DON'T ORDER ON LINE UNLESS IT'S PREPACKAGED DRY GOOD. We've shopped Raley's for years back to when it was "The" grocery story in Sacramento over 50 years ago when my parents shopped there. A locally owned, dependable, friendly place to shop. We've shopped the Alamo store on and off for the 40 plus's years we've lived in town. The store is clean, employees are friendly, helpful and the prices very competitive. We've been ordering delivery lately due to our age and current health. Those days are over, done and I'd advise you to do the same. We ordered $205.60 worth of groceries. I ordered them Saturday night for delivery between 8-9 am Sunday morning. The order was delivered about 7:55 am so points for great delivery time. Now comes the problem. The package of fluid dripping raw chicken in the bottom of grocery bag without a plastic bag on it so the liquid almost leaked through the bag. In addition to the chicken several other meat items were thrown in, 2 pounds of ground beef Harris Ranch Prime and Wagyo ground beef along with a package of sausage mixed with the raw chicken juice from the leaking thin sliced chicken breast package. The bananas were old, soft and covered with black bruises like they'd come from a discard bin. Those went straight into our compost bin. Tomatoes that were bruised and split, also now composting. All of the vegetables, iceberg lettuce, loose corn on the cob, tomatoes, green onions and an open bag of Dark Cherries were thrown into a bag without any produce bags on them. The rest of the order, bread, yogurt and frozen fruit for smoothies were fine. The unfortunate part of the transaction was the absolute refusal of anyone to take any responsibility for the condition of the items received. When my very nice wife called the store to ask about the condition of the order we got this immediate response, "Oh, that's not us. That's DoorDash not us. You need to call DoorDash". Imagine my shock and I'll admit, some anger. The employee my wife spoke to was very nice as he politely dismissed our concerns and he was very polite. The anger came because, stupid me, I thought I was ordering from Raley's. Raley's, with their history, great quality control and dependable service we'd had for years. As we discovered, we were actually dealing with some random DoorDash subcontractor driver who picks and bags the order while all Raley's dose is collect the money and when you try to talk about any issues, throws back to DoorDash. The response from DoorDash was, "we'll let the driver know." So the chicken will be cooked well done today and our dogs will enjoy it. We've washed the contaminated packaging on the other meat item, hopefully well enough. The bananas and tomatoes are happily composting. We're done with online grocery orders and Raley's. That's a shame that I almost feel guilty about but in this economy, I'm not gambling with our grocery budget. I think the worst part is I tipped the driver at checkout. I actually tipped through Raley's so I could have this eye opening experience. In the end it was probably the most educational I've ever done. It's also a good reminder that you never know who you are really doing business with online. Stupid me for thinking using the Raley's app was Raley's when it's actually some random DoorDash subcontractor with apparently no concern from either one. read more

I made an order for my kids's birthday party last Saturday. They told me it will be ready today at 10:00am. Went to pick it up and they said there was no cake. The lady said she can make the cake in 30 minutes?! Unbelievable, I won't be ordering cakes from them anymore. read more

I don't come here often but when I do I love how clean the store always is. I love to cruise the aisles. Produce is always fresh. Some days they have deals but the cost of things here are typically high. I usually do self check out. read more

Extremely disappointed that Nob Hill meats, in particular, brown turkey breast, is no longer in the deli. It has been a staple for decades. What a shame. It is one of the main reasons I have shopped at Raley's. read more

Visited this supermarket to purchase a dozen of yellow roses for my mother. The price was $12.99, was reasonable price considering it was Mother's Day. Staffs were always nice and ready to help. Very clean and well maintained place. Good to see all the Mother's Day decorations everywhere. read more

