Experienced my third batch of bad seafood in six months. Avoid their new "Argentine Shrimp", and insist on smelling the Surimi and lump crab BEFORE you buy. And when I called to warn the seafood department to remove the rotting stocks from the shelves, I was provided a ration of indignation. Fine. I was a bit peeved when at check out I had a box of sugar that leaked thru bottom of the box. Cashier simply said that I could take the sugar home & place in a container. I simply wanted the checker to just take the box sugar was leaking everywhere. Nothing like being discounted. Don't much like Safeway. read more

If I didn't have to give any stars it would be ZERO. The cashier JILL is completely rude. If you hate having to give customer service find another job. She gave me attitude & because I didn't have a rewards number she told me to put one of my items back. Never once did she ask if I wanted to sign up or nothing. JILL if you're reading this, please find another job as this isn't the first time you've been rude to a customer. Other family members have said she's been rude to them as well. My pick up order was terrible. I could hardly go through all the bags to check on the substitutions in the parking log. When I got home I found I got 6 cans of peas and carrots in place of 2 of tuna and 1 of chickpeas. Have you eaten canned peas? It's like they gave me all the leftovers no one wanted. I didn't get fresh potatoes may be that where the 3 additional cans came in. I know the grocery stores are stressed, but it seemed to be a quieter day too. read more

This store has excellent customer service and groceries. Their stock is plentiful with well stocked shelves, fresh produce and plenty of organic selections. The bakery is excellent. I highly recommend the fresh bread, baked fresh daily. The meat department is excellent. I cannot say enough complimentary things about Chuck. He goes above and beyond with every customer. I have been coming to this location for as long as I have lived in washington. So I am quite familiar with alot of the long time employees and it is nice that they greet me by name before I get to the counter. The employees are helpful and friendly and I have never had a bad experience. read more

I go here, from Poulsbo, because of the GREAT customer service but in the past two weeks. I have been getting lotto tickets from Michelle at Customer Service. Today, she actually pointed to the line of people waiting for Western Union orders and then pointed to the automatic machine, telling me that it was going to be quite a while before she could help me (if ever was implied). I simply waited for over 15 minutes until someone saw the line and came to help. If Michelle doesn't want to help the public, she should find another job. read more

The store is gorgeous. The selection is outstanding. However the fact that every price tag has 2-3 more price tags telling me what a great deal I'm getting if I buy that product makes me feel like I'm being scammed. This store gives me a headache with all of it's stickers and price tags. read more

I am a lifetime resident of this county and the Silverdale Safeway store has been my store since it first opened. The staff know me by name and the produce, meats, bakery items and floras are always the freshest possible. I never shop elsewhere. read more

This Safeway store impresses with its beautiful product displays, cleanliness and well-stocked shelves. The produce section is jaw-dropping! My friend and I were pleased with the attention and help at the meat counter when we sought lamb chops. The chops were cut well and packed neatly. All the employees we met had a ready smile and were eager to help. Discounts posted on the iPhone app helped a great deal, too. Excellent store! read more

This is where I do my normal shopping but I avoid the meat counter when possible because the lady who normally works up there is super rude! She scoffs, shakes her head, and laughs at you if you are at all picky about what you want. I have had this experience every time she is at the meat counter and I've seen her arguing with customers as well. This is not cool! read more

Get a member card, it's 100% required. If you don't, the prices are insane, laughable even. The place is very clean and they very rarely go out of stock on any items. Their whole chickens are tiny, so skip on those. Lines are slooooow, but I have noticed that as a reoccurring pattern having moved to the state. People chat more, scanners are slower and people just go about their business with little courtesy shown to anyone else. Literally, 4 people will collide at the end of an isle and no one will move because everyone feels entitled. This mentality with the customers just makes the place a complete shit show at times. Imagine a 4 lane highway, going both directions, with no dividing lines and everyone is blind, that's how people shop here. As for the employees, they're all very nice and helpful. I had an older lady insist on making a member card for me, making me wait, and then saved me $20+ on my purchase...worth it. She's a hero now. read more

