Food: was really great had the mix grill seekh, chicken, and shrimp With rice and a tika sauce and garlic naan food was great Service: was cool Ambiance: is ok the restaurant is clean

Stopped in and enjoyed a lovely meal with my husband. We both ordered the Mumbai Mixed Grille which came with Chicken, Shrimp, Seekh Kabob on a sizzling skillet with peppers, Tikka Masala and Rice. We also added an order of garlic naan. The flavors were very delicious and our meat was cooked just like we like it. The portion size was generous as well. Our server checked on us frequently and the ambiance was welcoming and inviting. Overall it was a very lovely meal and I would come back and order the same thing again!

    Chicken Saag and Saffron Rice

I was in town and went to the Saffron Patch for the second time. It had been a couple of years since my last visit. However, I knew that, like last time, I would be getting the chicken saag because I'd really enjoyed it previously. This restaurant is quaint, and there is parking behind the shopping center it's in. We went about an hour before closing. We knew what we wanted so we were able to order quickly. We split the masala potatoes which were like flat french fries that had a tasty dipping sauce. I was happy to note the chicken saag, once again, didn't disappoint. I would give them four stars except that we felt very rushed starting about 30 minutes out from closing. I get starting to prepare to shut things down in the background, but chairs going up on tables on either side of you while you're eating is a bit much. Hopefully it was just a one off experience. The food, however, was good! If I lived in Cleveland, I could definitely see it being a frequent to go order location. I would still go back again on a visit.

    Palak Paneer with rice

We went here last night with some friends and it definitely satisfied my Indian food craving! My favorite dish is typically saag paneer, but because it wasn't on the menu, I ended up ordering the Palak paneer, which was really good! I ordered medium spice and honestly could have used a little more spice. Good to know for next time! My partner got the chicken tikka masala and we shared the vegetable pakodas. Both were super delicious!!! I also got to try some of the biryani my friend ordered and it was so good with quite a kick to it! The service was quick and the place was very clean and had chill/casual vibes. Most importantly, there was a TON of parking in the back. Overall would recommend and come back!

"Malai Kofta, Kashmiri Potatoes, Shahi Paneer

Very disappointing. Spent $16 each for three different curries(Kashmiri potatoes, malai kofta, shahi paneer) and you guys used the exact same sauce for all three and the sauce was some bland green mush that was completely inedible. Most Indian restaurants that tend to use the same sauce for all their gravies at least use a more palatable orange tikka masala. I have no clue what this bland green mush was. This was the worst Indian food experience in Cleveland by a long shot, made worse by the non trivial prices.

Solid Indian food nestled in Northern Ohio! I can definitely see myself stopping by or ordering from here in the future when I'm craving Indian cuisine. I had been hearing many great things about Saffron Patch for quite a while, so I had relatively lofty expectations coming into the restaurant. As a result, I was pleasantly surprised when these expectations were more or less met (at least with regards to what I ordered!). In terms of the food itself: I highly recommend the Maharaja Mix Grill. Both the seafood and the meat were cooked extremely well, and the flavors worked well together. I asked for the second highest level of spice, and it turned out to be strong but not overpowering. The portion size was more than adequate (seafood included), and with rice and naan on the side I was able to take some home as well. One of my friends ordered the Palak Paneer, and unfortunately he wasn't as complimentary. He mentioned that the portion size was small, only having a few cubes of paneer with the rest composed of sauce. I was able to try a small bite and the taste was definitely there, but I can't speak to his experiences otherwise. With regards to the service: My interactions with the staff were very positive - our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and was more than willing to give recommendations on specific dishes. He was attentive to our water refills but didn't hover. No complaints here. Overall, I had a positive experience with Saffron Patch. I can't feel justified giving this place five stars just yet because my friend didn't have the greatest experience with his dish, but I would definitely consider coming back.

