They say a picture is worth a thousand words -then about ten thousand more to someone in love. I'm here to confirm that both of those statements are true. Mostly thanks to the beautiful and esteemed work of Saiaf Films, who did an amazing job - I mean AMAZING JOB, with the completed photos I just received of my winter sunset wedding! Photos that for me at least, border on PERFECTION, especially since I had such poor expectations and was so doubtful starting out. My sister, bridesmaid and photographer herself, always says capturing the "look of love" is the hardest thing to do on film, two people truly in love even more so. I don't know if it's the sureness of self from years of experience, ultimately developing a knack for the right shots and which moments to preserve, or perhaps it's just the natural talent, passion and instinct for this type of art - having an "eye" for such photography. Believe me, for such a finely crafted and stunning finish, I can attest it truly is an "art." At least the fine folks at Saiaf Films have managed to take something as pedestrian as "taking a picture" and succeeded in elevating it into an art form themselves. I personally think it must be a combination of all three. Now I wouldn't call myself either model-like or ugly, but photos of me have always been...two thumbs down disappointing. I've just always hated the look on my face in most of them honestly. Like all of us, I've taken thousands, I'll admit, some of them I've even liked a little! A rare few that really managed to bring out the "essence of me" have I loved. Most though, I've plain disliked, or flat out hated! I just never learned how to pose, especially smile for them, and while my friend's fake smile game is solid, mine is AWFUL, let me tell you! Can anyone relate? For the mere fact it was my wedding, a moment in time to remember forever, I reluctantly agreed to hire someone and memorialize the day. I wasn't expecting much. I figured, through no fault or lack of skill on their part, that at best I'd get back a pile of pictures with my frozen, terrible "fake smiling" face in a beautiful white dress (and wearing a magnificent ring as well by the way, but I digress...) What I DID get back however, was the result of an unarguable, indisputable, talented and obviously dedicated to his craft, "PROFESSIONAL" professional photographer. Not to sound narcissistic by any means, but I was shocked to see myself in those photos as beautiful, delicate, feminine, happy, most of all, in love, very, very obviously in love in fact with my lifemate and now husband and partner for life. What he was able to skillfully capture was the look of desperation in our eyes that said "I can't and won't live without you!" The look of true joy on our faces as we clasped hands at the alter and realized we were about to be joined eternally at the root, till death parts us. The look that only those stupidly in love share, the look that I was skeptical could be caught, but is so joyously and plainly evident to see. Those gorgeous pictures that still bring a tear to my eye upon seeing again. Even the abstract, object only photos, without people or faces, from our grasped hands, ringside up, to the invitations, date cards and place settings at the tables, even in those, I stress talented photographer did more than snap a photo, he captured the spirit of birth in all its Glory. The birth of a family, the birth of a new era, the birth of the rest of our lives together, the birth of something truly breathtaking, living, fragile. Every photo was the same, and each glowed with the spirit of life in a way I've not seen before and doubt to see again. To call photography merely an art almost borders on insulting here. They created magic. Magic I'll be humbly proud to show off on display for a lifetime, then will to the kids as a treasure to cherish in time, because they really ARE that good! Well, since I can't repay my gratitude with a full time salary, the very least I can do is leave my glowing recommendation here, and that, coming from a genuine, it takes an awful lot to impress me, skeptic. To think, a rave report like this, (which I never, ever do - and don't get me started on the damned caterers!) Oh where do I even start, for everyone If you seriously want to have some of the best wedding memories at a fantastic price point and zero stress on your wedding day, you can't go wrong with Saiaf films. I hardly post reviews online but I just needed to share my experience with these guys. I already booked a photographer like say 3 months in advance, the guy almost everyone in my family had used for their wedding. About 3 weeks to the wedding, he suddenly took ill and there wasn't any plan for him to find a replacement. I think it was one of the worst things that happened during the planning process but at the end of the day, one of the best also. I saw their page on Instagram and just decided to send a message if I could have someone come around in that short notice. They replied almost immediately which I appreciated and within a few hours, we pretty much had a deal. They had another engagement that day but because I was having an evening wedding, it kinda made it easy to get a