You can improve service. Specifically from Kayla in floral. How can you least help a customer- ask Kayla. I just wanted to order a corsage and a boutonnière. Offered no help of the process and I basically had to ask my way through everything. Then couldn't help me buy or repackage a lei.That I would have to buy at the front. No explanation even though she just rang me up for these god awful prom flowers. Desperate times. What about a sturdier package- no I can't help you with that because that's how they come. Great selection of fall seasonal items including pumpkins, cinnamon scented pine cones, etc. The fresh meat and seafood section smelled fresh and were well organized. The produce was fresh and arranged in an appetizing manner. My checker was really friendly although I don't recall her name. I believe she was Lead based on a brief discussion she had with another checker. The staff were jovial and expressed their excitement by yelling in glee as customers made voluntary donations to charity. read more

New Chinese food court at Safeway is very good. My favorite is the rice bowl with princess chicken and a side of vegetable stir-fry that I add. Their mushrooms are tender and so delicate yet firm. The fried rice has a seasoning I can't describe but very satisfying for my taste buds. Definitely beats bland. I normally pick up my order around 10:30am for lunch when it' comes straight from the skillets and into the trays. When it comes to Chinese cuisines I tend to stick to my favorites so I haven't tried any of the other entrées yet. . read more

I had a large order in the meat department; between curbside pick up and the department there was a huge snafu big mess big mixup; had to literally come into Customer Service, made them take screenshots of all my banking apps the Safeway app pictures --everything! Had everything straightened out but nope ~they still didn't fix it; so I had to finally come in and just pick up the order myself in store. Checked out ($71) with a dept employee standing right with me mind you! But what did Safeway charge me behind my back after all the trouble they'd caused me!?-- $129 and change! I talked to the manager, got a huge runaround about different procedures between curbside and in-store purchases ....customers don't give a darn about that--they just want you to do the right thing. Important note: I was actually charged BOTH prices. ultimately was charged over $200 for that one order; they were supposed to return the $129 and instead they returned the $71. Nice. She would not correct it because she said she could not. She's the manager! Again customers don't care about your excuses~they simply want you to do the right thing. I'm a local and I shop at this location often. This morning, I came in to buy the Kombucha and juice shot drinks. This morning was a bad experience at this Safeway location. It's so horrible that I'm compelled to write this review. Do better Safeway and this is specifically to the cashier guarding the self checkout this morning, date, Sunday, June 1, 2025, 9:00AM. I specified the date, and time so they can check the books who was scheduled to work the self checkout area, so that the correct is person is address. Safeway, you all get your business for every customer that spends money in your store. It's a give and trade , you have product, customer sees product and buys it. Customer is happy and business continues to stay in business. I spend $22 and some change today at your store. And obviously, that's not much compared to other customers who spend more. However, that's not the point here, a customer is a customer, regardless of the amount they spend. That's still money earned for the business. Now, I came in here this morning, and like I said, bought juice shots and kombucha. I done this on many occasions spending money at your store for goods. This morning, the juice healthy drink that I picked up said, $2.99 each if you buy 3 or more. The regular price is $3.99 each if not on sale. I picked up 3 bottles, so I could get the $1.00 discount for each bottle. I bought 3 bottles. When I entered my rewards card #, the items showed $3.99. That said, I told the cashier, "Excuse me this is not showing as $2.99, but on the tag, it clearly shows buy 3 or more, it's $2.99, so she said, "Okay, let ask staff to do a price check." After, 3-5 mins pass, staff employee (not the cashier who was watching the self checkout area) comes back and tells me "Your right, it does say $2.99." I'm like okay, I knew I wasn't seeing it incorrectly. After another minute or so pass by, the lady cashier comes back and tells me , "Oh, it's for a different item", so I said back to her, "Ahhh, okay, well, you all should remove that tag because if you look at the placement of the sale tag, it can be confusing to the customer because the item (juice shots drink) is placed above the sale tag causing the customer to read it as a sale item." A person who has judgement would have said something, " Yes, you're right, that's our mistake and will fix it." This cashier ignored the suggestive feedback and instead immediately, gaslighted me, the customer, and insist to me "No, it's for a different item , we can go look together to prove to you that it's a different item." In my mind, being calm (I'm chill and calm individual) I'm thinking, I understand that it's for a different item , but what I'm saying is, "The sale tag is placed incorrectly, causing confusion to the customer thinking this is a sales item because of where the item and sale tag is placed." She didn't take the feedback and instead defended herself. This whole time, I'm just watching her facial expression and body language, thinking in mind, "Are you serious, I get that it's for a different item, but I suggest you remove that tag so that the customer isn't confused." Obviously, I wasn't speaking this out loud and just thinking in my mind. Why argue with her, she isn't using rationality here, she gaslights the customer, instead. I basically didn't say anything anymore and told her "It's okay." Clearly, she isn't logic and rational person here, Safeway. And she is suppose to set an example for cashiers and represents Safeway employees , but no, she defended herself and didn't take the constructive feedback. No sorry , no nothing from the mistake on your end at all. Wow! Anyways, some caution and suggestions for customers who come in here, you all should take photo of all the sale items you get because they will not honor the sale tags even if it's their mistake. And yes, I wanted to save $3 . BUT no, this cashier will gaslight you. Mind you the staff that checked the price said, "Your right, it does say "$2.99", but when the cashier came, "She said, no, it's for a different item." And obviously I wanted to save $3 but more than anything it's PRINCIPLE of it, Safeway. I been a shopper at this Safeway location for years providing them business and support local businesses here in Vacaville. You all should do better with making sure the tags are place in the correct spots instead of giving false advertisement to the customers. And instead of making it correct, you all tolerate that cashier gaslighting the customer. Not a great way to start Sunday morning! So many bad reviews I never shop here anymore ( I started going to Trader Joe's years ago) but came in here Sunday looking for a Victorian type decorated cake. They did just what I wanted! Beautiful cake and very fresh! and the price was amazing for a triple layer cake with fresh strawberries The color was way brighter than I asked for but it worked out fine. Every now and then I'll stop at Safeway on 2090 Harbison Drive in Vacaville and notice how unprofessional some of the women are that work there, as if they are back in high school, just standing around certain individuals and laughing while gossiping. at the checkout aisle near one of the exits/entrances, one in particular by the name Tanya/Tonya. Another is a new hire, I think, and I can't tell what their gender is; they have short, medium-length, curly textured hair. Another woman with long black curly hair and glasses acts very unintelligent around them, gossiping and talking bad about a beautiful woman that was with a man. I asked some guy that worked there as a concerned customer for her name specifically. At times she would have a phone in her hand while walking around like she was secretly recording people. entertainment purposes. She's very strange. I'm not familiar with how correctly I spelled her name, but every time I stop there lately, she is always laughing extremely loud out of nowhere as if she is off her meds. Just out of curiosity, maybe she and a few other women there shouldn't be working and should seek mental help instead. Very embarrassing on Safeway's part for hiring such unprofessional workers. read more