Quick Review: The service was really nice and the environment was comfortable and homey. The food quantity was small and the taste was nothing unique. However, it did taste and feel very authentic. Long Review: I came into Saffron Patch with extremely high expectations as I heard it was one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Multiple people had recommended it to me and I love Indian food. During the first interaction with the staff, everyone seemed very nice and they were very accommodating to our party of 5. We went at 7:20 which was not too crowded and they seated us immediately as we arrived. The manager brought our waters and was the one that led us to our table and he was very friendly and made sure that everyone was comfortable. The waiter was also very kind giving us recommendations on the menu and making sure to check in for water or extra rice. Now in terms of the food, I was underwhelmed. We each ordered individual dishes. I had the Palak Paneer and my friends ordered dishes such as Chicken Makhani and Chicken Tikka Masala. The dish was small which I was accustomed to but there were only 6 cubes of paneer (yes, I counted). The rest was just sauce! I was very disappointed. The taste was nothing exceptional for my specific dish. However, the other dishes that I tried tasted very authentic but still had small quantities. I think the rice may have been my favorite. And it is unlimited!!!! The best dish that I tried was the Maharaja Mix Grill (picture included). That had excellent taste and the quantity was worth the price. I would highly recommend this dish if you like assorted meats and seafood prepared in an Indian style. To finish this review, I only wish the taste and quantity of my specific dish was better. One thing I was really happy with was that the manager came and brought on the house rice pudding! Tasted amazing. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

How to Cheat Americans and others who haven't tried Indian food ? Visit this place. WORST Restaurant that i ever tried in USA. 1. No matter what you ask for. The so called "biryani" is a mix of some green peas gravy and white rice +chicken/lamb/lobster. Total waste of money. Youtube is better. Look at the pictures by yourself. 2. The food serving plates and the ambiance is a plus which deceives people . 3. Tandoori Shrimp - DO you even know to cook any food ? . Crap.

For someone who is not very familiar with Indian food, this place makes it easy to customize and try out stuff. Nothing was too spicy or too overspiced, thankfully. Everything tasted relatively fresh but the portions are too small for the price. It's not like at Chipotle or Cilantro where they fill up your bowl. I almost never finish my portion in one sitting but I had no problem doing so here. I wish there were more veggie toppings and not just pickled ones. Scallions and cilantro would be great options to have. The mango lassi was delicious but so small. The inside is high ceilinged, spacious and has plenty of seating. The big group bench in the middle had such heavy and had awkward block seats. They were hard to get in and out of and were so uncomfortable.

Men absolutely mess up the restrooms and women bear the brunt of it. Petition to go back to restrooms specific to the sexes.

In the front of the building there's an Indian grocery store with the same name, but once you head around to the back, you'll see the entrance to the restaurant. There's ample parking and a small patio. I wanted to try something beyond my usual chicken masala or butter chicken, so I asked for a recommendation and placed an order for pickup over the phone. The employee recommended the malabar chicken, a coconut curry dish, however I opted for a cashew curry dish. The chattined chicken korma was super tasty, not too spicy, and full of flavor. The chicken was super moist and tender and It came with a good amount of jasmine rice and two pieces of garlic naan. The naan was moist in some areas but somewhat overcooked in others rendering it a little bit tough to eat. I also got an appetizer of samosas, which were absolutely incredible! The potatoes were packed with flavor and the pastry outside was both flaky and soft. The samosas came with two dipping sauces, one chutney and one that tasted like a sweet tea dipping sauce. Both were really good. Overall the meal was very tasty and had great flavors. My only complaint was the size of the chicken entree. It was pretty small in comparison to the amount of rice. The sauce that it came in was really tasty, but was quickly swallowed up once I put it over my rice. A slightly larger to-go container would have solved this problem or less rice. I will say, I didn't finish the entire meal and definitely felt full. I'm happy to have discovered this place that's been in an area I frequent for over 8 years. I look forward to trying another new dish in the near future.

Since this restaurant focused on southern Indian cuisine, we tried to order only South Indian entrees with 2 exceptions (masala dosa and palak paneer). The mango lassi is made fresh with real mangos, the freshness of the mangoes is evident and no extra sugar. For appetizers we got chicken cutlet, veg cutlet parippu vada and Gobi 65. All were wonderful. Although I was not expecting the chicken cutlet to be made with very finely ground chicken. What's a great way to start the meal. Hard to believe but it gets better with the meal. For our mains we got: palak paneer, vendakai masala (okra), eggplant masala, kappa with green curry, goat curry in bone. We ordered medium spice level on all the entrees and it was ok for me. My favorite was the goat curry with bone, the meat was tender and the flavor profile was out of this world weather you eat it with naan or rise. Awesome food can't wait to go back for my next meal.
