The deities are sculpted in a South Indian style and you find some of the deities in forms, you don't find in other temples - Pancha mukha Ganesha and pancha mukha Shiva. The main deity Shirdi Sai Baba is placed on the center of the temple and looks regal. The temple seems to be supported well by volunteers and staff and offers free prasad (food offering) generously. The parking space outside is generous and easily accessible from behind India Grocers.

This temple is only about 5 minutes from our home, so we used to go there pretty regularly. I have…read morealways loved the peaceful feeling here, especially during Radha-Krishna darshan and aarti. Being a Vaishnav and growing up with these traditions, aarti time is something very close to my heart. You can just stand there for a few minutes, forget about everything else and feel that peace. Since we live so close, we really wanted our daughter to grow up going to this temple and learning about our culture too. We enrolled her in Sunday school when she was 3, but unfortunately the timing was 6:30-7:30 PM on Sunday. For a 3-year-old, that's pretty much dinner and bedtime, especially when they have school the next morning. We asked a few times if they could consider an earlier time, but unfortunately nothing changed, and eventually we had to take her out. I really wish they would reconsider the timing and listen to parents who have younger kids. I honestly think more children would be able to attend if it was earlier. We want our kids to learn about our religion and culture, but the timing also has to be practical for them. The other thing that slowly made us stop going regularly was that we never really got that warm, welcoming feeling from some of the devotees. Sometimes we just felt like outsiders. There wasn't one particular incident, it was more the overall feeling we got over time. When you have a temple 5 minutes from your house, you hope it becomes a place where your family feels at home and part of the community. It's actually disappointing because we genuinely wanted to be more involved and wanted our daughter to grow up being part of this temple. Between the Sunday school timing and not really feeling that connection with the community, we eventually stopped going as often. But I still have a special place in my heart for the temple itself. Radha-Krishna darshan and aarti here are beautiful, and the peace I feel when I come for darshan is something I truly appreciate. I really hope things become a little more welcoming and the Sunday school timing is reconsidered someday, because we would genuinely love to start coming regularly again. Radhe Radhe.
