I wished I ordered king prawn entree as well. We had chicken tikka masala, which never goes wrong. Rich buttery red sauce with tender chicken. We also tried duck masala, a chef special, but unfortunately I don't find duck goes as well in the sauce, the meat is a bit hard and chewy, compared to the chicken; and I like my duck medium rare (usually in European cuisines). The garlic nann and spiced okra sides are just wonderful. We left with full belly and knowing a new dish(yes the prawn) i'd be looking for in other Indian places.

Portions are very quality and the prices are right on. Our group of 6 ran a tab around 150 which included several beers and starter plates. Chicken Marsala was the table favorite. Naan is able to be ordered with a choice of many flavors.... I really enjoyed the garlic. If this establishment were located in Chicago I'd be here at least once a month. The food is exceptionally good and isnt greasy and stodgy like some Indian restaurants food can be. Everything is presented beautifully, and you can just tell that there is a high standard being aimed for which you wouldnt normally expect. If youre having alcohol with your meal, youre probably looking at spending about £20 a head, which is more than your average Indian, but my writing skills are not good enough to get across how much the extra quality is worth the extra money. Friday and Saturday nights may be worth reserving a table as it can get quite busy.

It said 20 minutes but after waiting 40 minutes rang the restaurant to find out where our food was. Was told 10 minutes but it took 20 minutes to arrive. The delivery driver didn't even apologise. Unpacked the food to find they had missed off a rice dish. Seriously? How hard is it to tick off the order of 9 items before leaving the restaurant. Portion sizes were smaller than I expected. The sag aloo was dry and lacked seasoning. The lamb tikka was heavily over coloured. Called to complain about the missing dish and the guy couldn't tell me how long it would be, so I said don't bother. 20 minutes later the same driver returns, this time apologises and gives me a bottle of coke as compensation. By that time we had already finished our meal, what was the point? Sorry but they need to up their game.

I am utterly useless with hot food though, so Im certain this is more my intolerance rather than the Chefs over enthusiasm. If you're there to eat and drink for the evening it can work out a bit pricey, but you pay for what you get and I certainly wouldnt say it's really expensive or anything. The decor is contemporary and the staff all know exactly what they're doing and are highly efficient. They do have plasma screens in there too, which often play music in the background, and sometimes football if there is a high profile match on. The bar can also be hired out for private parties.
