He has always been super responsive to our group, and his knowledge of the area is extensive. We docked at his marina and stayed overnight at Big G's Pub airbnb just up the block. Lynn was super-accommodating. Ten of us descended on his Pub for a late dinner, and despite being short on help at that late hour, Lynn did not disappoint. Wings, burgers, steaks, fries, were all fresh, hot and delicious. Jim at the bar keep our drinks cold and full. We enjoyed the classic rock music and playing pool, but most of all we enjoyed chatting with Lynn and hearing of his exploits and adventures. Two of our ski's broke down on our way to Whitehall, so we left them at a marina on our way up. Lynn called us the next day to see if we were able to pick them up or if we needed help. If you are in the area, stop by for a beer, a bite and a chat with Lynn, absolutely one of the nicest guys we have ever met. On the minus side, it's a heck of a steep hill to get your boat onto the trailer and out of the marina. You're going to need all the possible torque to be successful at driving up the hill. At the top, there was a shady spot that made it easy to get all the day's rubbish and coolers out of the boat so it was ready to transport back to the parking. It would have been nice if they had a dumpster or a trash can up there but they don't. We brought the trash with us instead. Fuel's not cheap, so fill up before you get here. Believe them. 2-THINK about where you will get your camper serviced. They all need service, just like your car. If you get a GREAT chain store deal (see #1, it isn't so great), or FB marketplace deal, where will you get it serviced? Think ahead. Exit 1 provides great local service. 3-The personal touch. When we picked up our camper, my husband and I stopped for coffee first. We spent hours, led by Exit 1 staff, leisurely going through our camper and asking EVERY question, flicking EVERY switch, moving EVERY hose, learning by doing. Do you think that happens when you buy a discount "clearance" camper online? No. We weren't rushed at all. We were encouraged to keep asking! This morning, 2 days after bringing the camper home, I opened my mailbox to find a hand written thank you note from Kelly, who guided us through the sales process. The boat pavilion, next to the docks, where the catered dinner was located, was a great space. The collection of boats of the various members, was quite interesting. It really is a truly hidden gem. My only issue was the extremely steep walkway down to the docks. Later learned a much easier path upon leaving. Signage could have helped with that. One near the parking lot should state "The Courageous can follow this path", with another, "The Less Courageous must take this path". All in all, a very quaint boating club.