The shopping experience over the past year at this Safeway has downgraded quite a bit. I don't shop Safeway much. When I come, it's something specific I can't find at Winco or Grocery Outlet. There's usually long lines, with maybe 2 registers open. It's hard to find employees for help for anything. The shelves aren't fully stocked in some areas. The price continues to go up when it's already pricey to shop here (I know that's everywhere these days). The sales/club card savings is leaving it less desirable to shop here. There were no carts in store to use, aside for the hand baskets. The ready 2 heat meals options aren't what they used to be and less appetizing. read more

I had to use the restroom when i was driving back from a trip. I stopped here and went in. The place was pretty big and looked nice and clean. I got back to the restrooms and they were locked. They have key pads to get in. There was a call button that said if you need assistances push. I didn't get it. I was going to search the tips on Yelp to see if someone posted the code. Instead I walked to the pharmacy which is right next door and he called over the PA to help me get in. Well someone came out and I was able to get in. The bathroom was clean but has those air blowers which I hate. I think they must of cone that because of the bum problem which happens everywhere. I like this Safeway compared to the others around the area, but sometimes the customer service is not so great especially at the self checkout. I go thru self checkout because it's usually faster than the regular checkout. I went thru self checkout, and I was told to make sure I put how many grocery bags I'm buying. I had already put that I was buying 4 bags, it was obvious the clerk had not seen that. I spent over $150 on groceries, I don't need to steal .40 cents worth of bags! I've never taken anything from anywhere! This is not the first incident at the self checkout counter at this Safeway. If they are so worried about people stealing then just get rid of the self checkout counters. read more

