Piper's is by far the best repair shop around....Five star. Has always stood behind his work with…read moreme. Always goes the extra mile to make sure every thing is perfect with my girl.

From the owner: Been getting lots of emails asking us if we do infact repair 2-stroke motors. The answer is "YES"…read morewe do. I guess lots of repair shops will refuse to work on 2-strokes nowadays. Summer 2025: Been dealing with lots of bad/rotten fuel. Did you know: Ethanol in boat fuel is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture from the air through tank vents, leading to water contamination, phase separation, and potential engine failure. This creates a water-ethanol mixture that settles at the bottom of the tank, causing corrosion, hard starts, and damaged components. Phase Separation: When water concentration reaches approx1/2 of 1%, the ethanol-water mixture separates from the gasoline and sinks, where the engine fuel pick-up is located. Engine Damage: This water-rich mixture causes severe engine sputtering, stalling, rust, and corrosion of aluminum tanks, fuel lines, and carburetors. Solvent Properties: Ethanol acts as a solvent, loosening debris in the fuel system, which can clog filters, injectors, and carburetors. Storage Issues: Ethanol-blended fuel degrades faster, making it risky to leave in a boat for long periods. If a tank has already suffered significant phase separation, the only remedy is to drain the tank completely. Clean fuel system completely out. And start with fresh ethanol free fuel with stabilizer.
