Carrie at the pharmacy window explained everything clearly and didn't rush me. Michael the pharmacist came out from behind the counter, walked the aisle with me, and helped pick the right cold medicine for my little guys. At checkout, Maryanne and Terri asked about my membership -- which is under the name Mr. Belvedere, my 16-year-old beagle. That's how we ended up talking about dog food. They even asked to see a picture of him. It was really sweet and honestly made my night. Late, tired, kids sick, and the whole store was still kind, patient, and human. More than I expected. Thank you Carrie, Michael, Maryanne, and Terri. This is the Walgreens I'll keep coming back to.

My review is based on my experience at the photo counter. When I walked up to the photo counter, the employee greeted me and I told her I was there to pick up a free 8x10 photo (if you're a Walgreens rewards member, every so often they give you an offer code for a free 8x10 photo with no purchase necessary) and also to drop off my FedEx return. She completely understood the 2-part mission and quickly retrieved my photo. Then, she asked me to input my phone number on this hand held scanner type thing, which I did, then she scanned my return and I was all done. I immediately received a text acknowledging my return and it gave me tracking options. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes. Being this is considered one of the drop offs for FedEx returns, I found it really simple and easy.

The Spokesman-Review just ran an article about Covid making a come-back in the county so I thought it would be a good idea to get tested. So I called them. The lady who answered the phone didn't speak English very well and after several tries, she finally thought I was asking about a vaccine. So she transferred me to the pharmacy. We got that cleared up--after being on hold awhile--and the pharmacist transferred me to the CHAS emergency clinic. More hold time. I was then told that CHAS no longer administers Covid tests unless you come in, see a doctor, pay your co-pays, and get a "prescription" for a test. And this from a health care organization who spearheaded the very successful and massive testing campaign four years ago. Something sure seems off.

Suddenly, we are told we cannot use a passport and they have never allowed it, stating it is (their policy). Last time I picked up a prescription I was informed that yes you were allowed to use a passport. When I asked about the policy, I was informed it was never their policy not to allow the use of a passport as an acceptable source of identification? hmmmm. Very interesting since it happened to be the very same employee, Maddie, who was the one stating we could not use the passport.... When I asked her specifically about that situation, she couldn't remember.... There have also been too many instances when I call and am informed a prescription is available, only to find out when I go in to pick it up that it is not ready? I am happy not to deal with their customer service failure anymore!

She also said multiple time that many people had thought this item was on sale today. Then when we got to the product she continued to aggressively explain how the advertisement of sale items works. Since she refused to honor the advertised price I grabbed cheaper items to exchange. When I got back up to the customer service counter she was very passive aggressive about the exchange. Whole experience put a sour taste in my mouth. I used to enjoy this Walmart as it's clean and organized and well stocked compared to the one closer to me, but after this experience I won't be returning.