My wife goes every week and is very pleased with the how well stocked the produce selection is, the meat/chicken/shrimp she gets in the meat selection, as well as the bagels and rolls in bakery. She gets the best customer service in the deli. They are quick, friendly and always have a smile on their face. The store is clean and all the workers are nice and willing to help. read more

This store can be SO hit or miss. Being disabled, today was a huge miss. Multiple isles blocked by stocking/display work (in the afternoon), and the usual issues of overbuilt endcaps/checkout making it hard to navigate, but the worst was this disaster (pictured). Rather than having the mobility cart available to people who need it, it was partially loaded with stuff then abandoned along with their apparently broken ice freezer? I don't know. It was that way when I got there and still like that when I left. Their other mobility scooter was dead and unplugged. Sadly inconsiderate. Glad I had my own but in the days when I didn't I would have had to leave. Unfortunately they also missed on products today and didn't have what I needed. read more

I told myself I'd never order delivery from this Safeway again. Unfortunately I didn't listen to myself. If you're getting older or if you're handicapped, never order delivery from this store for any reason. Order from Raley's, the food is the same quality or better and we've never had any problems with delivery. Safeway on the other hand is a complete disaster. I placed an order for delivery, a small order by our standard, about $89.00. The order was due for delivery between 3-5 pm. What we received was someone else's order. Our order was for fruit, melons, meat items an miscellaneous items. What we received was a small peanut butter, small pack of almonds and cinnamon raisin bagels, obviously not our order. We called the store as the delivery driver drove away. We were told by a store clerk that it was not a store problem. It was a DoorDash problem and we should call DoorDash but didn't have the number. That conversation was really upsetting. We ordered from Safeway, we paid Safeway, Safeway charged our credit card. When we explained that, the clerk said "I don't know what to do and hung up. Our next stop was the Safeway delivery call center that from the sound of things was over 7,000 mile away. We had a similar conversation with the call center, "that's not a store problem, that's a DoorDash problem". After a long conversation we were offered a refund that would take 5-7 days, I didn't like that. Imagine paying in full for your groceries at the store, then paying a clerk extra to take the groceries to you car only to have the clerk and your groceries disappear. I think anyone would expect a refund on the spot. No, not going to happen, come back in a week and we'll give you a refund. The operator I spoke to offered redelivery of our order by 10:00am the following morning and I agreed. When the order didn't arrive by 11:30am the next day I call the call center again and repeated all of the information. After a call to the store by the operator, I was assured delivery between 12-1:00pm. When the groceries hadn't arrived by after 2;00pm I repeated the process. I was then told the groceries had been picked up by DoorDash again. I finally gave up and realized the problem, they were showing our order had been picked up and delivered the day before and that wasn't true. I don't know where DoorDash took our groceries or just decided they wanted fruit salad, hamburgers, hotdogs and a salad for 8 people for their own dinner at our expense, I just don't know. The only thing I did know was that we were now going to need to make other arrangements for dinner. I finally decided to try the refund route on the original order. The problem with that is Safeway still has our money and I'll need to wait 5-7 days to see if they actually give us the refund. I have my doubts and expect the problem to continue. Please watch "Go Fund Me" for my bail request. This Safeway and their delivery process is the most screwed up operation I've ever encountered in a business, they just don't care, not one little bit. After 45 years, 4 kids, 8 grandkids, always loyal customers, we'll never set foot in a Safeway again, nor will any of our family, never. You have much better options in Vacaville. Shop Raley's or Nugget but never spend a dime at Safeway, they can't be trusted. In the end, we ordered delivery from Raley's and were happy with the experience. Safeway, at least Store 1109 in Vacaville doesn't care about its customers and will not help you with even a small order of less than a $100.00 and they couldn't care less about wasting 2 days of your life waiting on a delivery that will never come or giving your money back in a timely manner. This behavior cannot be rewarded by any community. I'll update when or if I see a refund or if I need bail money. read more