I always appreciate the excellent job that the Raley's E-cart shoppers do at our Vacaville location. They never hesitate to contact me when there is a substitute or if another item is a better fit for quality. Cathy and the E-cart team are friendly, diligent professionals. I have to say, wherever Raley's get's their daily fresh donuts in the bakery dept every morning, absolutely kills it! I'm from Napa CA and the only bakery that the locals used when I grew up was Buttercream Bakery. They make the perfect donuts and pastries. I've been sampling Donut shops in my present town and nobody has even come close to matching Buttercream Bakery. And then on a whim I picked up 2 doz donuts from Raley's. They were EXACTLY what I'd been searching for. I know it's too far away for them to be purchased at Buttercream but you nailed it choosing your supplier. I've had bad customer service from this store before the coronavirus outbreak and guess what it continues into the Apocalypse. Not all employees are bad here but in typical Raley's fashion they have lousy old timers here named CHRIS who checked us out today (since 1989 i believe if read his name tag correctly) This guy was the epitome of bad attitude unfriendly and flat out lied to us about stocking on some issues when i asked important questions. I was here yesterday and another girl who was nice gave me some honest answers about if or when things out of stock like toilet paper or eggs would come in. This guy flat out said "WE HAVE NO IDEA !" when these things come in as to brush us off, his attitude was like leave him alone he hated his life and us and couldn't wait till we left. He wasn't even doing a good job scanning things quickly. Then he went to hurry up and bag to get rid of us. Plus he growled "YOU NEED (to buy) Any bags!!!!??" Spent $216.44 and i only came here because they weren't crowded minimized my risk to coronavirus exposure. None of the employees were wearing gloves or practicing safe handling procedures. Typical Raley's bad customer service too. Yesterday there was a panhandler outside there front door and they just let this tweaker guy on a bicycle with no hand grips, hounding people coming in. I told the staff and one bag girl told another employee who didnt do anything about it. Today the employees were all herded around the front door closer to McDonald's all joking around with each other nobody was greeting anyone or being any help at all. Toulet paper eggs and water were completely out of stock but you would think the store director or other stores would ORDER more product so people wouldnt panic buy. read more

Catering + Bakery review This is my second time using Raley's deli for catering and bakery for cakes and every time I've been very pleased with the service, quality, presentation, and taste of their food. The folks in the deli and bakery department are so helpful and communicative. Everything was prepped exactly how I asked and made fresh that morning. Prices are also very reasonable. Everything I ordered looked just like their website and the cakes got so many compliments. I'm extremely pleased and hope someone on their team sees this and passes on the message that they're doing a great job! read more

I have always loved Raleys Supermarket. They have the best quality at affordable prices. When the pandemic hit I was forced to rely on their E-cart service. I have never been disappointed. And now it's just another convenience. Cathy and her team are doing a wonderful job at satisfying all my needs. They are always professional and friendly. I am very frugal and shop other store apps and Raleys more often than not beats their prices. I feed a family of six on a limited budget and can always plan meals around Raleys ads, sales and everyday savings. The Something Extra program, an added bonus! I ordered three gourmet wrap trays and three fruit trays for a memorial service. The staff was very helpful and deciding how many trays I needed for the number of people I had. Very accommodating to make them fresh on the day of the service. And the trays were delicious and beautiful. I will definitely use them again. Very fresh and beautiful! REALLY!!!! So it's ok for your register workers to make fun of us for wearing masks during a pandemic! WOW! Please speak with your workers, some of us take this seriously as we have been affected by this pandemic. How can your employees make fun of someone for wearing a mask and protecting themselves and everyone around them. Raley's please make this make sense and make it right. AFk'N AMAZING ! ( Excuse my French lol ) these folks are the most Sweetest helpful people on the planet ! I was coming here every few days last December after getting dual surgeries on my knee ( I was on a walker ) there staff helped me get my food to the counter , with no hesitation, or judgement ! They just helped , one gentleman offered to help me while he was on his break ! The Asian young lady that works in self check was always nice , and I had a great conversation with her about what was going on with my knee. SHOP HERE !! There service is UNSURPASSED and the store is IMMACULATE . I just recently went back , I'm no longer on the walker , and the staff that I spoke with ( other than the black guy in the deli , he was rude ) were AMAZING !! Every time I go to the Railey's produce department has been rapidly declining. I am very disappointed in the lack of keeping the vegetables and fruit. BAKERY...I shop here occasionally for deals & for the convenience as far as location. I have had their cakes in the past & have not been disappointed. I ordered a cake for my mothers birthday & pre paid as I was directed to do so. I picked up said cake & was shown a "preview" by having the lid lifted...I was a bit surprised at the bright colors used when I was specific to have "lavender" & the writing was disappointing as well but proceeded to leave with cake in hand. Once I was home & it was time to take the cake out of the box & family gathered around to sing, we all noticed how the entire cake was slanted. I paid over $20 for a simple 2 layer cake, something my kids could have made look better. I will not return to Raleys bakery for anything again & hope they can improve their work to actually satisfy customers in the future. **UPDATE less than 24 hours after my post, the bakery manager did contact me personally & offered to refund my purchase as well as apologize. He also mentioned he would speak to his cake decorator to address the issue. read more

I'm very happy to say I'm a Raley's customer again. They truly took the feedback seriously and have made a comeback in their service. The remodel is gorgeous, I've never seen a more visually pleasing produce section. They always have multiple cashiers available for checkout and they're very friendly/helpful. I can't say enough praise for their e-cart service/ team! Their e-cart team has such great attention to detail, communication, and exceptional customer service! I hope they are paid well because they do not accept tips but I've had so many shoppers that have gone above and beyond my expectations in customer service. I agree the prices are rediculous I saw the crystal lite go up by a $1.99 overnight and Arizona tea in the gallon containers also go up over $1.50. During this whole lock down, no toilet paper, Kleenex or Paper towels. No frozen hash browns. Eggs are almost always picked over and low quantities. The staff on the floor are MIA. I live one block from the store but now I drive to Walmart on Elmira they have lots of everything and everyone is helpful. Tons of Bounty paper towels stacked on palates and toilet paper and wipes. I will be avoiding Raleys unless it's something I must have. Very disappointing indeed. I'm over them as we all still have choices. read more

