Large pho bowl (rare meat flank and meatballs) and two vegetable spring rolls

Stopped by for a quick dinner, and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the large pho bowl with meatballs and rare flank steak ($15.95) and two vegetable spring rolls ($2.99). Pho was delicious and they were very generous with the servings, especially the full plate of vegetables on the side. The spring rolls were hot and fresh out of the fryer, so can't complain. Service was good, and food came out quick. Its a small family-owned restaurant, and I was happy to leave satisfied, while also supporting local.

I went last night for dinner. Food and service was OK. However, also order Shrimp Salad To Go for lunch today. So upset when I opened the to go box, just now to see the salad. It was a complete disappointment. There were hardly any shrimp and the shrimp there were sliced in half lengthwise to make it appear like a full shrimp. There was maybe two shrimp in the entire order. Complete rip off. They should call this a cabbage salad with a sad shrimp accent.

Personally loved this this experience . My pho was good and I enjoyed the fried calamari, I will say the egg noodle soup wasn't as great as the other dishes . The inside is more of a hole in the wall vibe & the star was my server Ethan who was attentive and very sweet .

So so good! I came here for lunch by myself while I was on the phone for work and everything was amazing. I was able to be seated right away and got to perusing the menu--I had a very hard time choosing. All the food tasted really fresh and the layers of flavor in all of them are so evident. The sauces for each of the dishes complimented them greatly. Any sort of ethnic food is a huge welcome to the Island and the area, especially when it's as great as Pho Saigon. Would highly recommend!

We were so glad to have found this restaurant. The weather called for soup and this restaurant has a ton of options. The hot and sour was pretty good but much sweeter than I am used to. It was still quite good. It comes with the lunch specials as well as a spring roll. The goi con here is pretty amazing. I ordered 3 on my second visit. It would be great to have just a few more greens and possibly a little less noodles. The sauce to dip them in was perfect! They also have an appetizer called Tiger Shrimp. Ohhhhhh my those things were so good. You could order 2 or 3 of those and call it a lunch. If you remotely like shrimp do yourself a favor and get these. There is a well seasoned onion that is cooked in with it. Crispy and delicious The other dishes we tried were all well seasoned. The portions were also nice sized for the price. I ordered my curry extra spicy and it had a decent kick. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Non-traditional, I would describe it as Vietnamese inspired with fusion that works and misses on certain dishes. The lunch menu is reasonably priced, with a spring or fresh roll and soup. I had the lemongrass chicken, which was tasty but spicier and saucier than the typical version. The chicken was sliced thin in odd rectangular pieces. It had the texture of chicken but not much flavor other than absorbing the sauce. I am guessing it is run through a meat slicer when frozen. This is the first time I wanted more rice from an Asian restaurant. It came with barely half a cup. The fresh roll lacked greens and herbs although the accompanying dipping sauce was fine albeit on the sweet side. The hot and sour soup was where fusion went wrong. It tasted more like sweet and sour egg drop soup. Not a version I would recommend. Located adjacent to the Verizon plaza. As with most businesses in the Hilton Head area, it is recessed from the main road so look out for the small signage. For take out, everything including the soup was well packaged to avoid spillage.

Update: We came back here and we had a same menu. This time my pho was good but my husband crispy chicken was not fresh some reason. Outside is too crunchy and that's taste like recooked fried chicken. Meat was very dry.

Biggest issue was that both soups had an unbearable, overpowering amount of salt content. They were basically inedible.

My hubby & I got take out for us & 2 friends. I can't remember the name of what I ordered but it included chicken, veggies, and noodles. It was really good and I would definitely eat this dish again. I also ordered a spring roll and it was served with a yummy dipping sauce. My hubby got some sort of beef & noodle dish and he said his was ok, but didn't seem to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed mine. The owner was very nice & graciously welcomed us to the restaurant when we arrived to pick up our order which was ready 10-15 mins after we called to place the order. I am definitely a fan of this place! read more

My family and I stopped by there on our way home from the beach and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was really good! We had the seafood pho, the beef pho, egg rolls, spring rolls and the vermicelli salad with grilled pork. Now I've had a few vermicelli salad with grilled pork before but this one is deeeeeelicious! It was so tasty and satisfying. The service was good and we had no issues. It's right near Tanger Outlet 1, so it's super convenient and easy to find. read more