We have ordered like this before; this time we have been told twice to "be patient" when someone actually answered the phone and was a manager. I went into Safeway today ( Vacaville) and just HAVE to comment on the bathrooms. I took my 4 year old granddaughter to the restroom, and was frankly, quite disgusted by the state of the bathroom. There was urine on the back of the seat, and pubic on the toilet seat, and toilet strewn about.... Is anybody responsible for checking on the bathrooms?? I had to clean the toilet seat and put the toilet seat cover on...AND, the toilet needed cleaning. I won't go into detail I consider Safeway more of a high end Grocery store, and what I saw today was pretty gross... Somebody needs to be assigned to check on those bathrooms... This Safeway is the place to be. The best part of the store is the pharmacy department. They are exceptionally professional and provided what you need with speed. They answer the phone when you call as well. The message service will call you when you have something for pickup which is helpful when you forget. Sometimes there just for deals don't ring up so I just wait and let them figure it out. read more

Ordered for delivery. I only received 3 items out of 12. Received a bunch from someone else's order. One bag was mine. I had 1 of my items in each of the other 2 bags. No way to talk the them directly. Put in claim and got refund. But that still left me without items I needed. So I'll have to have someone go to store for me to get needed items. Pros: Staff members are great and really nice! Love that this Safeway really pushes for food bank $ holiday donations. Charlene is the best at the intercom! She makes me feel like she truly cares and she was super nice and kind at self check out. I was taken aback by her awesome customer service and dedication. I know for sure their $ donations are high because of her. Con: Their self check out stations are finicky and requires a staff member to come by for no reason to clear the system. There isn't a way to self cancel the transaction and restart (if it was a small purchase, it would be even more frustrating). Absolutely do not go to this horrible deli. Three of us were ordering 10 mins before the deli was closing. The guy named Mason behind the deli was very rude taking our orders and after making two of our sandwiches skipped away dancing and waving his hands in the air. We were shocked and were standing there waiting for our third sandwich. He then walked back and asked us "if we wanted anymore sandwiches and said they were closed and we couldn't order a third sandwich". Then we went up to the manager in the polo shirt and he said he "was no longer manager and was off work" and pointed to the assistant store manager and head cashier in a purple button up who said they should have made our sandwich and would be happy to go over there and make us a sandwich but I was very upset and said "this is ridiculous he would have made our third sandwich". Then another worker all in black said he would "take care of paying for our groceries" but I was still irritated and said " no thanks but please talk to Mason and let him know that was uncalled for". Safeway needs to improve curbside pick up. It's the worst curbside pickup I have ever experienced! I ordered curbside and they were late completing my order than they said my order was ready for pick up. When I get there to check in, no one ever comes out. No one answered the phone when I called and I had a sleeping baby in the car so I couldn't get out to get groceries. The experience was very inconvenient. read more

I'm very impressed with this Safeway. We bought a veggie tray that went bad within a day of buying. Brought it back, got a full refund, and replacement of what was returned. We also ordered a birthday cake from them and it was great! We ordered it two days before we needed it and the baker was very accommodating. I wish I got her name, because it would be all over this review. I went to Safeway today to purchase dinner at the deli which I do every now and again. I bought 2 buckets of fried chicken and some sides. I was very disappointed when I got home and looked at my fried chicken. It looked awful! It looked like it had been in that heat tray all day and was definitely not edible. I wish I would have got pictures. It was hard and dried out which makes me worry about safety and how long they are leaving the chicken out. I did come in and get a new batch of chicken for free after I showed them the chicken I was given, so I did appreciate that. I hope in the future chicken that looks the way it did will be thrown out and not sold because it could possibly get someone sick. read more

Was in here yesterday morning around 830 am and the aisles were still full of ladders and stocker carts blocking already small aisles. I had my AirPods on full blast and could still hear the workers de palletizing bread pallets loudly and violently. The store manager had on a Jerry Rice t shirt and was chilling in the employees only freezer talking to a younger lady when I left. The cash register lady asked me "if there was a game on today". I told her I don't watch sports and put my AirPod back in after I took it out to hear what she was asking. I usually turn the music down and read lips at checkout, the usual "hello, did you find everything etc". This register lady asked me questions nonstop with no regard to my head phones. Additionally I had to go out in the rain and get my own extra cart because they were incapable of packing a cart correctly ie hotdogs in a bag with cereal boxes...when I came back in the store mid checkout all my extra bags were on the store floor instead of the counter. I thought I was on an episode of candid camera. She then asked if I needed help out...I said no then she said "are you sure"? I almost lost it. I headed out, only to get home and look at the receipt and see I was rung up for 5 items I shouldn't have paid for. read more
