I have attended many CCW renewal courses in the years since they began to be required by the state. Some are better than others. I can confidently say Safely Carry has been the best. If anyone were to ask me to recommend a CCW class I would without hesitation recommend Safely Carry. The live fire qualification was quick and effortless, in and out with no issues. The classroom is very comfortable and pleasant. Amer, the instructor, is interesting and energetic, very important attributes for an instructor of one these classes. I never got sleepy the entire time! That in and of itself would be a great reason to choose Safely Carry. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable concerning all the laws and stuff you have to know and remember, including and especially when and when NOT to shoot, he is also an accomplished competitive shooter who is able to communicate gun handling, marksmanship, and the shooting type skills that are required to not only be good with a gun, but safe as well. But the thing that stood out to me was, Amer is humble. Whether you're a brand new shooter or have been carrying and shooting for decades, nobody likes being talked down to and Amer talks to you like an old friend. There is no arrogance or air of superiority which is so refreshing after having to endure this kind of thing in some other classes. If you're doing something wrong, or unsafe, or some other flaw in you're technique, he'll point it out and explain how to correct it, but like a friend, without any kind of attitude whatsoever. I think all shooters, new and old, will benefit from this class. It's not something to dread. Just do it, have fun, get your certificate, and start carrying. read more

I recently completed my CCW class with Amer at Safely Carry, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Before taking this course, I viewed concealed carry primarily as a personal right. After spending the day with Amer, I left with a much deeper understanding that it's also a tremendous responsibility--not only to yourself and your family, but to everyone in your community. He did an outstanding job emphasizing safe decision-making, situational awareness, conflict avoidance, and the mindset required to responsibly carry a firearm. One of the things I appreciated most was the class size. Instead of being packed into a room with 50 or more people, the smaller group made the experience feel much more personal. It almost felt like a one-on-one session, and everyone had the opportunity to ask questions and receive thoughtful, detailed answers. Amer has a tremendous amount of knowledge, not just about concealed carry laws and responsibilities, but about firearms in general. He covered proper handling, safe carrying techniques, maintenance, storage, and practical tips that come from real experience. No question felt rushed, and he made sure everyone understood the material before moving on. If you're looking for a CCW instructor who genuinely cares about making you a safer, more responsible firearm owner--not just helping you check a box to get your permit--I highly recommend Amer and Safely Carry. I left the class feeling more confident, better educated, and with a whole new appreciation for the responsibility that comes with carrying a concealed firearm. read more

I recently took this CCW class and honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, the instructor kept everything professional, engaging, and most importantly focused on safety. The classroom portion was extremely informative without feeling like a boring lecture. They broke down the legal side of concealed carry in a way that actually made sense, especially around use-of-force and where you can and can't carry. That alone made the class worth it, since understanding the law is a huge part of carrying responsibly. What really stood out was how much emphasis he put on safety. The instructor didn't just go over the rules he enforced them and explained why they matter, which made everything stick a lot better. The range portion was equally solid. He took his time working with students of all skill levels, offering clear, calm coaching on fundamentals like grip, stance, and trigger control. You never felt rushed or judged, which made it a great environment to learn and improve. I also appreciated how organized the class was. Everything flowed well, there was a good balance between classroom and hands-on training, and he respected everyone's time. Overall, this class left me feeling confident, informed, and much more prepared to carry responsibly. Whether you're brand new or just need your permit, I'd highly recommend this course. read more
