Brandi is super, super friendly and very skilled in what she does. She'll be honest about how things look instead of just agreeing to whatever, which I 110% appreciate. My first visit, I chopped off quite a bit of hair. Need change sometimes! I showed her a couple of pictures I found and, although they were pathetically small, she understood what I wanted and improved on it! I loved my hair - it was also a great bonus that she thinned it out for the hot summer months. My hair is THICK. My second visit was a bit more drastic. I've been fiending for a color in my hair for quite some time - box red wasn't cutting it anymore. I waited a couple of months after my box dye and sprang right in here on a Saturday. (I got really, really lucky with a same-day appointment. Call ahead!) While since then I've had to change my hair due to a career change, I wish I could go back to it and would 100% recommend Brandi for anyone else wanting to do anything like that as well.

I love that Cheyenne is so versatile and can accommodate curly and straight hair as she does all of our families hair cut/color needs. The staff is always in good spirits and seem to get along great! Very upbeat and good vibes. But, I will say to steer clear of a nail tech named Samantha. She used to do me and my girls nails and over time the craftsmanship became worse and worse, which is odd because most people get better as time goes on. I asked her to do a manicure and gel nail polish ONLY on my girls nails then found out she was putting gel overlay, so in essence she did something that I strictly forbid on my kids nails. My nails would peel off even before I left the salon, they were lumpy and bumpy and for the money was paying she/ her work is not worth it. She took 2 - 2 1/2 hours just to do a simple fill as well as 2 hours each doing kids nails. She would not accommodate any appointments earlier than 12noon which sometimes made it difficult to get in with her. She spoke poorly of other customers while doing my nails and told me about other customers business.... Highly inappropriate. She would literally get up in the middle of doing my girls nails to heat up food and then eat as she was in the middle of doing their nails..... again highly inappropriate. So ultimately I had to switch to someone else as I had no longer the time to have her spend 2+ hours then have to come back within days to spend more of my time getting them fixed. I want Samantha to know that when you speak poorly of people in a salon they will always find out, so it's best to stay professional and act like you have some business sense. I will continue going to this salon thanks to the efforts and professionalism of all the other staff that stood up where Samantha fell short.

The tech spent most of the time complaining to me that I should go more often, and she nicked my skin (deeply) on one toe, and even though she cleaned it and put antiseptic on it (and I did again when I got home), it got infected and took several weeks to heal. Additionally, they were doing construction while I was there, and the loud banging made it difficult to relax. I only get my nails done a couple of times a year. If I went often, I might be willing to give them another try. But since this is a rare "treat" for me, and the last visit was no treat, I won't be going back.

This weekend, I came in for a 90-minute facial and let me tell ya - it was 90 minutes of bliss and relaxation! My skin feels great and all of the products the esthetician used on me felt refreshing. It had been a few years since I had any kind of professional skin care and I enjoyed this so much I plan on making it a regular thing. The front desk staff were helpful and there are several Aveda products for sale in the lobby. The salon is very centrally located with close freeway access and lots of parking, there are several shops and restaurants right outside the salon doors so plan to make a day of it.

Not so great. I wish I was told to wash my extensions before coming in that way I would have fresh clean extensions put back in. I was told my hair would be washed I figured my extensions in my head would too? But that wasn't the case. Also because my hair was crimped and when re installed and tried to curl the hair It looked a hot mess. My hair wasn't washed properly my scalp had a ton of glue in it still when it was being blow dried. The appointment was actually for my girlfriend Jessie. I did some research on line and the reviews were very nice and recent. I inquired about some of the stylist I had read about but Jim informed me those people were booked but yet? He commented that all his staff were all good stylists and that me too would be posting good reviews !! So we drove to Henderson and met with a very nice person Drea who actually greeted us in a very enthusiastic way. Of course she spent some time with Jessie discussing her needs and options plus suggestions for further enhancing the finished look? Drea was very methodical and very clearly with lots of skill and experience . She initiated the process with a very nice hair trim , followed by shampooing and then proceeded to actually create all these different highlights that were then wrapped in aluminum foil . This process was time consuming but at the end it really resulted in Jessie having an awesome hair masterpiece if I can call it that ? Jessie is still very happy with the work and I'm sure she's just become a regular client at Dushons Salon. Drea really made her feel at ease and her expertise really showed with Jessie's hair style.
