Store is overly crowded due to the fact that they have displayed merchandise at the front end and backend of aisles and down the aisles. It gets very difficult to move around when shopping. Plus the store just looks terrible. Shelves are dirty and run down. The company does not care about the looks of the store and are unwilling to invest in it's upkeep. That, and they are always moving things around and taking product out that I was buying, and I generally have to go-to another store to purchase it. Just got two supreme combo plates - yakisoba noodles, Korean beef, general Tso chicken and egg rolls. The noodles were dry and hard. The Korean beef was tough The general Tso chicken was so salty. Unfortunately we only eaten a small portion and gave up. We are usually pleased with the hot delicious food The service was good. Sunday meal to watch the football game. read more

I shop here often, mostly for customers on Doordash and Uber eats, customer service is fair, they always have enough registers open. My issue is items being out of stock, I've had to substitute things for my customers. Also I've come in and found the bread Isle cleaned out of regular loaves of bread, only certain special bread was available. Keep your items stocked and I'll give you a 5 star rating. read more

Went to go get my coworker some flowers for her birthday and figured a little nice detail like having the flowers wrapped in some parchment paper so I went to the florist who was scheduled 11.21.25 at around 4pm and I greeted her saying "hello I was just wondering if you are able or if you can wrap these flowers in some parchment papers "she continued to sigh, roll her eyes and say "ugh sure I can" and sighed again proceeded to call on the intercom "code 3 at floral center I need help." It was me and one other customer before me. No one was rushing her left complaint with store manager, but this was so unprofessional and so unwelcoming all I wanted was to do something nice for a coworker and got greeted with disrespect. read more

Pretty standard Safeway here - good selection of produce, lots from the Yakima Valley where we grow most of the food for the state! Good beer and wine selection, nice baked goods, including individual bagels as well as donuts every day. This is definitely one of the go to sprouts to grab food for the masses. One thing that keeps them from getting a bit higher score is the fact that they almost always seem to have fewer people working the registers than needed. It seems that there are always one or two registers open and at at least one of them somebody is paying with either change or a check. It looks like they have some self check areas, but there never open when we tend to be there - which does happen to be either early or late. My sister ordered a birthday cake for her 6 year old daughter from Safeway bakery and it was an absolute MESS. It was supposed to be "Disney land themed" we went ordered picked out what we wanted including edible image on TOP of the cake and on the SIDES. They didn't ask what color we wanted the border or anything *see pictures below* It looks like a Halloween cake it's sad and my sister and niece were so disappointed. I called the same day of pick up and spoke to somebody at customer service who then said they would speak to their supervisor and call back, she called back left a voicemail that her supervisor was going to b heading out and they would give me a call the next day. That was on Saturday it is now Wednesday. No phone call or follow up. If you value your special occasion I would advise picking up a cake somewhere else or maybe a different Safeway bakery. Of my gosh! I can't even explain how fantastic the service is here! I literally come in daily and everyone knows my name!!! It's like a grocery store Cheers! I'm so grateful for the crew here working their butts off during a pandemic. I'm not sure if saying names in appropriate for Yelp. But Sam, Amanda, Angel and Mathew are all rockstars!! And they have to deal with angry, upset people on a daily basis, but always have a smile on their face! And always give my other half and I the absolute best service!! This Safeway can get crowded due to spacing, but that's because of the great selection of items. If you are short on time, don't forget to stop by the deli. They have the best selection of items not available at other Safeway stores. The hot food items are vast and they still have the good olives and meats for your cheese boards. read more

This review is for their deli. Plain and simple, don't go to this Safeway if you want breakfast. First complaint, their is never anyone available to help you when you walk up to the counter. 2nd, their turbo oven is "down" about 90% of the time; so they'll give you the option if you want your normally toasted sandwich or bfast burrito cold or not at all. 3rd, if you're their before 8am, the pre made stuff is usually from the day before. The staff is very friendly and apologetic, so I'm going to chalk this up to a management issue. Though I live a few blocks away from this Safeway, I have no problem driving to 24th and Nobhill. I'm very, Very, disgusted with the Asian food section! I'm seriously wondering what they are cooking that's called orange ,G-TSO Chicken. It has very strange texture its like straw sticks when chewed.......Fried rice very greasy and undercooked. Noodles same thing! I will be bringing the meals I purchased Jan 18,2019. back for refund . Used to shop here exclusively, but the service level has been on a gradual decline over the past year to the point that it is a last resort only stop. The deli department is understaffed and next to impossible to get deli meat unless you plan to stand there for 30 minutes. read more

Bill Berman manager of the Summitview Yakima store refused to do anything but tefund the price of a bag of infested salad. "This the way it's going to be" says Mr B, as he refunded the price in an arrogant tone. No checking the rest of bagged salads to see if they also had large green bugs. No apology for the shock my wife got when the salad on the end of her fork began to move. What a jerk. I wrote a letter to Safeway management and got no response. Now that Albertsons and Safeway are one and the same i will not trade at either store. read more

This is my pharmacy experience. Physicians order for three scripts was placed with Safeway on 56th in Yakima, WA. on a Monday a. m. 1script had to be ordered (available next day-understandable). 2 scripts were filled but I was charged double (2x the single Price). I returned that day for refund. Next day, I returned in p. m. to pick up 3rd script, but had to wait for them to "unpack" the order and fill. The following week, physician again ordered 3 scripts on Tues. a. m. I went to pick up later that day (approx 4 p.m.), same scenario, had to wait to fill scripts. Only 1 script filled, 1 script had to be ordered (told available next day- Weds) and 1script could not be filled til the following day (Thurs.) due to insurance restrictions. I waited til Thurs noon to pick up last 2scripts. Again, I'm told I had to wait as their Tues order had yet to be "unpacked" to enable filling order. I said I would be back after 3p.m. to pick up. I waited til Friday a. m. to pick up those last 2 scripts. When I went to pick up, again told that order needed to be "unpacked" to fill. Rotten service, multiple trips, lots of wait time, all while my vision is screwed up from surgery. I will never again use Safeway pharmacy, in fact, I think I'll drive a little farther and patronize Rosauers. read more

This so far is the best Safeway in town. Their bakery is always stocked, and the cake decorator Angie, is AMAZING. She did an outstanding job on my son's birthday cake, and went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect even reminded me to get candles. The deli is the best I have seen, the china cook Hong is a master to say the least. The food is ALWAYS fresh, and hot, and looking amazing. There was an employee, Sam, who went out of his way to help me get the best deal for my buck when it came to getting trays and salads for the party. He asked what kinds of food people at the party liked and from there he help me to pick out the best ones. I have gone back many times and the deli crew has always been there to make my time perfect. There are 3 employees there that will go out of their way for each annd every customer, Sam, Hong, and a man named Eric. I love going into this store and ordering from the deli on my lunch, they not only make me feel welcome, but they now know me by name and make me feel like I am walking into a tiny hometown general store.
