I didn't know if it was even salvageable; to my surprise, Tim whisked it away into his shop and returned 20 minutes later with my repaired coal scuttle! I was so happy it was usable again and when I asked for an invoice, Tim insisted there was no charge! I'm so grateful for his generous kindness. He really cared and wanted to help. My sentimental coal scuttle is usable again!

One of them was apparently in training, and I'm not certain it was him, but perhaps it's not a great idea to make the comment about them not needing to be certified like other companies (not mentioned) do. LOL Personally I don't care as long as it's done right. A lot of "certifications" are to feed the money wheel anyhow and someone can be just as good or even better not having it. I've dealt with this company in Coeur d'Alene before also for rock chip repairs and was just as pleased!

Full well knowing exactly what I wanted without test driving. When I got there Sean encouraged me to do a test drive just to be sure because he wanted me to be sure I drove away without regret and happy. it wasnt your typical car sales experience, he wasn't pushy didn't try to upsell and really truly wanted to make sure I had the best experience. Paul and Tim had everything ready for me to sign by the time I got there and it was the most professional and easy car buying experience. They went above and beyond getting me INCREDIBLE rates and weren't the typical push to upgrade. They listened to my wants and needs and my limits. Check engine light was flashing in my truck at the start of my 75 mile commute home. I managed to…read moreget the truck up the hill, and called Ponderay Autocare the following morning. They were pretty stacked, so it was a few days before I could drop it off. In the end, I was quoted about $1,500 to replace the intake manifold, spark plugs and attendant wires. The repair took 24-36 hours to get the truck back, and just in time: It is our only 4wd vehicle and there was a big snow storm on the way. Well, a week later, I'm making the exact same 75 mile drive home and sure enough, the truck starts exhibiting the same symptoms for which I'd brought it in; engine misfiring, and check engine light flashing. I brought it back the following morning, and though it was another day or so before they could look at it, it turned out to be a bad spark plug wire and there was no charge for the repeat service. It has been running beautifully since. On the whole, communications here can be clipped and terse, but it also means no nonsense, and I've detected no underlying dishonesty from anyone here. They're very straight up, and very busy, which I consider good things for a mechanic shop. The business itself is pretty small, with two garage bays and a small, closet sized office. Parking can be a little tricky, and unless you know what you're looking for, the business can be a little tricky to spot the first time around. They're very close to the Hoot Owl Cafe, which is about a 5-10 minute walk down the highway, so you can at least grab some quality grub if you're waiting for diagnosis or repair. I live all the way up in the Naples/Bonners Ferry area, but if I've got vehicle trouble again, I'm driving the extra miles to bring it here.

Bob said his only mechanic was out on a tow job & he would get back to me on Weds. with a quote. GBob didn't call on Weds. so I called him on Thurs. Dec. 18, 25. I asked if he had put a quote together for me & it sounded like he was looking thru some papers & just to make small talk I told him if Pro Auto didn't have time to repair my truck to just say so, & I'd look elsewhere. Bob imediatly snapped back at me & said, " "I tell you what, how about you go fuck yourself", & he hung up. I've been getting tows & bringing my vehicles to Pro Auto for repairs for the past 10 years & I didn't say anything to Bob to deserve to be insulted like that.
