Biryani could be better but the butter chicken was great. Seems to fill up though so arrive early. Very authentic food and a nice ambience.

Brilliant food! We…read moreopted for a takeaway from this restaurant on a Friday night when we couldn't be bothered cooking. We ordered a selection of starters, mains, rice and naan to share and I enjoyed all of it. The mixed starter was a lovely way to try a few different dishes but not be too full before the main courses. There are no pakoras on the menu which I did find a bit disappointing, but it did make us try something else for a change. We ordered a few different dishes (can't remember them all!) but we definitely had both the Butter Chicken and the Garlic Chicken and a Dahl, all were full of flavour and got demolished! The restaurant was clearly very busy, both with sit in diners and take away orders, yet our order was ready about half an hour after we phoned it through. Would highly recommend giving this place a try.

On Trip Advisor, this restaurant had over 230 ratings with a rating of 4.5/5. My wife and I had the Chicken Masala, a chicken curry dish, a cauliflower potato veggie, and a coconut and almond naan- Peshwari Naan. And it was all excellent. Give this restaurant a chance. They have friendly, great service with delicious food. It was a welcome change from the "typical" English food that we had eaten while in London.

When I do go I prefer sitting in since the atmosphere is nice with the music and the presentation of the food but if you take out as a student you get 15% off. Some of the dishes are served with heating candles underneath so it stays nice and hot throughout your meal. It's a bit unassuming on the outside and usually not very busy but it is 5 star rated and very clean. The dishes are around 8-9 pound for mains. If you go on Tuesday (Curry night) for 9.95 you can get a starter (I love the chicken or lamb) main, vegetable dish and either rice or naan (I believe they make the best naan out of all the indian restaurants I've tried in my area) The garlic naan is so delicious! Sometimes I just get some naan from there on my way home because it's so great. I wish they made them bigger since they're roughly the size of a personal pizza from pizza hut, so it's expensive on its own (about 2 pounds). They do loads of special offers so check out their website for them and some photos of the place. It's really close to the university, only a short walk from the Shinfield Road entrance.

Naan, hot mango chutney and raiti were among the extras. A cold Kingfisher on tap topped off the experience. Service was excellent. I'll be heading back to try the butter chicken.

We did family style, so everyone ordered a dish and we just grabbed a bit of everyone's food. We got biryani, butter chicken, korma, and everything was great. My one advice would be to get the basket of flavored naan. They have a selection of Naan breads and they were all delicious. Service is a bit slow, but they also have a lot of customers.

Don't know exactly what it's called but we started with the chip like crackers to dunk into the 4 sauces that was already in front of us. We also shared the karahi paneer which was cheese mixed in a curry with a ton of spices and paneer shahi korma which was a tomato based curry. Each one was super flavorful and delicious! While it was vegetarian, we were more than full with the carbs of the naan. I highly recommend this place. One of the best Indian places I've been to!

The old menu had the 'Oriental thali' if you fancied a blow out and you liked a variety of foods this could not be recommended enough. In the restaurant I struggled to finish the meal, as a take out I always had something left for the next day. My only regret is that local parking is scarce and I now live too far away not to drive. When I lived close this was a regular haunt now it is somewhere for special occassions.