team across. I can safely tell you that the wedding video made me shed a few tears and I am absolutely grateful that the finished work was more than I bargained for. Given the short notice and the rush factor, everything went smoothly. I am totally impressed by the way they were professional and were able to keep me updated after the wedding, even with the video editing. When there were issues, they did everything to proffer solutions that made sense and worked out well in the end. I'd rate you guys 7 stars if I could. They're that awesome and amazing!!! We couldn't wish anything better with our wedding photos!! They did an incredible job capturing every event of our wedding as they unfold--the love and genuine emotions, and then the fun during the reception party. We didn't get a video (which we regret!), but we're still able to relive the fun and magic over and over again with his beautifully taken photos, which captured the spirit of the event. We loved how laid back and relatable Saiaf was, while also being extremely professional. He showed up on our first meeting early and prepared with all the sample photos and videos from his previous projects. He was also straightforward with his opinions on different options. He was very honest as well about the pros and cons of my desire not to have the first-look photos before the ceremony commences. In the end, we've decided to completely skip the first look so that we can have the truest reactions as I walked down the aisle. But we also wanted to make sure that we didn't spend too much time with photos after the ceremony, so we will not be missing out on spending time with our guests during the cocktail hour. Saiaf put up with my schedule and was very quick to ensure that everything works out as planned. Everyone in his team was fast and efficient, while also making sure that me and my husband have some special time alone before we join the group. We were able to get a ton of beautiful pictures of the two of us in a few different spots at our venue in Heritage Square, along with the fun photos with our families and friends. The candid photos he took were just as lovely as the posed ones. We've got lots of beautiful smiles and laughs, tears of joy, and crazy moves on the dance floor. Not only they were such a wonderful, warm team of professionals, they were so easy to work with, and so much fun... on top of all that, their works as what we have seen were truly amazing! I have been to multiple weddings that he has shot at. As a photographer, I understand the stress that comes with a photography and videography, the pressure of not getting in the way of guests but being able to get the shots on site. Not only is he kind to the guests, he has a welcoming warm smile. He is accommodating and communicates well with his clients. He clearly understands what he is doing because he is at many of the weddings I have attended, along with the many positive reviews on this site. Saiaf Films is honestly the bomb when it comes to anything related to photography. I recently helped with the logistics for the wedding of a close friend of mine, and I cannot stress how happy he and his wife are with the results of their pictures. They look fantastic, top of the line, and I think I look better in them than I ever could in real life. My friend and his wife were even happy to have them at the wedding, they were simultaneously professional and also enjoying the ceremony with the rest of us guests. There were plenty of smiles and jokes to go around from their staff to lighten the mood, and everyone had that easy happiness that comes when you know that you're looking good. And it was easier than ever to look good, as they photographers only caught you in the best light or in authentic moments. There were plenty of static photos as well to be sure, but they helped make those more bearable through a combination of recommendations, ranging anywhere from poses and picture themes to simple stuff like fixing a collar or smoothing some unruly hair, and just generally making them feel less like we were posing at all. The results of the ceremony obviously pleased me, but the entire process was top of the line as well. The initial set up was incredibly easy, and after hearing the nightmares that some of my friends have sat through as grooms to get photos I was shocked at how quick the process was. They were extremely understanding, and flexible enough to solve any problem that arose during the process of getting our photos done. When the ceremony got an influx of funds from a relative of the bride, and the party suddenly doubled in size, they were able to get extra people out there with very little notice to make sure that every magical moment would be captured on film. I really got lucky, my friend thinks I'm a wizard for getting him such great results. I am not planning on tying the knot anytime soon, or maybe ever, but I know exactly whom I would call to hire. If I didn't have my event in a location they could service, I would still call to ask for recommendations, and they seemed more than happy to help any way they possibly could. Even if I just want nice cards for the holidays for my family or birthday shots, I