Always great customer service. Only time it is crazy busy is right before a holiday or game. Other than during those times it is always a pleasant shopping trip. I love to come and grab lunch at the deli, but it would be nice if the deli workers would help out customers. There were many times that I would stop by and there would be a line of at least 4 people waiting with just one person helping and the others just glancing over the counter and continuing to do what their doing. This store is kind to incompetent strangers. We made a small purchase at the self checkout, and somehow failed to close the transaction. Someone else charged an additional $ 45 on our card, which we noticed on our bank statement online. Customer service employee Evie M. listened to us, and took the trouble to fully check out what had happened. This involved checking records for the items we had bought, and for our credit card. She was incredibly pleasant with us throughout. When she told the manager what had happened, the store manager immediately authorized a refund. I wish we lived in the area so that we could regularly patronize this store. read more

I went in Safeway in Silverdale today and I was snap chatting my friend. I was working on fixing up a pic to send to her but it wasn't working right when this employee comes up to me and asks me what I'm doing. I'm pretty friendly so I just started talking about how I was trying to fix my picture and he said to me, "you were taking pictures of our displays and we ask customers not to do that." I was in shock. My face takes up the whole picture I can't imagine how your displays could be in jeopardy. He treated me like a criminal and it was rude and embarrassing. read more

I do not understand why the GM of the Silverdale Safeway cannot get a handle on the inefficiency of the deli dept. I don't know where to begin with my complaint as my dissatisfaction has been ongoing for months. From the Health Dept. Violations to the incredible disorganization. Workers wearing the same gloves from customer to customer (while touching face, hair, garbage can) and not washing hands after coming back from break. Safeway has a sale on deli chicken this Memorial Day week, however, there was no chicken available at the 4pm hour (according to another customer) nor the 5pm hour! They did put out fried chicken eventually but baked would be another 40 minutes. How do you run out of a product...that is on sale... at the DINNER HOUR? I could go on to the rudness at the meat dept. and the disinterested cashiers but enough is enough. I DID think to myself, "It's only food...dont get so upset." But food is Safeway's ONE JOB!!! Make the food available and don't make us sick....Simple! read more

I went into the Safeway to order my son's birthday cake,a week early, and my son wanted a Manchester United Design for the cake, and had a friend print me out a copy of the Logo. So no problem. Until I got to the bakery, the Logo had been folded, so their was a slight fold in the middle of the logo, and one of the "deeply personal staff" (Not really) informed me that, " that's not going to work, there is a crease, so if you want an ugly cake that's your choice." I think she knew I was about to yell, so she got her boss, who did the smiling," no, can't do it, No, its going to show, No, won't do it." I had to go to UPS have them make me another copy of the MU logo, and put it in cardboard so that it couldn't get creased. I'm irritated but when I got back, it was "deemed workable." I asked that they use the Manchester United colors or red and yellow. So I go to pick it up on Saturday, and the boss see's me, and quickly leaves,and the "helpful staff" brings me the cake, and I am livid, but nothing I can do. The cake did not have a creased logo, but they didn't blend it in, so it looked like they printed out the logo slapped it on, and they were two different colors of whites so the lines were really obvious, and then the colors were off, and they put one line of yellow, one line of red. I paid almost forty dollars for this cake. I didn't say a word to the lady in Bakery, but the cashier lady knew I was mad, because I was about it tears, asked to see it, and ended up taking 5 dollars off. (Which I didn't ask for, but was appreciative for). I think the thing that set me off, was last year for his birthday, my son wanted Golden State Warriors, again not a design they carried, but the team in the bakery said, "No problem, we can do that", no extra cost and the cake was perfect. There was none of that, so obviously there has been some turnover, now there was a whole lot of, "you don't like it, tough, we are the only place in town so, suck it up." The cake tasted fine, but my son was really disappointed by it. I realize that loosing my forty bucks won't effect them, but maybe someone will read this and re-think their choice. read more
