Randy Cano has been training equestrians and their horses for decades in the LA area, and for the past 25 years in Chatsworth, CA.

Randy Cano is a true professional and works with all levels of riders from beginners to advanced, to high-level competitors. Whatever your desire, there's no other place like his picturesque barn facilities in beautiful Chatsworth with access from 118 & 101 freeways. If you just want to learn to ride, or want someone to coach you all the way to the "A" circuit, he's the trainer for you! And, he's got quite the eye for the most elegant hunters and jumpers, both domestic and European. Highly recommend.

We conducted extensive research (over a three year's worth of referrals, articles, friends, family…read moreand online research) and discovered Doodles Los Angeles. Daniel contacted us and asked very specific questions about the Goldendoodle we were looking for. Daniel's expertise allowed us to figure out exactly what we wanted. Daniel maintained communication with us and answered all our questions (there were MANY questions). Daniel gained our trust and we decided to "Reserve" one of their beautiful Goldendoodles. There was no pressure to purchase this specific Goldendoodle. That made us very comfortable meeting this Goldendoodle. Once we met this Goldendoodle, we were convinced he was well cared for, healthy and came from a loving home and environment. This was important for us. We instantly fell in love with Maui and decided on the spot he was a great addition to our family. Maui has adapted well to his new home. This is greatly due to him being socialized and partially potty and crate trained. It's helped out tremendously!! It was a great experience adopting Maui from Doodles Los Angeles! They will certainly get referrals from us!

Miri was extremely organized and informative on the hand off. I appreciate everything they do to help set up their pups for a good home. We picked up 8-week old Gryff, followed the information given to us, and took advantage of the insurance and trainer deals, all of which made for a very seamless welcoming experience for him. After the loss of our last golden doodle, we are so grateful to be able to have another bundle of joy in our home. Thank you Doodles LA!

After my companion pup of 12 years passed away, I knew I wanted another pup in our lives. After doing research on different types of breeds I fell in love with the miniature Goldendoodle breed. Little did I know that during Covid everyone wanted to adopt a new puppy! Every breeder in California had long waitlists of over a year! I did find breeders out of state but I did not find the idea of shipping a new puppy ideal. I wanted a local breeder with experience whom I can see face to face. Luckily in my exhaustive search I found Tropico Kennels! Lisa was the only breeder I found that had availability and that did not require for me to sign up for a lengthy waitlist and submit a deposit before the puppy was born. I found it ludicrous to pay a large deposit having no idea what the puppy will even look like! I kept checking the website regularly to see when new pups were being born. The website has a lot of useful and valuable information about the process of adopting and welcoming a new Goldendoodle puppy. Once pictures were posted online of the newborn pup I was interested in, I submitted my interest form. Lisa contacted me right away and I paid my deposit. Lisa worked with me in regards of accepted payment forms for deposit and I found her to be very knowledgeable and friendly. The website provided all the details I needed : I knew exactly when my pup would come home, expected weight, parent info, type (F1B, F1BB etc), shedding info, and the pictures of the newborn puppies. I do wish I had more communication from Lisa in terms of pictures and details as the puppy was growing (I was obsessed) but I knew she was busy and in the end I got my perfect dream puppy. When it was time to pick up my baby, I drove to Lisa's beautiful ranch and her husband was friendly and nice when delivering the dog to me. All in all I would recommend this breeder for anyone looking for a gorgeous Goldendoodle pup!