would definitely give them a call. The next time I'm in town I've already planned to see what we can set up to give me a better professional headshot, because I'm tired of the company ones where you look like a statue with bad lighting. And I know I'm not alone in this, I saw plenty of the wedding guests asking for cards and contact information. That's the kind of results that speak for themselves. Have you ever seen the Friends episode where Monica and Chandler try taking professional photos for their engagement announcement? Well, that's literally the experience we had trying to take photos for family group picture. Let me just say that I THOUGHT I could smile, but n o p e, turns out I don't. At least not when I am nervous. But this place literally made us feel like at home. The photographer made jokes and gave us so many useful tips to calm down out nerves and helped us with out body language. Seriously THE best photoshoot my entire family has ever had. Let's just say that my family will be making all of their photoshoots here, without a doubt. The wait to obtain the photos was not bad at all considering the outstanding quality of pictures we obtained. I mean, they offered exactly what we wanted, in size, in quantity and quality for a very reasonable price. After having taken the pictures, they made sure to show us the, what felt like gazillion, pictures, to ensure which ones we would all like to reveal. My sister and mom, being the extremely picky family members, asked for a few photoshop fixes and they were more than content to make sure we obtained exactly and even more than we asked for. The work was so exceptional that my cousin utilized their services for her wedding pictures and portraits. Their pictures are literally works of angels, without any exaggeration intended. I mean, I have seen many many many many wedding photos in my life; almost enough to believe there can not be any possible new and original ideas out there, but her photographer worked magic. My cousin having to be 'original original' requested, yeah, you guessed it, an original never seen before photoshoot. Before the designated date, she got contacted by the film studio with multiple ideas for her to choose for her amazing photoshoot. Using simple words is such an understatement for the awe of work they provided. Their photographer is simply the most amazing, educated, understanding, patient, and creative individual we have ever worked with. ESPECIALLY having to mention that we come from a HUGE family. So there are a lot more pictures than expected. Some of the kids were not behaving the way we expected and we were just told that that is part of the job and simply so so so so so so so so so understanding. They literally even had suggestions in how to grab the kids' attention and how to calm them down for the photos. They just made a nervous situation into such a breeze. The service I got was excellent, and everything I requested in regards to what I wanted at the photo shoot was met. In particular I asked for the photo shoot to be extended by an additional 30 minutes and I was not charged for that. I was also interested in shooting at multiple locations and there is usually a charge for that it was waived for me. We ended up with about 75 photos all of which we got to choose ourselves and we were very happy with it. I highly recommend this company and will return for my wedding. Saiaf and his team are consummate professionals. I got more than I bargained for. I also loved the fact that they included photo prints for me in the album package. These are just fantastic and I used them in some of the frames we got as gifts during the wedding. His rates are very affordable when you take his quality into account. He has the ability to make anyone feel very comfortable in front of the camera. Even though I personally feel great in front of the camera, my husband is on the shy side. After the conversations we had with Saiaf, my husband felt at ease. It was such a great experience! We snapped many photos and had such a great time. During our wedding, Saiaf was able to capture everything perfectly. Almost like a movie. Which by the way, Saiaf is also an astounding videographer. My younger brother recently got married and as best man, I was helping with a lot of the wedding plans, including the photography. We had Saiaf Films hired for the photography/videography and it was a very pleasant and easy experience. They arrived a day prior to the wedding to fill me in on how things should be done and if we had any additional specifics we were interested in. The film crew were like ghosts, they got a lot of really amazing shots without interfering with any of the events. The coolest part for us was the drone video. I didn't even know this was something photographers/videographers did at weddings. It was breathtakingly shot and edited. We were allowed to request video edits which our uncle requested. Showed that this company is adopting to technological change very well and is keeping up with changes in the industry. They had photos from many different angles and styles which let us pick out our favorites and types of photos we liked the most. We were allowed to request to