We stopped in and were overwhelmed by the menu. There were only 2 others dining but we decided to go ahead and order. The place was clean but there was a major concern: the silverware is placed on the tables in a stainless steel holder and it seemed unsanitary. Also, I hated the napkins. Now the food: the menu is absolutely overwhelming. From soup to baos to plenty of appetizers to bahn mis to pho to beef and chicken dishes, it's a little too much. I will say there might be something for everyone. My mom has the sizzle beef. It was oddly chewy. The bell peppers were great and the rice was perfectly cooked. However, it was served on lettuce and tomato which didn't add to the dish at all. Solid 2.5/5. I got a bulgogi bahn mi and it was tiny but exactly what I would go for at a Vietnamese restaurant. I paid $11.50 for it (added an egg) and that was brutally priced. We got the loaded fries and they were so underwhelming. No flavor at all from the fries and bulgogi...the egg didn't add anything either. I would give it a 1.5/5. There were a ton of people coming in and grabbing to-go orders for delivery services and I believe most of them ordered the pho. I think that's where we messed up. For $51, it was quite a lackluster experience. The customer service was great but I don't think I'll be back.

It's a pretty small restaurant, but there are a lot of tables. You can either wait and be seated or if you find any free spots, you can sit down and they will come and give you a menu. I ordered their bum bo hue $16 and it was delicious. The broth was to die for. It was super flavorful and the spice and salt levels were just right. Not too salty, not too spicy. I've tried tons of bum bo hues in CA and dallas, and I would have to say Tan My is in my top 3, which says a lot! My husband ordered their vermicelli with charcoal broiled beef rice noodle bowl $15 and he says it tastes better than Pho Bac in richardson; iykyk. Overall, 10000% recommend. They are located in a really small plaza with a really small parking lot so I would definitely recommend carpooling or getting there early. Service here was great and it was nice that the young guy would check in on us. We are so happy to have found a really good asian restaurant; we've had a lot of misses, but this one was totally worth it. Ugh, I want another bowl just by writing this review!!

For the bowl, you select the base of rice, salad, vermicelli noodles and you can order half/half rice and salad, select your protein like beef, chicken or pork, select your veggies and drizzle of dressings. Since it was my first time visiting, I opt to get the dressings on the side so that I can try different dressings. I've ordered the pork banhmi and rice bowl and the beef rice bowl. Out of the three, I liked the beef most because of the more tender sliced meat. The bread was too soft for my liking and I wished it was a bit more like a baguette. The rice bowl is definitely better than the banhmi. Good customer service. Water cup is available on the counter.

I added carrots, cucumbers, fried onions, and cilantro. They have a few sauces you can also add, but decided on the spicy mayo sauce. This reminds me a lot like Chipotle where you select the toppings. The place itself had some seating and a drink refill station. The bread was not made the way I like it a soft and flaky baguette bread but it was edible. My kids had ordered the rice bowl and they said tasted fine but nothing spectacular. Overall, you have to try this yourself and judge whether its good or not. Its definitively a different take on the traditional Vietnamese dishes.