I decide to call and a older woman picks up I say hello good morning, who do I have the pleasure in speaking with? (I ask who it is I'm speaking with so that I can properly greet her ) she responds rudely& with an attitude "well you called me so you should know who I am" I say oh ok I do apologize but am I calling to Tropico kennels? She says yea. And then goes off on a rant that she doesn't answer her person phone often because she receives calls of people always trying to buy her house or sell her stupid shit. I said oh ok I understand but that was very unprofessional of you, I do not wish to purchase a dog off a business who doesn't know how to be professional or answer a phone call like a decent human being. So I then hung up. I would never speak to anyone that way regardless of the circumstances. Learn to be respectful and polite. Completely put me off and definitely will NOT EVER be buying a dog from this place. I'm editing my review because after a couple minutes my mom said she wanted to try and call to get information about the dogs. Because again my mom is interested in buying a puppy. So my mom calls says hello good morning I was wanting to get some information about the golden doodle puppies you might have. the same woman answers and says oh ok sure but can I call you back in a couple of minutes? My mom said sure not a problem and then the woman hung up. LITERALLY 1 minute goes by and I receive a message from this woman (I have attached a photo of the message) saying nice try! I did reply and then blocked her. Never in my life have I ever had an encounter like this. The woman then proceeds to call my mom back (I have attached a photo of the phone call as well that she called back) (as you can see she called back & the call lasted 14sec bc she was a COWARD & hung up) and say to her that she is not going to sell us any dog because I called and hung up on her, and that she should tell her daughter to not be a bitch. The woman proceeds to hang up. So I blocked her on both my mother & I's phone. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE! We were only wanting information about the puppies! Which is why my mom insisted on her trying to call because she really wants a puppy. HORRIBLE experience!

The adoption process was smooth, transparent, and stress-free, and she was very accommodating throughout. A wonderful bonus was the complimentary 30-day emergency pet insurance coverage. A couple hours later, dead. 4 days later, another sparrow, the same thing. We left it alone, but kept an eye on it and called Animal Control, which directed(via automated system) to WVAS. I called and after a hold of about 10 minutes, an officer answered & I explained our concern. She told me we are welcome to bring any injured or wild animal we can safely gather and bring in 24/7. She suggested boxing the bird and bringing it in. We did. 15 minutes later, walking in and seeing the same officer I spoke with. Another employee took the box and went straight to the on-sight vet. While she input our name, address & contact #, I mentioned again that this was the 2nd bird in a few days and asked if we should be concerned or notify anyone else. She said no, the vet will see if they can do anything, if it survives it goes to a bird rehab facility for further monitoring, then eventual release. If it doesn't get better, not, then it's euthanized. I was wondering if the bird gets a autopsy to see what killed it. She said no. She then generated an impound code, in case we wanted to check for updates. We thanked her and left, feeling bad for the bird. When we got home - ANOTHER BIRD! This one in our driveway, just staring at our stucco wall. Grabbed a box & gloves, and back to the shelter we went. When we came in this time, she wasn't there, but the other worker who took the first bird back to the vet was. He took the box and away he went again. He returned to update our intake for the 2nd bird. He then told us that the first bird had died and it looked like the 2nd one was now dead. We again voiced our concern that now 3 birds within 4 days were found in very poor condition. Since we don't work in this field, we asked if this is a concern for them. He just stared at the motor and shook his head 'no,' then said he had all the info they needed and the impound code would be the same. We left hoping to not have to go back and we still don't know why this happened. As of today, no further birds found. We also haven't seen any alerts about bird diseases in our area, which is information the LA County Dept. of Health monitors and shares via their website, but it's good to know that we have this facility in the SFV where we can take a wild animal we may find injured or in poor health. After hours, there is a door bell to the right of the main entrance. Someone is always there to accept animals. Cheers! "CC"

My experience at West Valley Animal Shelter was extremely disappointing…read more On July 28, 2026, I accompanied a couple who had driven approximately 4 hours to adopt a kitten that had recently been removed from the euthanasia list. I was there as a representative of Purrrfect Rescues (a nonprofit) to help coordinate transportation and assist with the adoption process. Unfortunately, the experience quickly became frustrating. An employee named "Delfina" began yelling at me Becuase she wanted to speak with the adopters privately, instead of asking me to give them a moment she decided to escalate the situation and yell at me,I was excluded from the adoption conversation despite being involved in coordinating the adoption, leaving me without important information about changes to the plan. Communication from staff was inconsistent, and the adopters were later told they would need to make an additional round trip to pick up the kitten because he was under the required weight for neutering, then return again once he reached 2 pounds. This was different from what we had initially understood and created unnecessary inconvenience for a family that had already traveled several hours. The staff member we interacted with, Delfina, was discourteous and unprofessional throughout all interactions. Afterward, I learned she allegedly made comments about me to the adopters rather than addressing any concerns with me directly. The overall experience left the adopters feeling so uncomfortable that they ultimately decided not to proceed with the adoption! To make matters worse, when I asked for a supervisor's contact information so I could voice my concerns, I was refused direct contact information and was given a phone number and email address that did not work. I was also told a supervisor would be available the next day, only to later be told that was not the case. I appreciate the difficult work that animal shelter VOLUNTEERS do every day, and I am grateful that this kitten was removed from the euthanasia list. However, saving animals doesn't end there. Shelters should also make the adoption process welcoming, transparent, and supportive for responsible adopters. In this case, the process became unnecessarily complicated, and a kitten ultimately lost what could have been a loving home. I sincerely hope management reviews this incident and takes steps to improve communication, professionalism, and customer service so future adopters and rescue partners have a better experience.

