I discovered this restaurant while on a business trip. It was just around of the corner of my hotel and I will never miss the occasion to try Vietnameee food.
The first night I went in and I was alone except for one other couple. I ordered two dishes but the waiter kindly advised me to take one because of the big portions. So I opted for Pho Bo soup.
It was big and good. I ate better but it was more than average and enjoyed it. I also tried the dummmer roles. OK but lacking fresh vegetables.
It promised myself to go back the next day to try the Pho Xao, a dish with duck , rice noodles and vegetables.
And so I did but I took also the springroles as a appetizer. But what a dissapointment. These were the worse springroles I ever ate with only over coocked cabage inside. No meat, no vegetables. I returned the plate something I do once every 10 years.
The Pho Xao I ate but the noodles were over cooked and the duck was little and to much fried.
The waiter, I suppose the son of the owner was very busy on is cell phone and I had no attention when I liked to order another glass of wine. It is a shame because he is a nice guy but not professional.
This family should do their best to make real good Vietnamese dishes with a client oriented service. This restaurant recently reopened but if they do not correct they will soon be closed again. read more
