I was planning the wedding from California (and am not from Colorado originally) and I had one chance to test out hair and makeup vendors. I wanted to stick with local vendors and needless to say, there were not many options around the area. I tested out one other and settled on Fraser Hair Company. I'm an options kinda gal so choosing from only two vendors made me really nervous. Being Asian, I was really worried that I wouldn't be able to find someone who would be able to handle Asian hair well, but I was completely wrong. What I loved about working with Ilizabeth was that she was completely honest with me about what she thought would look good in my hair. She can be a little more gruff than others you might work with but she knows her stuff! I had originally wanted a French braid bun but she told me she thought it would get lost in my dark hair. We went with a different style and I LOVED it! I'm also not a makeup person (I don't even know how to put on makeup and I own 2 lipsticks) and didn't want anything too heavy the day of. The makeup looked natural and was absolutely perfect. On top of that, she and Jackie were incredibly fast. I was nervous because they had booked another wedding the same day but they handled me and 5 other people in my party in less than 2.5 hours and everyone's hair held the whole night. I First didn't want to wear a mask while getting my haircut, then it was the anxiety of not trusting anyone to cut my hair anymore. We've stopped through CO for a few weeks. Long enough to read some reviews & suck it up. Glad I did. The salon was able to fit me in (wedding season), very accommodating. After getting a couple of text reminders through the week, Camilla even called the day of, with an opening from a cancellation. Nice. Unfortunately couldn't take it - meetings . When I arrived, she was ready, no waiting, clean station, bright smile and good conversation. This will remain a 5 star review, but one suggestion, longer, deeper scalp massage at the wash bowl. That's what I've been looking forward to for 16 months & it just wasn't meant to be. The hair cut made up for it. 3" taken off, perfect length, even (that's important ) & not over styled. I'd like to think she saw my simple personality & new I didn't want bouffant. When we came back through, I'll plan another haircut with Camilla. If she's not there, I will have to pack up our RV and go to her

My hair was down almost to my lower back and very thick. I asked for long layers and a few inches off..3 to 5 inches to be exact. It took an hour and a half and I didn't notice until she blow dried it ..how short it was. It is above my shoulders now. I've been crying since she was done. I didn't even let her finish styling it because I was so upset. I will never go there again for anything. Super unsatisfied and feel let down.

I actually got sick over the weekend, and when I called on a Sunday to let them know I couldn't come in, to my surprise, they answered. So I guess they're open on the weekend! Anyway, they were super nice about the reschedule, so I moved my appointment back, and was paired with Kate. I didn't really even know what I didn't like about it, but after I showed Kate photos of haircuts I've had in the past that I loved, she picked up on the fact that I had some brighter highlights and that my hair had been a bit blonder. The other stylist also had not put highlights on the back of my head, so that was really dark compared to the front. I described how my hair had been cut in the past in long layers, and sure enough, the previous stylist had cut the layers backwards (longer on the top layers so it didn't lay right). She got to work on it, and I'm really happy to say that it came out awesome. I'm very loyal with my stylists, even coordinating trips back to Austin to get my hair cut for two years after we moved to Summit County, but I just hadn't taken the step of finding someone here. The massage was top notch, and the room has a tub. The room also has its own bathroom. Love the fireplaces throughout the building. Multiple nooks and comfy homey corners to sit in and relax after the treatment. There are 3 levels. There's a hop on the ground level. Women's locker room is also on the ground level. Men's seems to be in the basement. They also have men's and women's lounges, as well as lounges where everyone can go. Upon walking in they have a wall of shoe racks for you to put your shoes and change into their slippers. I love this arrangement. It makes the whole spa experience feel homey. They also have thoughtful bulletin boards of "Girls of the Ranch" in the changing room. Girl power! We'd love to come back after the crisis and when everything's open (yoga, hot tub, and all).