Raley's had a banner outside claiming lower prices. cool! lots of ,microbrew 6 paks seen. big bottles were on the end of the aisle (lucky's and safeway do the same thing). not much selection, some different bottles seen. brew: "Revision IPA" 5.99 (6.5% abv) nevada -really hoppy, it isn't "low impact bitterness". first few gulps were difficult to swallow the last few were no problem. on draught: -ready to eats wasn't immediately noticeable when i entered. no looking for them anyways they're here somewheres. read more

I have been doing ecart at this store since the start of COVID. It is the most wonderful service. Better yet, the people handling all of the ecart orders are above and beyond exceptional. They do their best to ensure that I have the most satisfying experience EVERY time. I was concerned this morning because I wanted to special order my dad a birthday cake for tomorrow. I had a very specialized order that I needed to get in, but didn't want to go inside the store. I was corresponding with the ecart representative, Nesh. Nesh told me that she would personally go to the bakery to see if they could take care of my order. She was able to order my very specialized cake, and the bakery would have it finished the same day! When my order was brought out to my car, she had included a "happy birthday"mylar balloon. That was so extra and appreciated. (It is honestly no surprise coming from this Raley's staff). I drive across town to use ecart, and will continue to do so, even after this pandemic is over, because this crew is simply the best. read more

First time shopper and I was super excited to start shopping here because it's a beautiful store and the produce seems lovely. The older blonde lady working self checkout is the rudest person I have encountered in a very long time! I gave her two passes and tried to ignore her horrible attitude but finally I just threw down my stuff and said you know what nevermind I don't even want it anymore! And she just snatches it and snaps ok all sour and sarcastic. When I asked for a manager James came to talk to me and HE was very nice. Because he was so sweet I will give the store one more chance but I hope something is done about that lady's attitude. I can usually ignore rude customer service but she was just horrid read more

Went here on a Monday afternoon. Cashier was so high So embarrassing. Typically this place is good. Not so much today.

I've been shopping here for 22 years. I've seen a lot of change. I struggled through the most recent renovation because many of my regular items weren't in stock. But now that it's done, I'm finding what I need again. Most importantly, during the renovation, my dog was very ill and would only eat certain things. When I bought them out of those things, I asked them to please replenish quickly. The cashier I was talking to took down my name and phone number, and talked with her manager about ensuring a reorder on those particular items. She went above and beyond to help me out. Sadly, my dog has recently passed, but at least, in the mean time, I was able to get the food she would eat. It meant a lot to me. read more

I went to Raley's this morning for 2 things the atm machine which was the best part of the visit!! I grabbed milk which I realized was leaking asked the Raley's employee what I should do with it she rudely told me just put it down , so I did I went and grabbed another took it to self check out unfortunately the same female employee was there I made my purchase i then asked her if I could check my lottery tickets she said no we don't do that until 10 am ok I just wanted to see if I won anything she then rudely told me they don't pay out until 10am .Never once did I say I wanted to cash it in I just wanted to see if it was worth anything . I called to speak with the manager tried to explain to him what happened I told him what the lady looked like Lady !!! He then asked me what HE looked like I corrected twice the third time I gave up told him I knew he wasn't going to address it because I told you twice already it was a woman not a man !!! Raleys is one of my favorite grocery stores. They have a great rewards program that gives you cash back and coupons each month and they always have a friendly staff at checkout who will help bag your groceries and even assist you to your vehicle. My local grocery store. They are a little pricey on certain items that I can get cheaper at Walmart but the extra cents I spend here is worth not having to deal with "the people of Walmart" or the drive to Walmart. I know that sounds very snobbish but it's true... and you know it . They have self check out. Don't forget your coupons. The times I chose to stand in line I have never had to wait long. Sucks that they're on the other side of town (from where I live) because I love their bakery area! This place reminds me of a Safeway or Lucky's with more natural foods selections. Their prices are hit and miss. Some things are kind of expensive, but I honestly only purchase certain things from here (like bakery and deli items). There's one baker lady that has a permanent frown on her face--I personally avoid her because she scares me. The only thing that I have against this place is that their check out area is kind of awkward. (Reminds me of the way they have their check outs at Trader Joe's). read more
