I lived at Sagamore for over a year and recently moved out. Laura (the manager) is really helpful, upfront and responds to matters quickly. Moreover, living here is not like living in big apartment complexes - here you have a personal touch. I had a very maintenance requests, while I lived here and Laura was quick to get them resolved. She is also very accommodating and will try her level best to help out. The units are well maintained and the building is very clean. The location is very good as you're closer to the university and the amazing restaurants that the area has to offer. Green lake is a mile walk away and you have libraries near by. Although with COVID, the university branch library was closed, once open it is just half a block away. There is a cat store downstairs which adds to the overall joy. There is a bus stop near by, the streets and the building is well lit. The rooftop has chairs and big planters for you to use. Granted the view is of the city, but that is no fault of the rooftop itself. In the last year, the area in general has seen a lot of sketchy activity and to mitigate that, the building has a lot of safety features. Locks, cameras and what not. We did get broken into the garage once but no one could enter the building physically - thanks to the locks and key operated only elevator. After the incident, we did get an upgraded lock system. I would have probably kept living here if not for work related relocation. There is a parking garage at the bottom of the building at very reasonable rates, although if you have a bigger SUV or truck, might be a bit of a stuffy situation. Overall, I would recommend if you're looking to live in the U-district. I must mention that Laura is very fair when it comes to returning security deposit - as long as you do not do damage the apartment apart from normal wear and tear, she will return it in full and not charge you for every nail hole (like some do). She is my top 2 landlords till date. read more