Choosing Marti was easily the best choice I could have ever made and I am forever a client of Marti's. I will never look elsewhere when adopting my next Havanese (or a breed that isn't a Havanese, for that matter). I adopted Cookie, formally Cartier, from the "C" litter. From our first phone call in Fall 2024, Marti was attentive to the details of my life and what kind of puppy temperament would be best fit for my lifestyle. She is kind, SO communicative, and the most detail-oriented, loving, and caring person/breeder. Seeing how loved these puppies are far before they are even born was constant reassurance that I made the best choice. I would receive multiple texts/pictures/videos a day when Cookie was born. So anxious and excited to get my puppy, Marti answered all of my questions and was always so reassuring and kind. Cookie came to me loving her crate (this was a game changer), being exposed to so many sights and sounds (her groomer says she is better behaved than adult dogs she's been grooming for years ), and is the epitome of a perfect puppy and I truly owe it all to Marti because she set Cookie (and the rest of her litter) up for complete success. Everyone in my life is so surprised when they hear how young Cookie is because she is truly so well behaved, has a great sense of independence, and loves to just hang with our crew. Thank you to Marti and Gracie for loving these puppies with your whole heart. You both feel like family and I cannot express my gratitude for how you raised little Cookie.

I wanted a female and there was 1 male & 1 female left. All the other puppies from the litter were spoken for. I quickly fell in love with Roxie and gave my deposit that night. I had to wait another month until the puppies were old enough to go to their new homes. Marty updated me with photos of my puppy and she also provided me important paperwork to look review. The entire process was very easy. The home where the puppies were living was very clean and orderly. Marti truly has the puppies, best interest and was so sweet and caring and accommodating to me. I had asked if she could keep the puppy for one more week because of my busy work schedule, and she was more than happy to do that. I have never purchased a dog before, but this process was very easy. My puppy is absolutely precious and everybody that meets her is obsessed with her. She is an absolute delight, and very well-behaved. I might add. I highly recommend Harris Havenese if you are thinking about getting a Havanese puppy. Marti made it very clear that she's available for any questions or concerns that I might have. She is very well educated on this breed and I had full confidence in her from the moment I spoke to her on the phone.

We weren't allowed to see the parents for whatever reason and only saw one other puppy in the home. Then, upon inception of our puppy, the day we picked up they said it sounded like he was getting a 'cold' and sent us with antibiotics, well, he has sounded the same for 10 months now. Digestive, airway, and more since the start and I know Frenchies are prone to this. I believe breeders develop relationships with Vet Doctors to just write clean bills of health when they are in fact not healthy. We should have listened to our gut after spending more than 6k. However, I felt like I saved our puppy. After our return to Canada, we also came to note next day, a flea INFESTATION! Not a few fleas, multiple baths and combing. I did reach out to the breeders and made them aware and they simply stated that it was odd and no other dogs had this and possibly from the dirt areas. How does an infestation not reach other dogs, I call BS. They sent me a small amount of money to purchase flea shampoo, completely laughable. This is just a buyers beware. I have made them aware and am not asking for anything in return but to acknowledge their breeding practices. & a 1 star review is higher than I would give this experience.
