11/2025: food looks mid 12/2025: Could tell by the pics food was mid, gave it a try and yes mid. Tastes like indian fast food. Price and portions ok. The rice was buttered and was lowkey the best part. The garlic naan was very fluffy and kind of bland and uneven fluff. asked for extra spicy i didnt taste any spicy really lol. The ingredients in the chana tasted like they were fighting each other. Prolly will try the biryani next time. Service ok. The spoon had like a soap residue stain or something on it too u can kind of see in polic.

Went for lunch today with my cousin. The food was so delicious! We got coconut chicken, samosas chaat, mango chicken, a cheese and a garlic naan! Everything was fresh, hot and the flavors blended so well! Our server was great! Super friendly and prompt! The restaurant had lots of seating. They also have a party room he showed us that can fit 30/40 people! Hands down the best Pakistani food I've ever had!

Their Pakistani food is delicious and their menu has great variety. Their pani puri and chai were the standouts to me! Definitely share the stuffed naan for the group. The portions were huge and a lot for even the two of us to eat through at dinner (though they also made excellent leftovers)! Service was a bit slower so be prepared to potentially wait, but the quality of the food absolutely made it worth it! Already thinking about when we can visit again just to eat here.

I really, really, really wanted to love this place! I grew up in Racine. I was back home for a…read morevisit because my niece is getting married. I haven't been back here for more than 10 years. Growing up, there weren't any Indian places to get food from, so when I saw an Indian restaurant, I was excited! I have been living in Orlando for the last 20 years and I eat Indian food at least once a week. I am also spoiled to have an Indian grocery store nearby and I purchase a large box of frozen samosas so I can throw them in the air fryer whenever I have a craving in front of the TV at night. I was getting ready to leave downtown and head back toward my niece's house and wanted a small snack to hold me over for the hour drive. I decided to try this restaurant for a unique combination of Indian and Pakistani food. I ordered one of my favorite dishes, Samosa chaat. I was very specific and asked for it to be vegan. In the meantime, I needed to use the restroom. As I made my way towards the back of the restaurant, my shoes began to stick to the floor. This was quite a bit of a turn off but I dismissed it as perhaps a mess that wasn't able to be thoroughly cleaned yet. When I went into the ladies room, there was no toilet paper. I had to go back out into the restaurant and ask for toilet paper which seemed to be a small ordeal for them. Needless to say, the toilet paper situation was resolved and I discovered a sticky floor in the bathroom as well. I started second guessing my choice of a place to eat. Again, I dismissed it And went to sit down at my table where the floor was sticky yet again. I should've left at this point. I looked around the restaurant and I noticed that there were three other tables of people eating the food and chose to stay because of that fact. When I received the Samosa chaat it was smothered in both tamarind and cilantro chutney (most cilantro chutneys are made using yogurt and I requested a vegan entree...unsure if this chutney had yogurt.) The samosas were made out of wonton wrappers and deep fried. The potato used inside was completely flavorless with some being so overcooked it was like mashed potatoes and some being so undercooked, they were as hard as rocks. There was no spice. My nose should've been running while I was trying to eat this. The channa masala on the dish was tasty but cold. The red onions had the most flavor of all of the ingredients on the plate. But I couldn't get passed the potatoes and left 85% of the dish uneaten. (I failed to get a photo ) I am thoroughly disappointed and bummed out that I couldn't find good Indian food in my hometown after all these years. Perhaps I'm spoiled by the large Indian population in Orlando. I shared my critique with the gentleman who took my money and I was told that they would try to do better next time. Well, there will not be a next time.

That suited us as we were low on time and on our way to an event. Service was efficient and polite - a one man crew up front had everything easily under control. The atmosphere is spare and pretty basic, but that doesn't take away from the food experience. My mom's beef dish came out sizzling and spicy. She enjoyed it and the generous portions means she brought a lot home for an additional meal. BF had chicken tikka, which he also enjoyed. He's usually a lamb guy, but he finished his dish happily. I enjoyed my paneer - it had a good heat level and abundant fresh , whole spices and fresh ginger spears. It was not the more common creamy, mushy spinach, but a fresher version that I presume was more typically Pakistani. I had plenty for two meals. Our breads were good. My cheese bread tasted like cheese pizza and couldn't be terribly authentic, but hey - cheese and bread can't be wrong. Mom enjoyed a plain lassi. I did order a side of rice and was happy to have it with my dish, and while it was a generous portion, the price seemed a little high for a side. I would certainly eat at Peshawar again. Very good food with no bells and whistles.

We also ordered a drink, the Gaon Ka Buzurg (Village Elder) tasted like a floral garden, like we were back in Taiwan having afternoon tea! Also smells really good At the end of the five courses, the waiter asked us if there's any dishes we wanted to try again. Would 100% come again! Great selection of a few, expertly made dishes - most being vegetarian. Fun fact, the chicken dish usually runs out first. It's a lunch place and only open for a few hours each day, M-F. Pro tip - come at 11am to ensure you get your top meal choice. Sometimes I come through at 1:30pm (they close at 2pm) and there's really not much left. The portions are decent for lunch - two "mains" like I usually get daal and paneer plus basmati rice. That will run you $14 (without tip). The spice level is always very nice meaning there's heat but it doesn't overwhelm (at least I don't think it does; with the caveot being I love spicy food). People rave about the green sauce but I think the meal is always tasty without it. There's seating available if you want to dine in but everything is served in styrofoam and easily can be taken to go. I'm glad this place exists downtown and provides an excellent alternative to Third Ward dining options / meat-centric cuisine. The only potential issue you'll have is parking. Street parking in Milwaukee can be a pain especially in the summer but metered parking close by during the week isn't too hard to find. Let's just say don't let it deter you from giving this place a try.
