Beautiful, interesting delicious. Companion is gluten free. Very accommodating. Started with mussels cooked in coconut milk and leek and spinach soup. Main course special with haddock and lobster on couscous.

Wow!! How lucky were we to find this place and it was right across from our Air BnB. Along with great food, we had the best service from Patricia. She was lovely and really enhanced our dining experience. In our party we had the Lamb, Ribeye, Cod and Surf and Turf along with the Oysters and the Aran Island Goat cheese. Amazing all the way around. We had dessert but I would probably skip as not a big fan of the pannacotta and the chocolate mousse. I also have a problem with a restaurant saying that the wine they are charging 39 euro for is a 2014 when in fact it was a 2017 - there should be a reduction in price. Other than that , Patricia was the best and we really enjoyed our meal. Would definitely recommend and return.

The cozy ambience is so welcoming!

Sage you took our breath away! Such a surprise to find this 100% neighborhood Gem in the tiny town of Westport in north western Ireland. It was so fantastic, that we dined here both nights of our two night stay! It's such a cozy ambience and you must have a reservation as they only serve dinner and the dining room is small. The menu features local specialty foraged produce and sustainable seafood and meats. It is seasonal and changes as to what is in season and available. Everything is fresh beyond belief and so very creative. Such a talented chef! They have A varied menu with offerings for gluten-free and vegetarian diets. Both nights we started with appetizers, followed by a delicious soup. We had one of the best salads and beautifully constructed I might add that I have ever eaten, it was a delicate layering of baby lettuces, goat cheese, nuts, berries, Parmesan crisps, herbs, edible fresh flowers and a hard boiled quails egg...amazing! We also had a wonderful seafood linguine, their fish special (Turbot) and a lamb entree. The featured pink Gin elderberry Gin & Tonic cocktail with fresh berries was outstanding! They also have a great wine list with some stars from Croatia I think, that our knowledgeable waiter suggested by the glass and they were so good and paired beautifully with our meals. Everything we tried was 5 stars!

Sage was such a lucky find for us ! We had no idea this place was here or that it would be so good. The plating and flavors attention to detail was on point ! Highly recommend

Great service. Lovely layout and furniture and decor. Nice and relaxed. Got a recommendation to try the early bird and it did not disappoint! We had the mussels and calamari rings for starters and the lamb and haddock special for mains. The taster breads and dips that are brought out before the starters are divine. I love when restaurants bring out an amazing taster. Really gets me excited for the starter and main course and sets the high bar for the night. If a restaurant can produce an impressive taster, it shows that they're really serious about making sure the customer has the best of experiences.

Amazing! We were not totally sure of ourselves when we selected this restaurant for our "early bird" dinner, but it did not disappoint! I highly recommend Sage for dinner in Westport!! I ordered the Aubergine Parmegianna (eggplant Parmesan) and my SO had the pork belly plate. Everything was super delicious! I will post pictures, but please note, the servings are bigger than they look. We left the place stuffed to the gills! We had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc each and started our meal with the complementary bread plate, calamari, and mussels... It was all so perfect! For any of those passing through, be sure to make a stop at Sage. It gets packed quickly, so try to get a seat as early as possible! We walked in at 5:28pm!

Outstanding restaurant. Great location in the city centre. Amazing menu with local ingredients. Food was absolutely beautiful, incredibly well cooked and well presented. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed every minute and hopefully will be back soon. Thank you

Love this individual, unique, different restaurant. Yes it is Italian but the food is lovely and not your typical Italian restaurant.

There are real cooks here who know how to cook. The surprising thing for us was we didn't even know the harbour existed let alone the Towers restaurant. We only learned this in the local town hall when we went in on Monday to buy tickets for their swing night on the Friday. The staffer originally from Belfast was a great tourism ambassador. On our first night at this place I opted for linguine. I kept it light and vegetarian. My wife opted for cod & chips with mushy peas & tartare sauce. Boyso, the biggest piece of fried fish we've ever been served. It was delicious and I got a piece. The mushy peas were excellent too. There were two problems that need some re work though; the fish batter was a good beer batter. It was crispy thin delicious on serving, but sadly it didn't stay crisp for the time it took to eat the cod. The skin on chips should also have been cooked a bit longer. On another night, my wife opted for their chicken tikka masala, which she liked (good 3 star). I had seafood chowder with a dense delightful brown bread, served with butter and 6 Clew Bay oysters served with a raspberry vinaigrette. I do prefer plain fresh lemon, white pepper and red Tabasco. I'd put the chowder 5 star and the oysters 3 to 4 star. The oysters are priced top end - I wouldn't buy them again. On yet another night my wife had their sirloin steak (€28.5) with all the fixings and the steak and pepper sauce were really top notch. The skin on chips were done perfectly that night. I didn't manage to eat it all while to batter was crispy. We had excellent coffees two nights and truly delicious espresso martinis on our last night. The view outside was wild beauty; stunning. We would go back in a heart beat. They should address the poor to non existent WiFi. Seems if the weather is poor so is the WiFi. It's the west of Ireland folks so the risk of poor weather is September thru March annually. Yes I know when folks are dining they shouldn't be going on line but it's as essential as serving great food.

It was our first stop on a whirlwind week in Ireland and it's truly what you picture the word "inn" to mean. Small, cozy, somewhat off the beaten path, and just lovely. We had our first Guinness of the week there in the front pub with a cheerful fireplace and seemingly several locals bellied up (always a good sign in my opinion). Daniel (one of the managers) became an instant friend. He continued to give us GREAT recs for our short stay, even so much as writing them down on a napkin for me. Owner John Nevin greeted us each day with a smile and a story. The included breakfast is yummy and the dinner we had one night was amazing. It's also directly across the street from access to Clew Bay where we took a lovely hike along the water and sheep farms. It is located for easy access for a day trip to Achill Island (DO NOT MISS THIS). The price is right and accommodations more than satisfactory. We just loved it!