Not everyone can open a restaurant. Really. Even if you think your mom's cooking is the best in the world, that doesn't mean you need to open a restaurant. Walked in. About 6 four-tops needed to be bussed. Luckily the guy was making his rounds (albeit slowly) and getting them cleared. The guy barely acknowledged us as we walked in and just pointed for us to sit anywhere. Sat down and took a few minutes until the menus came. Despite being 1 of 5 tables in the whole place, took about 10 minutes for a server to come by and take our order... spring rolls, chicken wings, 3 pho's. (The server was also very very confused with our order.) Brought out chicken wings... and egg rolls. Ok, she confirmed our order with us about 4 times and still we got egg rolls AND she wrote it down on a piece of paper. Very confused. Then the pho. My dad and I got the regular pho, and my mom got the one with the beef meatballs. Somehow there were 2 w/ the beef meatballs and one regular pho. Ok? Wrong again? Taste: Spring Rolls - bland. Too dependent on the sauce to make it taste good. Chicken wings? Cooked wings drenched with oily sauce. Pho: You know, it was ok. It wasn't very flavorful, but it did ok. I've had much better. I'm not sure where else you can find Vietnamese food around here, so this place may be your best bet. Altogether? about $43 for 3 people. Will I return? No. Not because of the so-so food, but more so because the restaurant lacked professionalism. Again, not everyone can open a restaurant. Here's the disclaimer: One of my best friends is Vietnamese. I've had Vietnamese in a variety of major cities at some of the best known Vietnamese restaurants... so... I'm a tough palate to please. read more

I went here with my boyfriend and his grandparents. I guess the grandparents are regulars, and every.single.staff.member. came up to us to give them hugs and say hello! I think that really says something (also about what dolls my boyfriends grandparents are) about the place. Having somewhat recently lived in Vietnam (albeit in Central Vietnam, and this is really southern food) I can honestly say the flavors are both delicious and authentic. Amazing. read more

Real Good Asian food-Great Veggie Fried Rice -First Vietnamese Restaurant ever super Really had a great experience last night dinner/supper.. I got introduced by Jamie Paris (James Paris).. He was kind enough to get me through Ashley or other person who was working in the restaurant. Veggie Fried rice was really awesome and outstanding. This is first Vietnamese restaurant - i had such a great experience. I had gone few in Virginia and Orlando, Florida but i cannot figure out what to do or eat..These people made exactly what I do and eat in Thai place- they made it remarkable. This place was always crowded. I heard from Jamie this was one of the topmost place people visit in Bluffton. On Saturday it was really crowded. Owner's father-in-law is really genuine, honest, and all the time looking for help. He comes and gives water with no ice every few minutes- he comes and touches -really touching and touched by his genuine gestures. Great food and good place. One should not miss it. I used to love to frequent this place. I loved their tofu pho. My bf picked up some on his way home from work..... This place must be under new management or owner or chef. The tofu was 1/3 of the size it used to be. The broth tasted very different too. An order of the tofu spring rolls use to come with 2, and now 1. I even asked for extra tofu and it came with the same amount a normal order did. It was kind of funny, because it looked like they cut the piece of tofu in thirds.?!! Very disappointing. And to think.... I thought I had a local Pho place. read more

Decent, very limited choice but fairly authentic menu items. Best in the area, but I've been eating Viet food for over 30 years and this place needs to bolster their choices as there are far too few. **** is my scale top for this kind of restaurant, it needs a fair bit of expansion to get that. read more

Love it! The food is fresh and tasty. It is as if a Thai restaurant had a baby with a Chinese restaurant, you would get Saigon Cafe. I don't feel guilty after I eat it the way I feel when I eat Chinese food. Love the noodle dishes, the egg rolls, the hot and sour soup - can't wait to try more. read more

Coming from Seattle where Pho is everywhere..about as much as a Starbucks, I consider myself a connoisseur:). There is no place around here besides Saigon Cafe that delivers. I have heard the clay pot chicken is really good too, but I can't drive an hour and miss my favorite!! read more

When we move to Bluffton, a few years ago, we found this void in our dinning favorites. My husband would go consistently for dinner and lunch, on a cold day. The Pho and Pad Thai are delicious. Then something happened with the waiters. Everything changed with the service and the communication between the kitchen and them. That happens in a small family run restaurant. The food here is unsatisfactory for the price it represents. My family ate here, and the food cost $67 for just a small portion!!!! The food was ok, bu Vietnamese cuisine is notorious for being cheap. I'm Vietnamese and when I asked the waiter about the menu, he didn't comprehend what I was saying. The Pho is PHOnomenal!! The food is always hot, fresh and tasty!! They are quite busy at dinner and you may have to wait, but the gentleman that seats you wastes no time turning the table so you can be seated. I haven't had a disappointing meal yet, and I go OFTEN!! read more

