I'd never been inside of the school before and was amazed by its size. In trying to get to the auditorium, we had to walk around the entire length of the school. In looking at the size of the school, I was thinking that the actual auditorium would be bigger. It wasn't. The auditorium at my school was much bigger. We were lucky enough to have two auditoriums, one big and one small, and I think this one was about in the middle of the two in terms of size. I know there's a balcony area, but the part that's on ground level is teeny! The stage seems to be okay in size, but doesn't really seem like it has been updated in a long while. The seats are painful to sit in for very long, and I'll admit, I've got a nice amount of padding on my caboose to ease the discomfort. But yet, after sitting a few minutes in those hard seats, I wonder how the kids at the school can bear it. I was able to take a peek around the school as we walked around, and I'm under the impression it is in need of a makeover as well. Paint, to start with.

Be sure to FOIA you school bus videos every once in awhile to see how your own child acts as well as others. I've never heard a child talk with such vulgar language at such a young age. My child was jumped 4 times for the 20 min bus ride!!! Bus driver didn't see it. The super and principal had a meeting of which I reordered with permission. They said if my child ever felt unsafe to raise her hand and she could spend the rest of the day in the principals office. It took alot to get a monitor on the bus, even then with them having the school bully sit in front of her to the point she would cry and be terrified to be on a bus she was homeschooled. The staff lies straight to the parents faces. They do upgrades on the schools but only for staff areas not for student areas. They had "square fans" one per room, flys all over bathroom areas smelt rotten, as well as their "portable fan"... "it stays in the lunch room so they can cool off picking up lunch". They stated it would be moved room to room. They do not cancel school or call home when your child is having heat stroke or has to be carried to the nurses office for immediate care. As someone certified I was appalled. They got so upset with my FOIA requests that they started using my initials only. They will bad talk parents for showing up to meetings with concerns. Beware. They do not care about your opinions. Take care of your babies as it only gets worse with stbbings in middle school and no expulsion. Everyone passes. I support the teachers as they put up with alot. With no help from the board or the principals or super. Wego has one of the highest homeschooling groups around. Free and very involved. Reach out to your community and you will find out. Even teachers that work there homeschool their own children. Keep your children safe and stay aware of what is happening inside the school and on buses for their safety.

I have to say, as well as my nephew is doing, I have to say, they must be doing something right. I visited the school for my nephews graduation ceremony and the will say that the ceremony was wonderful. It went smooth and wonderful between the acknowledgements and diploma distribution. The auditorium was comfortable and environmentally controlled. With all the people that were there, it wasnt muggy or hot in the least bit. The paintings each eighth grader made was a wonderful touch, you can really tell they are organized and time was taken to make it memorable. Each family was given 6 tickets for family. My comparison, well, we received only 4 tickets and regardless, it was standing room only with MANY parents having to stand outside since there was NO ROOM. We managed to squeeze in between some folks in the bleachers designated for staff and limited folding chairs for the rest. Terrible. There was no band, no gowns, no paintings or any fanfare of any time and this is disappointing for a school located in Glen Ellyn; an affluent community. Good school and with the funds/staff to get things done right and organized the way a truly professionally run school should be.
