happily accepted. It was both fun and engaging to learn from someone who clearly loves what he does and enjoys sharing that passion with others. By the end of the trip, we felt like we had experienced far more than just a beautiful sail--we had learned something new, met wonderful people, and created a memorable part of our vacation. The experience was an outstanding value for the price. Although we didn't have children or dogs with us, it's worth noting that both are welcome aboard, making this a great option for families as well. Booking was simple through Gideon's excellent website, and his directions made finding the marina and his slip easy and stress-free. I can't recommend Let's Go Sailing highly enough. If you're looking for a relaxing, memorable, and authentic way to experience Lake Champlain, this is it. A true five-star experience from start to finish.

We were celebrating pur 16th wedding anniversary and he truly made it special. The Beloved Mare is a great sailboat with plenty of seating in the usual area but also outfitted with benches made of pvc/wood up front to sit on as well. They fold down when not in use so these make the ride comfortable and enjoyable. Gideon furnished us with beverages and sunscreen to make us comfortable. There are facilities on board though we didn't partake. The fun part was learning about the geology and history of the area "Gideon-version." He was a hoot and made us all laugh so much. We really enjoyed our sail and highly recommend Gideon.

I thought it would be awkward and I'd be the oldest or least experienced person in the class but not even close. Everyone is welcomed here. The courses were casual and comfortable and taught me basic skills to get me independently out on the water. And the CSC staff were knowledgeable, friendly, kind, patient, and supportive throughout my experience. And once you've learned how to sail, if you don't have a boat or a place to put one... the rentals and reasonably priced season pass practically guarantee you (and any friends or family you might want to bring along) at least a couple hours a day out on a sailboat (or a kayak or paddleboard if there's no wind lol) for the whole summer. It's hard to beat sailing on beautiful Lake Champlain on a sunny and breezy summer day!! If you've ever wanted to sail but couldn't or were hesitant... it's not too late and this is a great place to do it!

I took five teenagers on this trip, and from day one Captain Mike made them feel like true crew members -- not just passengers. He has a natural gift for teaching and kept the teens fully engaged the entire time. They were hands-on with everything: learning the mechanics of how a boat moves through the water, taking turns at the helm steering, navigating our routes, tying up at the dock, refueling, and handling lines like pros by the end of the week. Captain Mike struck the perfect balance between safety, structure, and fun. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure each teen learned real sailing skills and gained confidence on the water. It was amazing to watch them grow more capable and self-assured each day. If you're looking for an unforgettable sailing experience -- especially for teens who want to truly learn and participate -- Captain Mike is the one to call.