Excellent gem. my wife and I went there for lunch, and we loved it. I had beef pho, she had the pork chop with rice. Both excellent choices. The service was impeccable and the quality of food/price was extremely reasonable. If your in the area and really want good food, fast service and reasonable pricing, this is the place, you will not regret it. read more

This place has the best Vietnamese food. The booths have been recovered since their debut in some 50's diner ! The food is reasonably priced however the money you save you will spend at the chiropractor . Update 4/5/18 walked in today and low and behold,,, new booth seats ! Thank you , thank you. Love this place best food in town and now you will sit in comfort. read more

This was our first time trying Vietnamese food and it was very, very good. While vacationing in Hilton Head, I wasn't feeling well and just wanted some soup or something healthy and light to eat. The Chicken Pho that I ordered was great. It was delicious and I'd definitely order it again. It was so good that I already checked Yelp for a local Vietnamese restaurant in my own town back home. The service was good and the owner was the nicest man ever! read more

I am definitely not a Vietnamese food expert. I don't even know anyone that is. But, I like Asian food in general and think this place does a good job. I like the fact that meals are commonly served with fresh vegetables and herbs and various condiment options. My favorites are the spring roll, Goi salads, grilled chicken banh mi, and the rice plates. The house fish sauce is like a sweet and sour sauce and not overwhelming at all. I have only ever ordered take out. One time I was told 20 minutes but had to wait an additional 15 minutes when I arrived - they apologized over and over. If you have never tried this type of food you should really give this place a try. read more

Okay I recently reviewed this business after a dining in experience and now I'll update it with with my take out experience. It was also fabulous! I called it in while just a few minutes away. We headed there directly after and had the same thing that we had while dining it so we could compare quality of the food in a dine in experience and a take out experience. Remarkably the food quality was amazingly great! I feel I got the same quality in food while dining in and taking out. read more

Our journey with Saigon Cafe began in 2019 when our family took over a small corner restaurant with a dream — to share the authentic taste of Vietnam with our community. The building had once been a local diner, but we saw potential to turn it into something special — a cozy café that brought people together through food, tea, and culture. We started with a simple menu of Vietnamese comfort dishes like pho and banh mi, inspired by the recipes passed down from our grandmother in Saigon. As word spread, customers began asking for more, and that’s how our famous boba tea and Chinese fusion dishes were born. Even today, Saigon Café keeps the same heart it had when we first opened — a place where tradition meets creativity. Now, I want to talk about the homemade hot sauce. That was enough to make me want to go back again. It is delicious! I love it a lot more than the standard chili flakes they offer at these places. Service was good, the waitress made sure I was taken care of. The shop is quite small and private, so it's comfortable and not too loud. Overall, I recommend it.

It's similar to Laab/Larb but with beef instead of chicken. It was a tender flank steak, tossed with lettuce, cucumber, green onions and chilis. Choose your heat level, I went with spicy, just a step below the Thai spicy and it was just enough to make my nose run. You can also get it with zero spice, but that combo of hot beef, crisp cold vegetables, spicy, sweet, sour, crunchy and chewy. Tables can be a bit tight for a couple as you'll only get a 2 top (they get busy and need to save the larger tables for bigger parties). Could use two bathrooms though, the one they have is large but when they are packed it can be quite a wait. Lots of metered street parking on Broughton and nearby streets. We'll be back again!

It was tasty but I'm not used to getting peppers and onions in my noodle bowls but I liked it. I got a little extra salad dressing and added some sriracha. I like sambal but they didn't have any. Sriracha is a solid backup. For our meal with tip it was $62 and some change. I'll go back next time I'm in town but I'd like to try their pho next time. Portion sizes are big and we brought leftovers home for later.

I used to love this place but little by little, they had morphed into a generic type asian restaurant. They have taken many of the true Vietnamese dishes off the menu and with the ones they still have they have gotten chintzy with portions or accompaniments, for example with the Pho last time I went, there was very little meat and a few pieces of basil, a sprinkle of sprouts and 2 stalks of cilantro. Since I had a lot of broth left, I asked for a little extra basil and some sprouts and they charged me $2.50! What??!!! you can buy a huge bag of sprouts for a dollar - really?! I'm not the only one who has gotten soured on this place - 2 years ago, many of us loved it - now meh not so much. Too bad as they can make nice dishes but they have turned into something ordinary. I don't like the fact that it's like fast food restaurant, I sat down and ordered my food, they came out in 3 minutes with the pancake but it's not cripy and look like they put in the microwave.... Another time when I went there, I ordered the salad, there was a hair on my plate so I told the waiter. They took it back, re'garnished the same plate, and brought back out.
