AVOID BREEZY MEADOWS!…read more Like Jeff C. and several of the filtered reviews, I had a horrible experience with Breezy Meadows. I brought my horse over on Friday, February 2nd, 2024. I started having problems by the second day in. They barely put any shavings in the stalls... not even enough to soak up the urine or to cover the floor. They only sprinkle in a little bit of fresh shavings every 3-4 days, which is unsanitary. I spoke with Brittany Burzynski several times requesting extra shavings. I wanted thick and cushy shavings in the stall. She told me it would be an extra $80. I confirmed that I would pay this. There were still no shavings in the stall after a week and multiple conversations about this problem. My horse was standing in urine!!! So I was in a rush to find another facility for my baby. Luckily, I found an amazing barn that was able to squeeze her in in a rush, since the conditions were really bad where she was currently at. I moved her out on the 16th (Exactly 2 weeks from when she was brought to Breezy.) I gave my 30 days notice and paid the additional two weeks in March, which was required when I gave my 30 day notice, and I ate the 2 additional weeks in February. I just wanted her out of there. While moving her out, Tyler Burzynski was extremely aggressive. He handed me my contract after I told him I already have a copy. Then he started yelling at me and recording me with his phone telling me that this is his property and I need to leave. Which I was in the process of doing since I was getting in my car with all of my things before he started making a scene. I asked him why he's recording me because he's the one causing a scene in front of all of his customers, and he proceeded to yell at me. So I got my car and left. He recorded me driving down the street which is completely stupid he was the one causing a problem. Also, paid an additional $100 for Orchard hay since they only feed alfalfa. I asked for the additional hay that I paid for when I was leaving, because I paid for a month of hay, and I was only there for for two weeks. Tyler got in my face and said that I'm not getting my hay and then I need to leave his property (which they rent from the owner of the house.) This complete BS since I paid for it. Tyler took it upon himself to block the entrance to the stable with his truck and trailer, so that we had to bring my horse into the street to load her. They really do not care about the safety of the horses. On another note, Brittney Burzynski advised me for the first month at the barn to start with half training to ease my Mare in. I agreed to this. Half training is $450 for three days of training per week. Full training is $700 for five days of training per week. After I gave my notice, I was told that she LUNGED her 3 times... and since I never signed a training contract which I was never told to sign, I need to pay her for lessons at $65 an hour ($195) The ONLY reason I paid this is because I was trying to get get my horse out safely, without having any problems. Welp, that didn't happen. AVOID BREEZY MEADOWS!!! I've worked with many different trainers…read moreall over the country in a number of different disciplines, competing at the national level, and Diane is hands down the best trainer I have ever worked with. I initially found Diane when I wanted to learn to jump for the collegiate equestrian team. She teaches jumping from a dressage point of view, so the rider learns how to be secure in their seat and communication with the horse, as opposed to just going along for the ride. In two summers I went from never jumping in my life to being able to safely jump 4 ft. fences and be comfortable on almost any horse. I am now riding dressage with Diane and I have learned more in a few years riding with her than I have in over a decade with other trainers. Her teaching style is very straightforward and honest, and she knows when to push forward, when to change tactics, and when to step back, which is so rare in any type of instruction. Diane is truly a world class instructor and trainer, if you are looking for a place to ride don't hesitate to call her!

Today I can do not only that but also have confidence that I can control the horse with my seat and built a strong foundation of knowledge all around the sport. Diane is a fantastic teacher and take her time to explain the reasons behind everything that she teach. You get to groom the horse every class, which makes you connect to the animal on another level. All animals are kept is best shape and conditions. I always feel like home when I go to my classes. Highly recommend! I met some of their young students and was amazing by level of confidence that the kids build with Diane's help. She also works with kids that have disabilities and they all achieve amazing results!

I came…read moreacross Patrick's info through a post on one of the local equestrian's FB pages earlier this year when I was looking for a horse to lease. I met with Patrick & Casey on my first visit. For starters, they were extremely knowledgeable about everything horse related. That aside, they were insanely warm and genuinely receptive. My 9 yo daughter started taking lessons with Casey and has learned so much. She's extremely patient but just thorough enough to keep my kid's attention. She knows her stuff, there's no question about that, and keeps her engaged while soaking it all in. Patrick is just as talented and has helped me get over a big hump which was my recently developed and thoroughly annoying fear I had after taking a pretty huge fall off a giant thoroughbred a few months prior. The experience had left the entire half of my body black and blue from impact (in addition to rolling 5 times like a lifeless rag doll..lol). My confidence had shriveled up into something unrecognizable. I had ridden horses my whole life starting when I was 8 and had always been pretty fearless. Needless to say, it was frustrating to say the least. I'm happy to say, he was triumphant at getting me through it! I was able to reach a mentally sound place by working seamlessly through it on one of their beautiful warmbloods, "Moose". By the end of my first lesson, I was confidently cantering again in stride with perfect leg yields. (Thank you Patrick!:) I seriously have nothing but great to say about these guys. As far as the facility goes, This place is sublime. It's so ridiculously peaceful and scenic here. It's truly amazing to see all the horses... just be...well horses, roaming naturally with the other horses in their specifically assigned pastures. The horses look genuinely happy and content. It never occurred to me that there was any other way to keep a horse other than being pent up in solitude in a compact X' by X' stall for most of the day. That is of course unless you have the fortunate enough to reside on a farm with lots of acres behind it to put them in. Which honestly, who around here really does? A+++ fyi- I find the negative 'review' that "Leah G." left, interestingly and hilariously ironic, especially since she literally refused to refund me the $350 dollars I paid her in advance for a package set of lessons right before she skipped town last July with absolutely no notice. I seriously considered filing a case with small claims, bc I'm a single mom and try hard to keep everything on a tight budget in order token our heads above water. I decided it wasn't worth the time and energy for the amount lost. It still stung and shocked me that someone would do that. So to see her on here attempting to give this place of all places, a bad name.. Clearly, by her own words she's incredibly unstable . Proceed with caution doing any kind of business with Leah Green. My daughter started out at another local barn that has a…read moregreat reputation but the ponies were dirty and unkempt and the teachers proved to be flaky with the schedule. Contrast that with Elvenstar where the ponies are always clean and ready to go and the instructors very rarely miss a lesson. Also, in contrast to our first barn, there are a ton of young girls at Elvenstar for my daughter to make friends with and to ride with. She's made a couple great friends there. I'm glad we found Elvenstar. We're on our third leased pony in ~3 years because KK's skills are improving quickly and she's growing! The skill increase is a direct result of time in the saddle and KK's willingness to listen to and learn from Elvenstar's professional team. Barns, like horses, have personalities so Elvenstar may not be right for everyone. But it's been right for us for about three years and I can absolutely see it being our barn for many years to come.
