Rented a pontoon boat on Lake Bomoseen in the month of August along with a tube. My son and his friend had a great time on the lake. Also us adults enjoyed trolling around the lake all day long stopping to look at house and take a dip. Nothing beats being on a boat on this Lake. If you rent a boat from this marina,take photos of every square inch of the boat before you depart. I repeat, TAKE PHOTOS OF EVERY SQUARE INCH OF THE BOAT BEFORE YOU DEPART. The young lady went through all the existing damage on the boat prior to our rental and wrote everything down. When we returned the boat, she inspected it and said, "Did you hit anything?" I'm looking at the front of the boat where she was inspecting and saw nothing, could not see whatever it was she was referring to except some weeds on the the pontoons. I told her we docked at a restaurant and docked to pick up other members of our party, but we used the bumpers every time and didn't hit anything. Then she pointed to a dent at the right front corner of the boat deck, and said that it was perfect when we left. There is nothing that we could have hit that deck with while we were using the boat. At the restaurant we pulled up beside the dock and nothing could have even touched the deck. Same with the dock at the house, if anything would have touched the dock it would have been the pontoons, not the deck, since it is a floating dock with no way for the pontoons to slide underneath. They told us they wouldn't charge us to replace it, only the repair time which amounts to $30. What a deal! I wonder how many times they have charged $30 for the exact same dent on the right front deck of the pontoon boat (there was plenty of other pre-existing un-repaired damage on the boat, by the way; I am sure people were charged for those repairs/replacement which was not done). Of course, they have our credit card and it's our word against theirs, so we had to take the loss. Like I said before, TAKE PHOTOS OF EVERY SQUARE INCH OF THE BOAT if you rent from here. The light changes from morning to evening and clearly she did not see this little dent when we departed in the morning, and we had to pay the price for it. I will be shocked if it will be repaired at all. It's too bad because it was a sour note to end a great day on the water. I was considering renting a little fishing boat from them next week but I will not be doing that now. Oh well, saves me my money. Sometimes it's better for business to keep the customer happy and not nickel and dime them, especially for damage that we did not cause on a boat that already had quite a bit of pre-existing damage. read more
