The craziest part is that it's been 7 weeks since I got the set, and my nails STILL haven't lifted! Yes, I definitely need to get a new set or a fill at this point, but I'm genuinely shocked. I've been to other salons where my nails usually start lifting around 4-5 weeks, so I have no idea what Laneva did differently, but whatever it was, it worked! My last experience there was decent but could have been better, so I didn't expect to be blown away. I'm leaving this review because I am so impressed with the service I just received. First, they allowed me to make a last minute appointment for 7 PM for a mani/pedi when they close at 8 which I feel is very generous! I had Tammy, and she was so, so very nice to work with! I had a hard time finding a color (always do) and she worked so hard to help me find exactly what I wanted. She did both my pedicure and gel manicure, and I have NEVER ever had such a smooth polish application at any salon I've been to. She put so much effort into making sure the final result was flawless, and set a high bar that I'm not sure can be beat. He was very pleasant and he took his time, paid attention to the details, and even re-polished a nail three times because the top coat didn't cooperate. I booked my appointment three weeks in advance for 10:00 AM and received written confirmation stating, "See you at 10:00 AM." On the morning of my appointment, while I was dropping my daughter off at daycare 30 minutes away, the salon called and told me my appointment was actually at 9:00 AM. Despite me having confirmation that my appointment was scheduled for 10:00 AM, the response was essentially, "We called the other appointments and they can't move, so we can't do your nails. You can come sit here and we'll see if we can work you in." So because of an error on their end, I was the one who lost my appointment. As a new customer, I was apparently the easiest person to bump. What was most disappointing was not the scheduling mistake itself, mistakes happen, but the complete lack of effort to make things right. No accommodation, no attempt to prioritize me, no solution. I took time off work, arranged my entire day around this appointment, and left feeling completely dismissed. Customer service matters, especially when the business is at fault.