have some photos be left unedited as well since they looked so perfect on their own. Saiaf Films also made it very easy for us to share the photos with our close friends and relatives so that they could help pick out photos too. They offered lots of customization for the album and end results. While we were happy with the edits on the photos, it was very reassuring to know that they would be willing to fix up edits we didn't like at no extra cost. They offered lots of suggestions as we were not the most versed in photography, so they explained everything that we need to know to make the best decisions for the photos. The photos arrived about 3 weeks after we selected the photos that we wanted. I was honestly surprised that the ratings on yelp were so low, I didn't run into any issues working with Saiaf. It originally made me think again before reaching out to them but after talking with them over the phone, I was pretty confident that things would turn out just fine and they did! I would always get a callback the day I called within a few hours. Email would take about a day to get a response. They also had some of the best prices that I could find while looking for wedding photo and film. My brother was very happy with the work and has his best memories engraved thanks to Saiaf Films. I just wanted to say thanks because he has been so happy with the work; he and his wife have like every room stacked with picture frames of photos from the wedding. We are THRILLED with the job Saiaf did for our wedding as both the planners and the photographers! They always responded to our emails immediately and were happy to answer any questions on both ends at once, which helped so much with the organization on the day of because we could have our final meetings with our lead photographer on the same day. For both services, the company sends you a very detailed client form to fill out so you can customize it however you'd like, down to what family members you want in photos or what songs you do/do not want played which is truly amazing!! Photographer was absolutely INCREDIBLE! He took our directions and executed them perfectly, and then added extra on top of that. He made sure we were all on the same page the entire night, down to the smallest detail, and really went the extra mile for us. For example, we asked him to take some specific photos and he actually took the time to research and went an extra mile and told us what to do for the best photos taken , which everyone LOVED and got very into the spirit of the night! He also made sure to do all of our specific requests seamlessly. Saiaf did both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. We are so excited to see how the wedding photos turn out, but our engagement photos were great! Saiaf really took the time to take whatever photos we asked for and the team took care to get photos from different angles throughout the day. We are extremely glad to have found Saiaf for our super amazing (thanks to Saiaf) wedding. If you are looking for artistic, and dramatic wedding photos to capture your wedding day then Saiaf is absolutely the right choice. If this is not enough, read on... DETAILS We submitted our inquiry for their service, and started the long email exchange with them. I say "long email exchange" because we are busy in the day like most people. We had a lot of questions regarding the Saiaf service, as we never used a professional photographer.they were helpful and patient to answer all of our emails. We also scheduled a conference call to discuss details, and had a great conversation with them. Days before the big event, we confirmed the appointment, and when we walked into the place for the party, they found us quickly (I was busy trying to figure out where to go and totally forgot about finding the photographers)...saved again by Saiaf. I was pleasantly surprised at how well he knew where to go for the wedding registration, what a relief! I already forgot to look for them, was nervous and had thousands of thoughts racing in my head. He was very patient and explained everything that we would be doing at the county clerk's office. We had to wait 30 minutes before our time to be called up to the counter, He realized this and made the most of this delay by taking our photos at the hall, this was a pleasant surprise to see that he would be efficient with the time. The ceremony, He, placed our guests at locations that captured everyone but focused on us (bride and groom). I didn't realize it when he orchestrated the arrangement, but when I saw the photos, they were perfect, just PERFECT. The photos captured every emotional moment which allows us to relive that special time (Lets be real, isn't this what you would want in a professional photographer?). Now for the Photos he took in the hall while we were waiting, the photos were spectacular, artistic and creative. He took control, and politely asked other visitors to wait so he could take photos, again, another pleasant surprise which made us feel special. I never thought the natural lighting at the wedding hall would capture such amazing photos, but I believe a lot had to do with him and his keen eye as a professional photographer.
